I just love LBP. I just love the levels awesome creators make. So I was wondering, "Hey, why not make the first contest for it?". So ladies and gentlemen, presenting: "Your First LBP PSP Level" Contest! Simply make your fist level on LBP PSP. That's it! It can be from a romance level, to a horror level. Anything, as long as you due the following rules: Rules 1. No rude stuff! It's a family game. 2. Must be finished before January 1,2010 (New Year's Day!). 3. Must have LBPC in the title. 4. The LBPC sticker must be seen in the level somehow to promote this site (look for ConfusedCartman's level). 5. Only make one entry. This is called "'You FIRST LBP PSP Level' Contest", not the "'All Your LBP PSP Levels' Contest". I'll be judging the levels. If you want to help me judge, then post it up here. If you're going to judge, then you can't submit your level. Judging will go by the following categories: Spit and Polish Details and everything fancy gets you this. Talking about the LBPC sticker, I wonder if LBP PSP will have Go! Cam support? I need to find if there's a cable for the PSPgo yet... | 2009-11-01 22:10:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
Don't quite understand this CyberSora. The following things are confusing me: (1) The PSP version isn't even due for release here until November 20th so that doesn't give us much time to learn how to use it and make a level. And that's assuming it isn't delayed too. (2) I have the LBPC sticker in the PS3 version but how will we be able to get it onto the PSP? (3) How will you be able to view the PSP made levels? | 2009-11-01 23:33:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
(1) For the LBP PSP thing, it's due to November 20 yes, that's why I gave you until December 21, 2009. (2) I'm hoping you can import stickers from LBP (PS3) its self. If not, I'll just snap a shot of it and post it in a level for people to get for the contest,or due it yourself. (3) LBP PSP is able to do the same thing, which is publish levels online. | 2009-11-02 00:45:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Could someone confirm that the PSP version has a photo sticker function? | 2009-11-02 00:54:00 Author: Darth J464 Posts: 343 |
It's not comfirmed, which is why I said that I'll probably snap a shot of it and publish it. Either that or you snap a shot of it from CC's level. | 2009-11-02 01:00:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
What I meant is how do you know it has a snapshot sticker feature? | 2009-11-02 01:22:00 Author: Darth J464 Posts: 343 |
Well it's more of a "I have a feeling it does" type of thing. Still, I don't know for sure if it has it. | 2009-11-02 03:21:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
@ CyberSora - In your initial post under 'The Rules' you put that the level must be finished by 1st of December hence mrv thinking it wasn't a lot of time to get it done. | 2009-11-02 14:50:00 Author: mrsvista Posts: 755 |
Sounds great, I'm in! I'll be burning the midnight stuffing all of December to get a decent level put together. Photo sticker functionality or not, it should be easy enough to put together a fair-looking LBPC logo and have it displayed somewhere in the level. | 2009-11-02 23:23:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
@ CyberSora - In your initial post under 'The Rules' you put that the level must be finished by 1st of December hence mrv thinking it wasn't a lot of time to get it done. Woops! I missed the 2 in 21. Thanks for mentioning it. | 2009-11-02 23:54:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
I might enter. Do you have a back-up plan in case there is no snapshot function? | 2009-11-03 01:23:00 Author: Darth J464 Posts: 343 |
Ya. Make something that will sponsor LBPCentral. An object spelling out LBPCentral, a custom made sticker, or even a monkey shouting, "Hey! Go to LBPCentral or DIE!" | 2009-11-03 02:39:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
That is good. I think I will enter it. | 2009-11-03 02:53:00 Author: Darth J464 Posts: 343 |
Great! Spread the word across these forums. | 2009-11-03 03:43:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
or --->due<--- it yourself. Shouldn't this be "do"? And I may enter as a judge, seems how my level creating skills aren't the best, plus the fact that It'll take time to get used to the game. Oh, one more little problem some people might face: Some people may not have very many stickers/materials/objects by the time this project is due, so the visual effects of the level may not be as great as they can be. Anyway, I'll definately have to check out some of the levels created for this. Good idea, CyberSora :] | 2009-11-03 05:13:00 Author: Sackwise Posts: 305 |

And don't worry about your creating skills... Just have fun and go for it. @Sackwise Sorry for saying "due" instead of "do". And sure, welcome on board the judge panel. @jackofcourse Is that a joke, or you really mean you published your first LBP PSP level? I still don't think LBP PSP is out, that's why. @Everybody The end of the contest is 21 of December, so I think you'll be able to get all the stickers and time you need. | 2009-11-06 23:54:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
I believe jack is participating in the beta, so he probably really did publish a level. | 2009-11-07 00:05:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
I believe jack is participating in the beta, so he probably really did publish a level. Never heard of any beta for the PSP version. Even if there was one nobody taking part would be allowed to publish a level made in it before the official release. In the normal LBP beta ( OC and water ) it's even been said you won't be able to keep the levels you make and cannot use them in the normal game when the beta is over so I can't see it being any different for the PSP. | 2009-11-07 00:11:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
Ya. that's why I asked. | 2009-11-07 00:49:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

Regardless, I agree that any level published in beta probably will not be around for long. | 2009-11-07 01:19:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
oh sugar, i just realized that since i pre-ordered it through amazon and chose the "super-saver shipping" that i wont get it until, like, december. so i guess that i'm gonna have to work extra-extra hard.... | 2009-11-07 03:43:00 Author: pebble Posts: 14 |
I'm not 100% sure, and probably wouldn't say if I was just to make sure I'm not breaking any rules, but... If you consider that when LBP was first released, all the levels from the beta did get carried over on to the proper servers..so I don't see any reason why that couldn't happen with LBP PSP | 2009-11-08 17:54:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |

Well I think it's a pretty obvious that creating on a PSP is going to be much harder than on a PS3 where you can see what you're creating on a massive tv, so in respect, no it is not as good. But I don't believe they're something that can be compared outright like that. The PSP version is excellent considering the consoles limitations, (processing power, screen, buttons etc). It takes some getting used to and is less forgiving than the ps3 version, but it does its job very well. | 2009-11-08 19:52:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |
There is a beta, I got a code to, just waiting for my PSP to be fixed and sent back. | 2009-11-08 20:21:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |

To make holes in shapes you just have to make it out of two different shapes. It's easy enough, not really a great problem tbh. | 2009-11-08 21:14:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the cool level system is at least decent. At least I now know there'll be some community levels to play right off the bat when i get it. Idk If i'm going to record all the entries, or just the winners, or do some of the early beta levels and the winners, or what. And why do I have this strange feeling there's gonna be a a PSP Ramp when I check the Community levels for the 1st time  | 2009-11-10 05:55:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
Because ramps are fast and easy. The minute LBP PSP comes out, people will compete for their levels to be on LBP PSP first. So ramps will make an easy and fast level to publish first. | 2009-11-10 07:25:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
I predict a ramp, a tank, and some type of extreme ninja challenge. | 2009-11-10 08:08:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
I predict a ramp, a tank, and some type of extreme ninja challenge. I predict a play, a heart, and a win. (We'll see) | 2009-11-11 00:45:00 Author: Sackwise Posts: 305 |
I predict a ramp, a tank, and some type of extreme ninja challenge. All these have been massively covered in my first level. There's no room for improvement on them, ever. Everyone will be far too intimidated to even attempt to try and make them again. I now own ramps, tanks, and ninja challenges in LBP PSP. This is actual fact. Proven by the factual committee of facts. Which is based in the non-fictional (factual) city of Facton. | 2009-11-11 01:23:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |

I'm glad somebody has finally managed to corner the market on those types of levels. Now we can all move on to bigger and better things. The next time I am being punished with an impossible-by-design ninja level, I am going to post a link to this thread. And to the factual committee of facts website. Which I haven't found yet but I know must exist, because it's a factual committee. | 2009-11-12 06:23:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |

I will definitely be entering this competition. Never made a level before, but I have a plan! Should be not too bad (hopefully) | 2009-11-15 21:23:00 Author: Unknown User |
The contest ends on the 21st of December, so you'll get the hang of it soon. | 2009-11-20 22:11:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Is it too much to ask to postpone the contest to new year's or something? As you guys might already know, I'm getting my PSP and LBP for Christmas... | 2009-11-28 08:55:00 Author: zeldarocks Posts: 120 |
My level is done! My official submission is The Right Stuffing (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=19533), which I have also posted in the PSP level and object showcase forum. Looking at the rules, I just realized that I neglected to include "LBPC" in the title.... Oops. The LBPC logo, however is clear as day right at the beginning of the level, so hopefully I still qualify. | 2009-12-06 18:14:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |

Hi! I am new to lbpc (just introduced myself) and i think i could join this competition to. I am working on a level for some time now and i think it could be ready in the next days. So did i get it right: i make my level, publish it, announce/promote it in this thread and i am in? think this could work! greets! | 2009-12-10 13:23:00 Author: Arrestor Posts: 363 |
Okay, since one said Gadder is getting LittleBigPlanet PSP for Christmas. For that reason, New Year's Day is the new deadline. I hope you won't be left out of this competition now. So for those who feel like tending to their work, then do so. One thing though. Im giving you all a few more extra days, no? Well, those extra days is coming with a catch. The catch: it must ALSO advertise/sponsor/whatever-you-call-it the original LittleBigPlanet for PS3 in any sort of way. | 2009-12-11 01:58:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Hey CyberSora - Thanks for the update. I'm sure a lot of people creators will be glad for the extra time. I might need to publish a 2nd version of my level to adhere with the rules, assuming that's ok by you. The catch: it must ALSO advertise/sponsor/whatever-you-call-it the original LittleBigPlanet for PS3 in any sort of way.By this do you mean the level has to have in it a reference or advertisement to LBP PS3 or a specific PS3 level? Could you clarify? Thanks. | 2009-12-11 02:48:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
Any way to enter the contest without the LBPC name or sticker in your level? =P I'm about done with my first LBP PSP level, which is also my first LPB period, but I've no room left for anything. It's actually troublesome.. I swear I never imagined I would reach the end of the thermo in this level. | 2009-12-11 03:35:00 Author: CronoDyne Posts: 40 |
The catch: it must ALSO advertise/sponsor/whatever-you-call-it the original LittleBigPlanet for PS3 in any sort of way. As much as I appreciate you doing the contest and giving us extra time, I do not think that changing the rules on us is a good idea, many have completed their level already or are mid-way through completion and may not be able to go back and change the level in said way. If you were wanting to add a theme to the competition, it should have been set in stone from the start, not mid-way through. Again, I hope I don't come off sounding rude, I really do appreciate you holding this contest! I just figured I'd throw in my two cents. | 2009-12-11 04:24:00 Author: FULLGORR Posts: 245 |
I agree with Fullgorr. I will soon finish my level and sticked to the rules that were put up first. another thing is that i didnt ever play lbp for ps3, so i dont see why i should connect my level with it in that way. (dont get me wrong. supporting the connection of both platforms in general is a good idea!) But i am also very thankful for the competition! | 2009-12-11 20:49:00 Author: Arrestor Posts: 363 |
I just uploaded my level for the contest. U can have a look at it here https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=p=349281#post349281 Hope u like it! | 2009-12-12 11:07:00 Author: Arrestor Posts: 363 |
I am in, count on me! I have no bad thoughts about the deadline being pushed further away, as I will have a lot of hard work to do. My level is quite incomplete, but I think I will finish it soon enough... BTW, CyberSora, Could you please write which date new year's day is, and then also have it standing on the front page? | 2009-12-14 16:49:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |
When is judging set to commence? | 2009-12-21 18:48:00 Author: zeldarocks Posts: 120 |
Okay, no advertisement of LBP PS3? For those who already did it, sorry. :/ New Year's on January 1, 2010 by the way. And finally, if you can't show off the LBP PSP Logo (which you can get by searching for "LBPC Logo" on the Community Moon), then at least mention it in any other way. Magic Mouths, stickers, descriptions, anything. Hope it helps. EDIT: The deadline is updated and the XP Prizes have increased a bit. | 2009-12-21 19:53:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
"Must be finished before January 1,20010" AWESOME, A 10,000 YEAR LONG CONTEST | 2009-12-21 22:40:00 Author: zeldarocks Posts: 120 |
Forgot all about this contest! I've never been one for putting LBPC or any other kind of advertisement in my levels. Not really sure why, I guess I think it takes away from my personal attachment to it. I think I do enough participation on this site to warrant that kind of 'selfishness' though Good luck to everyone who enters!! | 2009-12-22 03:36:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |
"Must be finished before January 1,20010" AWESOME, A 10,000 YEAR LONG CONTEST Lol, I thought the same thing. XD Ok, well I published my level entitled "Euphoric Physics (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=20112)". I hope you like it! Although I failed to include the "LBPC" in the name title, I hope that it's alright! I did however include the LBPC logo within the level! Thanks! -Fullgorr | 2009-12-22 03:37:00 Author: FULLGORR Posts: 245 |
Sorry guys, but I have to withdraw from this competition... My level was attacked by an irritating glitch, and now the whole level is just a mess. It was the glitch were some stickers suddenly jumps a little to one of the sides, destroying whatever I had stickered, and I couldn't de-sticker my objects and reset them! They really have to improve createmode! Sorry | 2009-12-30 17:23:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |

Sorry, I had a lot of issues over the past few days (PS3 breaking, getting sick, etc.). I'll try to get in in before the end of the week. As for XP, that will have to wait until the XP system is back up. | 2010-01-18 04:10:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Yeah, I was beginning to wonder what the heck had happened to you..... Judging by your post (and your new signature :eek it sounds like you had a bad couple of weeks. Well, take your time and it's good to know you're still in one piece. | 2010-01-18 07:35:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |

Wow, very close indeed. Well hey, this is awesome - thanks CyberSora! To say the least, I'm completely amazed at how well this level has been received, and to co-win something like this is something I never expected. There's a lot of extremely talented creators on these boards, and I'm just happy to be in their company. Congrats to FULLGOR and Arrestor as well - you guys deserve it! | 2010-01-25 16:57:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
@Arrestor No. Technically, in official contest and such, the usual placing of a person is 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.. If there's a place that two people get, say two tie in for 1st, like in your case, then it skips the one place and places the third person in that place. In other words, the most common thing to do is to skip 2nd and place you 3rd, in order to keep the balance of winners, which is three. But that's just a number, in the case of that loop hole, your kind of considered 2nd. @The Winners Congrads again! XP will be awarded as soon as the system goes back up. | 2010-01-30 05:42:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

Helloooooooooooo everyone! After months and months of waiting, I'm glad to announce that the XP system is back online! And with that, I have finally given the winners their XP! So, now that the burden has been lifted, you can all drop any weapons of mass destruction that you have on you right now. There's no need to suicide bomb me anymore for the XP. Now have a good day. | 2010-07-18 05:50:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

Thanks Cyber! I'm glad you like it. I hope this little incident will remind people about the XP system, and whether or not they owe people some XP.* * I'm a man of my word. I was practically waiting for this day to come; to lose 700 XP. | 2010-07-18 08:12:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
