Today, I went to Finnish event called Digiexpo. There I found a major discovery: PSP GO with LBP PSP. It was awesome! I will buy the PSP only for the game. And if you don't believe me, you don't have to... I did not record it or anything that will have a proof. But I'll tell to you: The jumping is WAY different. Also by pressing L+Up the sackboy will make a cheerful spinning jump. Seems like there is emotes . EDIT: The loading times was really, really long. Hope they'll fix it... EDIT2: Now, I'm really sad because we didn't take footage of the game, sorry to let you down. (It was the last day of the expo, so I can't get back there ) | 2009-11-01 15:06:00 Author: ZramuliZ Posts: 55 |

It is about even. It feels more like Mario then Sackboy, though. | 2009-11-01 19:02:00 Author: Darth J464 Posts: 343 |
So more arcadey and less floaty? Not that I mind the way normal LBP plays, but arcadey is good. | 2009-11-02 23:16:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
Haha, floaty. Funny use of the word. Anyway, the jumping definitely looks like it would be more comfortable. Can't wait to try it out | 2009-11-03 05:15:00 Author: Sackwise Posts: 305 |
I had a go on this at the Eurogame Expo on saturday. It looked really good- they've done a great job recreating the look of LBP. I didn't play long enough to get a feel for the new jumping. Any change in the direction of Mario is an improvement IMO... as it stands, I think LBP's player control is one of the weakest parts of the game. New players always seem to get annoyed by the inertia-heavy movement. I expect LBP PSP will be a bit more easy to play. It was noticeable that some controls were missing- inevitably, due to the limitations of the PSP. When placing stickers and decorations, you now have to hold a button to toggle between movement mode and rotate/scale mode. (unless I missed some other way of doing it.) I think that could be quite a lot slower in create mode. I also kept tilting the PSP to move Sackboy's head, with no effect :hero::blush: Still, all very cool. I'm looking forward to playing more | 2009-11-04 00:04:00 Author: Tig-W Posts: 106 |
Yeah, because you have less control over over sackboy's movements and the new jumping, he does not feel as floppy. I kinda miss that. | 2009-11-04 01:15:00 Author: Darth J464 Posts: 343 |
