I noticed recently that one of my older levels (no longer on cool pages or highest rated or anything) was starting to pick up quite a few plays. This confused me as it was slightly successful when I first released it but had never reached any of the major pages (highest rated, most plays etc.) So I went and thought about how it was getting these plays - ad it just so turns out that it's coming up to Halloween - and the level name? Halloween Town. I put a search for "Halloween" and sure enough I'm on the first page of that So it appears that making a level for a holiday will end up getting plays each year, which I found interesting. Any of you guys found similar things with your levels?

Yes, Operation Sackeater seems to get no plays whatsoever no matter what season it is.

Hmmm, I would imagine this would effect many levels during each different season. Of course if you did not publish the level without any seasonal event and it's decent, then overall you'd probably get more plays. Since when it's not Halloween, no one plays Halloween levels. I don't know what I just said xD

I think real Ice Maiden may have really caught onto to something of interest here. I wonder how well a level called "Halloween Christmas New Years Valentine Summer" would do? (A story about various holiday figures enjoying the summer weather on a beach, no doubt)

My levels get hardly any plays, even if it is 'National Make a Waterfall' day or 'Cardboard Appreciation Month'

By the way Sara, Box-ghost makes a cameo in my Halloween level, freshly-published - EDIT: If you want to know if you survive or not, you'll just have to play it! muah hah hah!! Anyway, back on track - Out of 3 levels I've published, 2 are holiday-themed. We haven't seen a second Christmas in LBP land, so I'm thinking once this Christmas rolls around, "A Very Sony Christmas" might pick up some more plays, but I can't be sure yet. Maybe I should rename it for a new year and a new audience? I've just published a Halloween level, but I didn't put Halloween in the title. Which I probably should do, since people will likely be searching for Halloween levels today... but I'm sooo sleepy... Pulled an all-nighter getting it done. It's kind of a shame that there's only really going to be interest in it for one day, considering it's Halloween already. Ah well.

I was planning on playing some lbp after I attempt to go for a walk (i'm going to get rained on) so I'll check out your level then, mr. Teebonesy. I'll be very eager to see how christmas levels fare once it becomes that time of the year. I know last year I played a whole lot of christmas levels in december, and I found them from searching "christmas"

Thanks, man! It was very clearly my first level - so many things I would have done differently now. Lots of sloppiness. Still love the little guy though. Poor Santa. BSprague, you inspired me to add "Halloween" to the title of my Halloween level, at least just for today. "Fear and the Phantom Town" may not bring in the appropriate holiday plays otherwise.
