A gaming dilemma

I have found myself in a bad situation of choosing from a large variety of games to buy, however, I only have enough money for one. My options are: Team Fortress 2 Machinarium Garry's Mod + Half-life 1 (They are cheap enough for both) Half-life 2 Braid. Help please? | 2009-10-29 23:34:00 Author: iiiijujube Posts: 594 |
Well Personally.. I've had over 90 Hours of fun on TF2.. It's seriously amazing. HL2 IS fun but finishes.... Gmod + Hl1 .. Get GMOD + Hl2 or CS:S its ?1 more and better -- Overall -- 1. TF2 2. GMOD + CS:S 3. HL2 | 2009-10-29 23:52:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
I don't play it much anymore... but TF2 is for sure the best. Its not that it gets boring, but my friend ruined it a bit for me xD | 2009-10-29 23:55:00 Author: iGotFancyPants Posts: 1355 |
Dude, isn't TF2 like $2.50 for the next hour or so on Steam? Go get! Quickly now! EDIT: Looks like you may have just missed it. http://tf2.com/post.php?id=3014 It is 20 bucks for a few days though. | 2009-10-29 23:57:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |

GMOD + CS:S 3. HL2 I don't have enough for gmod and HL2. HL2 is $20.00 and gmod is $6.00, which is out of my price range for this. I already own counterstrike, so that's also out. I was leaning towards TF2, but can anyone give me a good description of what exactly goes on in the game? I have a good general idea, but still. Dude, isn't TF2 like $2.50 for the next hour or so on Steam? Go get! Quickly now! Sadly, I missed the sale. | 2009-10-29 23:58:00 Author: iiiijujube Posts: 594 |
TF2's a blast. There are 9 classes, each one VERY distinct from the last. Tons of different types of game modes. Capture the flag, territorial control, really really cool "push" maps, where one team is on offense and their goal is just to push a minecart bomb slowly through enemy territory and to the final checkpoint. the defense team digs in and sets up choke points to keep the mine cart back. There are a ton of other modes as well. Some of the cool things you can do as some of the classes: Heavy Weapons Guy - wields a massive chaingun, has a huge amount of health, and is basically a walking tank. Usually found with a medic-buddy keeping him alive in the fray. Spy - disguise yourself as an enemy combatant, hide in the corners and cloak to become invisible, and literally stab enemies in the back. Engineer - my personal favorite - can build teleporters for their team, dispensers that give out health and ammo, and automatic turret guns that are hugely powerful, and the centerpiece of every defense. | 2009-10-30 00:01:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |
Well I already knew the characters from DasBoSchitt's gmod video series (and I have a heavy quote in my sig). I still really want Machinarium, though. It's awesome point-and-click robot adventure goodness. EDIT: I've decided on TF2. See you there! | 2009-10-30 00:04:00 Author: iiiijujube Posts: 594 |
