Hi I'm new here and I LOVE LBP!

Archive: 15 posts

I just bought a PS3 Slim and Little Big Planet and I love it so much. I'm still trying to learn how to use all the creator tools in create mode.

I'm trying to make an Area 51 level with aliens and stuff, and an Egyptian level. I keep trying to make things look very realistic and its making me kinda frustrated. I think I need to simplify things for my very first level.

Add me to your PS3 friends list if you play LBP alot. I don't have many friends on my PS3 yet.

Great idea to choose LBP. And before anything else, DO NOT ACCEPT ANY FOOD FROM ANYONE. People are known to poison newcomers. Good luck in this wonderland of Utopian wonderness. Be sure to read all our stories too! They are here (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=71).
Check out mine especially.

I know this feeling so well...

Don't hesitate to showcase your levels here once they're online,
Getting feedbacks always helps to learn and improve!

I played LBP for a year now and still can't stop playing it ;p

The sad thing is that i'm only allowed (Parent restrictions) on weekends which sucks

If you have time, add me and i'll show you every thing you need to know about LBP

Looking forward in meeting you

Hey there Tomvis! Everyone's pretty much said it all already, so I'll just say WELCOME and make yourself at home. I've made most of my PSN friends through the social groups here, so take a look and get involved if you feel like it.
If you're interested in aliens and Egypt, and those two COMBINED, you might be interested in our Stargate fan group (Tauri of LBPC). No pressure ; ) Go where you like and sew your LBP oats, so to speak. See you round.

Hi and Welcome to the best forum on the LittleBigPlanet.

I'm sure you'll have lots of fun here.

I know exactly what you mean there. I'm one for getting things realistic myself as you'll see if you play my Sheriff Sack level. The only trouble with doing that though is that it eats thermo as if it's cake !!

I have a question that I just can't figure out. So I've been playing community levels, and in a few of them they have some wide and long backgrounds.

What I mean is that usually (at least I though) there are the 3 layers of space (backgound, middle ground, and foreground). Just the space that you hit L1 and L2 to change where it is. But in some levels theres are alot more than 3 different layers. Its not just a thin layer that they used to make a backdrop. It has depth and everything, and then there were the 3 layers in front of it.

I hope someone can make sense of this question that I probably described horribly lol.

If I'm not mistaken, your talking about the layer glitch. You can find a few threads about it here, just do a Search and I'm sure you'll find it.

By the way, welcome to LBPC. Next time, if you have a question just do a quick search and you'll probably find your answer, and if you don't you can always start a new thread at the Help! section.

Thanks! I will defiantly go to the HELP section for now on. I didn't know that it was a glitch. I think I won't worry about that right now lol. I'm still trying to get a grasp on proper level design, and use of all the tools and gadgets.2009-10-30 06:22:00
