The original idea behind this level was to create a race where you could grab different power-ups that would help you along the way. It kind of drifted away from that, but i still think it's a fun level and i've tried to give it a little bit of replayability.

i'll be doing a few updates in a little while to hammer out some kinks, but in the mean time i'd love to know what you think!

That looks like a very fun level!
One thing I noticed in the video, do you have to move at the pace of the camera?

you can escape the camera if you run full-tilt... just be careful cuz there's other surprises for super-anxious players

I'm still working on making core mechanic user friendly. I want the players to have good range to move in but i don't want the dragon completely off-frame.

the way it works now is based on the distance between the dragon and the spawn point (where the camera is centered) Basically: the distance between the dragon and the portal closes slowly, but if you grab the turnip blocks it will widen the gap. So if you grab turnips and you die, you won't fall out right in front of the dragon's mouth. It also means if you're diligent you'll have some room to zoom. If not, well you have a big dragon on your butt

problem is most people don't even seem to get the turnip block trick at all...

Wow - cute level I love your dragon!

Good things going for this are the layers of challenge you've put in. Lots of little stuff to do that can affect your score. Seems fair but challenging for sure. Couple of places could use some polishing up but the look overall is good. I must have played this 7 or 8 times. 5 stars & hearted.

Morgana dragged me into this level last night... and of course I was kicking and screaming all the way..

Ok.. not really.

This level is really really cool. Half level, half survival challenge, half moving whack a mole/pinball game of sorts with it's dissolving sections. Since that adds up to be 1.5, that says to me, awesome level.

I loved the concept!! Horribly clever that is brilliant and fun for anyone.

The turnip dragon is a silly wacky fun idea and wow.. the movement and design is incredible. Made me want to linger a few times causing us both to die horrible deaths. ...though always a treat to hear Morgana laughing and saying Nooooooo!!!

A bit buggy here and there as the dragon got caught on one of the dissolve gates midway on one attempt. The red grabbies that take you up and out of the way, I was able to hang on way too long and was behind the dragon so not sure if moving gas following the beast might be a good idea or not.

I think other than a few wonky moments, the only suggestion I would have to make it ultra fun and polished would be if you had ANY thermo left is moving the start gate. If you could move it straight up from where it is now and build an entry of sorts where the player could read the instructions with some examples of the game play in that room. Maybe just a static section of the running path showing the different grabbies and what they mean. The reason I suggest it is that it was hard if not impossible to read whatever instructions there were while running and jumping to avoid the dragon.

A returning player could just dive down the hole and end up where you start him in the first place. How it is now, the game starts almost before the 2nd player enters the room making it impossible to even attempt to grab the first red block thing. ..the other being it really hard to read and comprehend the instructions the way they are currently presented. I think it also detracts from your environment once a player has a better grasp of your concept.

Again.. amazing concept and only wrote a ton because I loved it.

4 stars and a heart. If some of the above could be addressed, I would love to return and give it +1 star in a heart beat.

No F4F needed for me... although if you have never played Space Escape, it is a pretty fun level.

These are really good points! I'll see what i can do for the next tweak of the level! (You're right, reading directions while running full tilt is pretty ridic...)

Honestly getting the rest of the level working made me lazy at the end, but a tutorial room would help things a lot and there's plenty of other stuff that could use some polish.

As for space escape, it's going on my list

Awesome level, the turnip dragon totally rocks. Was really fun, kept trying to get the high score but failed. It's a really nice, fun, colorful level keep up the great work.

I also had the dragon stuck at the dissolve gates is well. :star::star::star::star: Heart.
