Is posting threads about Defcon01's videos some kind of new trend? I suggest opening one central thread for all "uncommented helpful youtube links", instead of opening one for each different video, especially if the video link is the only thing the whole thread has to offer. | 2009-10-27 19:00:00 Author: Treas Posts: 223 |

lol true dat... | 2009-10-29 00:58:00 Author: iGotFancyPants Posts: 1355 |
Yes. I'm not sure the motivations here, but half of your posts have been defcon's videos. What are your motives here? I'm not being rude, I just would like to know. As treas suggested, a central thread with all of his videos might be better suited if you feel the need to link to his videos. | 2009-10-29 01:04:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
I help people | 2009-10-29 21:07:00 Author: manixbmw Posts: 25 |
No. Defcon01 helps people. You're just posting his work, without giving any kind of credit to the creator of those videos, and without adding any additional text. | 2009-10-29 21:19:00 Author: Treas Posts: 223 |
TBH, manixbmw has provided a link to a youtube video entitled "Little Big Planet How to Make Tracks By: Defcon01", on defcon01's youtube page. The video has a little subtitle throughout the entire duration of the video that says "by defcon01"... You would have to be a complete moron to think that manixbmw is trying to claim credit for this work. When you link to another source of info that has author's name clearly there for all to see, is it really necessary to add a fourth indication that it was made by defcon01? Hands up who's actually dumb enough to be confused about who made the video. He's just posting a video that he thinks people will find useful. What's with all the hate? As for a single thread for multiple vids, whatever... It's a fair point, but at the same time the topics of the videos are distinct and separate, so it does kinda make sense either way. | 2009-10-29 21:47:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Oh noez, rtm caught us doing evil things to nice users Gotta agree you on this point; this thread may prove useful to those who haven't already figured out how to create tracks and who don't know about Defcon's videos. It's just that I like to see elaborate threads, seeing that the OP has really put effort, time and thought into creating them. Threads containing tutorials written or filmed by the one who posted them here. It's just a personal attitude though. And while I see that only complete morons might miss the original creator of the videos, I think it would just be polite giving credit to him nonetheless. Not as an act of clarification, but just to honor his work. Anyways - the thread's here and it looks the way it looks, so nothing more to add. May those who seek help find their way to this thread or the linked video. | 2009-10-29 23:04:00 Author: Treas Posts: 223 |

woot 100th post but anyway ye i have noticed a lot of defcon1's levels been released at the moment but prehaps it is because they are used a lot and have lots of views but i like the idea of a youtube vids section here on the forums | 2009-11-02 11:13:00 Author: lbpholic Posts: 1304 |
On the trend of people posting others' videos without comment (this may not be true in your case as you do not speak English that well), I think this may stem from the amount of thanks that good tutorials are given (ie XP), I noticed that in a thread about "How can I earn XP?" Someone said "Find a tutorial and publish it", ie, find someone else's work and reap the benefits. | 2009-11-03 18:55:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
Im cool that manixbmw posted this since I tried to put watermarks to avoid ownership questions. I will be making a single thread for my video tutorials. Forums aren't my thing but I thought I would search my name on lbc and found this thread. | 2009-11-09 00:08:00 Author: Defcon01 Posts: 5 |
