Tardis - it really is bigger on the inside! (sorta...)

Archive: 15 posts

Hey everyone. Ive managed to make a tardis that defies the littlebigplanet time and sack continum or whatever - its bigger on the inside!

The levels called T.A.R.D.I.S tech demo (hmmm should this thread be in the levels showcase then

It works by using a two way teleporter that teleports you from the outside to the interior and back again. Ive made All sound effects to best they can sound in lbp. The tardis also features a switch that you can pull to start 'the whoosing' sound.

I havent managed to make it travel to a different place yet but im working on it. (my own logic that ive made for it is confusing me :S)

heres some snapshots (sorry about the quality, they were taken using the ingame camera:

Awesome! Kind of reminds me of Pokemon in a way. You know, when you walk into a Pokemon center and it 4x as big inside than out. Actually, most old-school RPG's were like that.

If you were to make whole city like that and have a small RPG type level, where you go around and talk to the residents to solve puzzles and stuff, that would be neat. If you do it right, however.

Nice work! Can you fit a bigger TARDIS inside a smaller one?

I made a Dalek enemy a while ago, if you want to use it.

Cool! I was thinking of a level idea, where you step into your pod, and it looks quite small, the pod shoots up into the sky but goes through some gas. You die and re-appear in the pod but it's overlooking the three planets, a panel opens up in the floor and there is a whole level about exploring the pod.2009-10-28 11:19:00

Whew. I was about to post that if that's your new Tardis model in the first pic, you should keep the old one around a bit longer.

When's the new season start anyway?

So I have a 10th and 11th doctors tardis. The first pic was of the 10th's in 2009, though I've improved the exterior muchly (allthough in lbp 2 the stickers become all distorted). And the picture posted by tetsujin is of the interior of the 11th's - and again a few of the stickers are distorted for some weird reason.

As for the new series...it should start sometime around easter-ish I beleive.
