Hey all!

Just published the new chapter in the series, and big big thanks to everyone here who playtested and also offered their suggestions - Jagrevi, Ccubbage, jwwphotos, Zwollie, comphermc, Matt82, o_neo_o, piggabling...

Hope you play and and get a laugh or two.....it's got a bit of challenge but more of a general romp really. Any feedback, good or otherwise is appreciated ...

I don't know if you got a crown for that series but you should have. Maybe they can't credit something named Star Wars though.2009-10-26 21:25:00

So just to be clear ... it's going to be time to get to work on the Ewoks sometime next month?

I do hope we're at least seeing this all the way to the "end", if not back around to the "beginning". This has truly been a magnificent series so far.

I am so annoyed that I need sleep. I WILL play this tomorrow and most likely 5star and heart considering the series so far. I will edit this post with my thoughts of the level. Can't wait!

EDIT: Played it and it is the best one yet. The lighting is used brilliantly all the way through.
A few things though:
Getting to the switch while finishing rancor was really difficult and took me longer to do than the brains. The tail kept flicking me into the roof and I couldn't reach the skull.
I miss jumped and fell into the sarlacc but didnt die, me and Fett had a party!
The other thing was that some of the jumps were very difficult, especially the one where there is the garb on a chain, which brings out a platform below. The jump from that platform to the swing was quite hard.

The 'force' was supremely well done and I cannot wait for the next.

ooook guess im first to give feedback but uh... i dont have any
all i can say is it was just magical, the beggining seemed so deep and real and idk the whole level was a perfect mixture of innovative obstacles and extrodinary scenery. I loved the system for killing jabba. This level really raises the bar, not enough stars or hearts to give to it.

to everyone reading this
PLAY IT!!!!!!!

NO DONT KEEP READING!!!!! PLAY IT!

WHY ARE YOU STILL READING THIS!?!?!

Great Love the series.
I'm a bit tired, so I'm gonna cut it short. I managed to break the level. There's a part where you have to descend a pit holding onto a piece of sponge, while several creeps try to get you. Similiar to the Mm bunker.

I kept grabbing the piece of sponge while entering the right tunnel at the bottom, where a few points await. The chain for the sponge was a bit too long, enabling it to enter the room. I did not manage to get it out again though, it was stuck in there. This rendered me unable to progress.

I recommend either tweaking the chain or turning the sponge into an emitted object which is newly spawned each time you die.

Other than that, great atmosphere and great sneaky gameplay so far. I'm too tired to retry it now, but I'll definitely play through it as soon as I find some spare time.

It was terrible, awful, and no fun...

...while I was waiting for it to load.

But once I was in the level it was amazing, awesome, and a blast. I'm glad you addressed most of the issues from testing, but I am still awesome at shortcuts! This was easily your hardest level to date, but it was probably the best at fitting its respective theme. For that, kudos. As usual, great lighting and dialogue. I, too, wonder how for you are going to take this series...

Anyways, :star::star::star::star::star:, and a hearty. Cheers.

Edit: nice screenshot of the donut (doughnut?). I don't remembering seeing that in game!!

Hm, so, five stars and a heart... not much to be said.

Only thing I can say is that you can jump off Jabba to get to his pet rat thing, and he'd scream "No Fair! No Fair!" then. Other then that, perfect level...

Took me a minute before I noticed the witticism.

Anyways, I did find it interesting that you ended up using the Rose material for the Rancor, and I have to say I love the conversation with the eyeball camera.

Yikes this was so darn good!

Loved the lighting and setwork combined with tricky platforming at the beginning. I could have just camped out there under the stars. Lovely! Nice tasty use of the 3d glitch in just the right places.

Probably should have as yikes the rest of the level is tricky!!

As I said testing this, the spotlight bits were great. The spinning plasma jumps very cool and then going back through it again... wow!! ..and awwwww man!!!! I also loved the jail with the robot getting the hot feet and of course Jabba and the Rancor. Was that thing grabbable before?? If so.. I am such an idiot!! You probably could have left that 2nd electrified bit in if so. Still tricky mind you, but not being tossed around like a sack.. oh wait... I am a sack. Anyway.. I did enjoy that part much better and less chaotic.

Whew.. I could go on and on...but suffice it to say it is stellar.. errr star warthy in the form of lots of them... However it only allowed me to select 5 of them and tossed in a heart!

Congrats Jules! Epic work and a worthy successor in the series. This might be my favorite errr... Etc yet!!

You sent me a key to beta test, but I've been busy so I hav'nt had the chance, sorry Jules

I just played it though.....

+ Loved the start, the landscape and lighting is sublime, really really looks well
+ The Jawas craic is brilliant, hilarious as always
+ It really is staggeringly beautiful.
+ I was thinking you need the eye robot at the door the palace, and BAM! there it was, great minds and that!
+ Love the donuts, I thought Jabba was more a pie eater myself, but it makes sense
+ Very subtle use of the layer glitch.
+ The Gamorrean (sp?) Guards rule
+ Hahaha, my freind is a coffee table.
+ I love the droid getting his feet burned.
+ I'm well imressed by the amount of little things you add into the level. Its a Star Wars geek heaven
+ Jabba looked great
+ The whole Rancor section was fabulous
+ Loved Salicious Crumb, he was total win!!
+ I'm still impressed by the lighting and visuals
+ Totally awesome

- I was confused at the cliff near the start, I did'nt see the point bubbles below so fell off a few times, once I missed the gas and ended up at the bottom of the level. I posted a pic.
- I was expecting a bit better looking Boba Fett
- Tatooine had two suns, you only have one above the sarlaac pit ;p

The level is filled with skill, humour and style. The series gets better and better. I'm actually jealous that you can knock out such greatness when I'm struggling with the basics of Mars 4. It was absolutely sublime

*, and rubbish tag. Hated it.

***** and hearted really

For me, it's getting to the point where I'd rather not give too much feedback on your levels because basically everything about your level is amazing. I played it this morning (on LBP's Birthday!!) so I'll just give you a few thoughts I had:

Pros:
- Details all over - the very small led lights for eyes on the skulls were a nice touch
- The Rancor was great! I was pleasantly surprised at the way he dies
- Jabba, and all the other characters looked amazing - their goofy look fits your series so well
- Yanking on Jabba's chain was genius - simple, but genius
- The intro left my mouth open - great lighting
- A lot of fun and challenging platforming
- I loved the sneaky use of the donut box - and by the way, I'm glad you went with donuts and not pizza, since pizza has been done before ("Pizza the Hut" from Space Balls)
- The humor is on par with your other levels
- honestly, I think this might be your best level

Cons:
- I was really hoping to see the lightsaber shoot out towards Luke. I know it would be difficult to use a lightsaber in LBP, but you could have done something funny - like, the lightsaber shoots out and Luke misses it or drops it down the hole which maybe kills the monster below. And since he dropped it, you could say something funny as the character realizes a blaster will suffice.
- I agree with GrantosUK - 2 suns would have been great (although it almost gave the appearance that 2 were really close together, depending on where you stand)
- I don't remember what music you used for Jabba's lair, but I'm sure you could find some quirky LBP music for that section (maybe you did, and I just forgot?)

Needless to say, even with a few minor cons this level easily deserved 5 stars and a heart from me. Great job! You do realize that you are now obligated to finish the series... right?

Also, if you ever get any unwanted or offensive pics uploaded to your level, just PM me or a Grief Relief Team (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=17390) member and we'll get on the case

@jww & Ccubbage - thanks guys, especially for testing such a long level, i really appreciate your time.
And j, doh! no wonder you had so much trouble with it, lol!

@Grantos - Really glad you enjoyed it Grant, i know you were anting the 'Fett! ; ) That intro is actually completely basic, its just plain sponge, some carefully placed big spotlights and a load of tiny LEDs layer glitched right back to the depths. I <3 the GLT!

I sorted out the gas hole and managed to squeeze in a second sun. I completely forgot about that. : ) I thought Bobba was quite swish as he was, but i know you're a total geek about these things, lol.

Lovely feedback, thanks. : )

@Powershifter - That second sun is in now thanks to you two. Re - the lightsabre thing, i just had to limit the amount of stuff happening there, its all out in the open so the player can go anywhere and triggering that, Jabba AND Bobba all without being able to control where the player was, erk, too much. By 'lair', do you mean his Chamber or the entire Palace? Thanks a lot for your fantastic comments, again I'm really pleased you guys are liking this one so much.

Yes, absolutely loved the level - great stuff, and not much more to say. Like rtm, I too got stuck at the Saarlac Pit - I didn't see a platform coming out of the vehicle to bounce me up to the Paintenator so I couldn't finish. But I guess you're looking into it, so I'll play again.

Good stuff.

Yeah that's understandable (about the lightsaber). There was definitely a lot going on, so I can see your point. I meant Jabba's Chamber, where you see him for the first time. I'll definitely be playing this one again

OK lets get this out of the way first. This is one of my favourite levels I have played so far. Not just from you, from the whole community.

It seems to have a fine blend of everything! Lighting, story development, style, gameplay, level layout, humour. You have ticked all the boxes.

Seriously, its been a long time since I was this impressed.

As for negatives, all I've got is some purely opinionated stuff.
Oh, before I forget, when I defeated jabba at the end the sponge on a winch that brings me up the the very last area got caught on something and broke leaving me stranded with the big fella forever. I think it was because I jumped and grabbed from an angle and swung it a bit to the side and got caught on the roof.

Some of the platforming section were super hard. Now, I would consider myself generally above average on this type of platforming but I started to get a little frustrated when I kept falling in the same hole about 20 times in a row. Right at the start is an example of this. Thise jumps are HARD but as I said this is a subjective comment so make of it what you will.

@ Morgana - When i was building the level you & MrsSpooky kept popping into my head because i know what fellow SW geeks you both are. I know you'll get every reference i chuck in, no matter how random!

@Wex - wow, high praise wex, thankyou. I'll take a look at the sponge winch. I'm getting 'Difficult' and 'Lousy' as some of the higher tags, so you're not the only one. I've gone in and tweaked a couple of times to try and get that balance right between 'difficult' (nope!)/ 'frustrating' (nope!)/ 'tricky' (bingo!).

As a fellow Star Wars fanatic, and big fan of your series, I am excited as a little puppy to be play this level.

And I should mention it's a GO******** good thing you put that second sun in. Otherwise, when I got to the sarlacc pit, I might have just stood there waiting for the second sun to rise, and if it never did, well then I likely would waste away in your level waiting, until the starving death claimed me fore'er.

WORD. I beta-tested this level a few days ago and all I can say is: just brilliant artwork. Humor: top, gameplay: top, visuals: top, story-telling: top, atmosphere: unbeatable! And like Wex said: yes, there are some areas that are very hard and very challenging. Thx to the unlimited checkpoints so everyone can try these areas without the fear of meeting the scoreboard to early :-)

And Jules, I'm really looking forward your update of this level. If you're able to add/change some of the things we talked about I would LOVE to play this again to see the result :-) but nevertheless: I defenitely will play this again very soon.

HAHAHA: "... my friend is a coffee table" - THAT WAS THE BEST LINE I'VE EVER READ ABOUT HAN IN THE CARBONITE :-))))))) GREAT STUFF....

Everything is present and correct now, jules - cheers! (And don't be embarrassed about glitches or whatever! In fact, I was so tempted to offer to beta test, but your levels are something that I look forward to playing too much!).

Anyway, humour is soooo difficult to get across in LBP, and even though we have Star Wars as a reference, your wit makes me laugh every time. Was I seeing things, or did you even manage to fit a joke in about Leia's horn-rimmed bra, too!!! Classic!

Those Gammorean's were pigs to get passed! Other bits were tricky too, but I was compelled to continue. The effect of the carbon being removed from Han was great, and the general atmosphere and 'feel' were nailed perfectly.

Very, very good quality stuff, you should be very proud. I enjoyed it immensely.

Cons? Nah, not worth mentioning really. Some of the more subtle humour may be lost on those trying to zip through the level, which is a shame for them, but it's their loss. You spend hours getting the detail and speech to such high standard, and the level deserves to be played at a leisurely pace.

But the biggest con of all is that I have thought so long and hard about how I would love to do a Star Wars level, but each time I do, I have to take a step back and remind myself that what ever I came up with, no matter how accurate or fun, I couldn't match your skill and humour, so I'm totally happy to leave the LBP Star Wars dynasty in your very capable and admirable hands.

Well done, matey

Short and sweet as I am a bit sick today:

The best Star Wars level out there, one of my all time favourites overall out there.
This is an absolutely great series, you keep hitting it with that right tone of humor.

I love this series and you as a creator.

I played it multiple times by now but this has to be said: How you could fit so much in there while still making it look so good is beyond me!!

It's challenging, but fun challenging!!

Very well done!! An obvious 5 stars and heart!!

O_O That-was-AMAZING!!!
Absolutely loved the lighting at the beginning, the silhouette kinda reminded me of the 'Raising the Ark' section in Indiana Jones :hint: :hint:  :wink
Some great, challenging jumps aswell, I liked the way bits of rubble crumbled off the edges. I was so determined to ace the level, and then I - died. Played it through with a friend and he managed to get by those lasers without using the donut box somehow. One thing was that I fell through the rancor 'trap door' before I finished reading the dialogue. It involved a lot of humour despite no reference to the max rebo twelve! They're the most well known band in the galaxy for wookies sake! But still, that was a hell of a lot to cram into one level, and you managed to fit in the key bits. On another picky note, episode V ended without any reference to the other bounty hunters: Bossk, Dengar, IG-88, Zuckuss or 4LOM and I was surprised to see Leia without seeing the thermal detonator clip first when she was posing as Boushh. But, you're only human

Great level as always. I'm sure everyone has prasied everything that could be praised and I'm in a bit of a rush so I'll just give you a few things I picked up on...

The part where you have to get in the box to get past the laser beam...well you don't need to get in the box you can just run through and manage not to get plasma'd sometimes I did this the first time before realising what the box was for and giving it a go properly

I think it's just after the box part where there's spinning fire things across 3 platforms and you have to time your jumps..the first fire thing...well, it had no fire...it was just a ball of green gas

Lastly, the creature that the baddie falls into near the end and gets eaten...well I fell in myself and didn't die...I could see some green gas above me while I was there but for some reason it didn't quite get me

Overall, amazing as usual, lots of variety, very good length!

Great work 5 stars etc etc.

Aw, thanks you guys, I'm really chuffed with your comments!! I've been making the SW levels for nearly a year now (!) and with only one more to go (I'm planning a two-parter to end on a bang ; ) ) it's so great to know it's been worth it.

@ Teebonesy - heh, now that WOULD be a new definition of pain and suffering ; )

@Robbie - Another Max Rebo fan?? You should PM Jagrevi & Powershifter, I think you guys will get on famously. ; )

@Jack , thanks for the heads up on those, I've tweaked the plasma in both instances to try and counter that. And there's bigger gas in the Pit now. Oops.

I'd pile on and say your Star Wars levels are as good as they are because all the characters seem to know they're really in LBP. But your visuals keep improving...the lighting, especially at the beginning, was especially choice this time round.

I never solved the box puzzle properly. I pushed the box through, died. Got in the box and walked through...got shot while in box. Pushed box through, did not follow, and jumped up the boxes and got round the lasers, even though it seemed like it wasn't what I was supposed to do. But it worked.

I swore in a couple other places, but these were clean kills...I had it coming every time. You're a more cruel platform-master than I, sir, but I applaud you anyway. 5*/H.

I tell you, i haven't had this much fun on LBP for ages!

Really great work again Julesy, everything was just...great! I have just finished playing it through 2 player, and, as usual with levels, 2 players makes it 2X difficult!

On what already looked like a hard level, me and steve_big_guns spent a good 20 minuites getting through it. But let me tell you, it was seriously some of the most fun i've had on LBP.

However, i did find one minor problem; At the scoreboard it took quite a while for it to register that we had completed the level, a few 'Try Again's' sorted it out but it would have been nice to have seen it end cleanly. This could have been because of multiplayer or just my general bad luck with your levels. XD

Also, the final 'Swing' can allow you to swing too far over the scoreboard and off into the distance, i'd reccomend putting up a wall or invisable wall but its your call.

Overall......best....level...ever.

I just got through playing this level a few minutes ago and it was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Simply astonishing. The environment is lush, the colors are vivid, and the level flowed smoothly from one part to the next. The character designs are wonderful, Han, Chewbacca, and Mr. Hut himself. Most notably, I found myself laughing out loud too many times to even focus on what I was doing. Hilarious dialogue! This level is simply a MUST PLAY.

Just finished playing this, and it really is everything everyone says it is. I love the variety and scope of the thing - you start off in the desert, sneaking toward the Palace the night before the big break-out.

Inside, you sneak around guards, you fight a rancor, perform a daring rescue and then it's off to the sarlaac pits, and the suns are blazing in the sky, and there really is a feeling of squinting your eyes after all that dark palace interior. You even get to go into Jabba's barge after all that, and oh my GOD, the strangling of Jabba is by far one of the best things I've seen in this game to date. Even if there was nothing else in this level, you have made my most excellent graces FOREVER for that piece of brilliance.

I don't think I've seen anyone use the game's TEXTURES as well as you have here. The visuals for the backgrounds seemed to be a lot of texture and lighting, and little sticker-work. It looked absolutely incredible. You've made the fullest possible usage of the MGS middle eastern wall material.

Definitely one of my favorites, you've crafted a masterpiece.

To be very very picky, I had a bit of trouble with the Rancor - I didn't realize you could grab his tail, so I got up on his head by climbing on his arm and did everything from up there, but I died by the electric bit on his back a TRILLION times trying to get over to his tail. After beating him, it took me MANY tries to get up to the hanging skulls on the right side of the room. I felt like I might have been missing an easier way to do it, because it was the only point in the whole level where I kind of lost the flow. I was still thrilled to be getting some rancor action, loved the quaking floor and look of the beast.

Oh, and one minor disappointment - no light-sabers!
Why-a-yooou!!

Awesome level, I used to be a big star wars fan as a small kid and its great to see the stories back in your littlebigplanet levels. Great use of lightning, material and ofcourse humor I did have one problem though, at the part where you have to jump on some platforms hanging with chains (picture 1). I saw there was a checkpoint and a place to go on in the right corner underneath the platforms, so I jumped to the first one and then jumped back down and I got to another checkpoint.. I don't think you wanted me to walk that way because you clearly had to cross the hanging platforms. I'm going to play it again today and see what i've skipped.
Anyway, great job and keep the star wars levels coming

When I got to the donut boxes I just pushed it to the left and I didn't get killed. That was the intention? Because there's no protection when you're just pushing it. I couldn't quite believe I survived. After I strangled Jabba I went right and jumped out to the crew again but I guess that was the wrong direction. I had to go back up and grab the sponge. A couple of times I was irritated because I have no patience. I think this level requires a bit more patience than the other in the series. Without a doubt 5 stars and a heart. I swear I left feedback earlier...0__0 Obviously not.

Anywhom, let me just say that this was an absolute treat to play, loved every bit of it (especially the challenging gameplay and your good sense of humour [LOL u iz PWNED!]). Really, this was almost perfect, and I say almost in italics because, on two occasions, I was able to break something 0__0

First it was the pit...Somehow I managed to fall in, break the tenticle and miss the gas at the bottom...Possibly just an odd occurrence that will never happen again. Sadly, Boba Fett just managed to miss the pit entirely and survive - Curse you Boba!

Oh, and the tug of war with Jabba, um, I kinda let go of the one end I was meant to grab and saw it fly spectacularly into Jabba's head, breaking the sponge and causing him to die almost instantly. Easy win! This was on the second playthrough.

Even so, these are only minor things, and nothing to fret about really. I still think the level's awesome and makes a great addition to a great series - Keep it up and MAKE THE NEXT ONE - NAAAAOWZ!!!

Yes, I too have been remiss in coming back after I played to leave you some well deserved kudos. But alas, what more can be said than has not already been gushed by your other adoring fans? I agree with every word. Simply extraordinary, really. Your wit, style, and artistic talent is on full display here. I have to say, this is my favorite series on LBP (sorry Grant and Morgana), and this one is the best yet. Please don't stop any time soon.

Thank you for making such fantastic fun for us to enjoy!

Thanks for all your great comments guys! : )

I've tried to fix all the things you've mentioned as best I can, its been a constant tweak with this one....

@coyote - That definitely is not supposed to happen  , so I've made the emitted box just a tad bigger. And I've no idea how you jumped over the donut boxes, i can't work that one out at all!

@A Morton - : ) : ) I've tweaked the scoreboard and the swing over to it.

@Shenoa77 - Heh, i saw you & Jaeyden's uploaded pics, if it made you laugh I'm happy, the jokes are harder to get right than the platforming usually. ; /

@Teebonesy - You're not the only one who had trouble with the Rancoor,so I've tweaked him to make it easier, the last thing i want is the flow of the level coming to an abrubt halt. And the strangulation scene still cracks me up whenever I have to test the level. It just never gets old! ; )

@Kn0cked-0ut - well spotted! tweaked.

@Basketsnake - sorry you had a few issues there! glad you didn't mind them too much.

@KornDawg - You really trashed the place! (laugh) I tested and tested that chain piece! I've already tweaked the gas in the Pit so dunno what happened there. You vandal. ; )

The levels just hit Page 1, so I'll soon find out how the younger ones cope with the platforming. I already put a disclaimer on there but it might be about to get massacred....

lol, there's a yoda advertisement at the bottom...

I think this is your best one yet. Last time on your dagobah one I listed all the awesomeness, but you should know by now the awesomeness of your level is implied. I'll leave it at this.

ITS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

My only feedback is I think its easy when you know how to do it, but most of the time I had no clue what to do, and had to invite my friend, who played it earlier. How are players supposed to know to grab the torch for instance?

A drastic approach you could take would be to put in a hint system so that after two minutes, if a sensor senses you in the same area, maybe it activates a magic mouth that says, "Oh I know, grab the torch!"

Or it could be easier and less direct if at the first torch activated progress a magic mouth could be viewing the torch saying "Hmmmm", or something.

Also, that first cliff was probably the hardest obstcle for me of the level lol. Please add more point bubbles or switch the camera zone so its pointing into the cliff, not away from it...

Nonetheless, 5/5 and a heart :hero::arg:

Thats a fair point. (In that instance, the torch has a 'sliding area' around it as a visual clue, and its one of the few things you can interact with in that area. With the cliff, the clue are the trail of bubbles, but i've just gone in and moved them a tad to make them more obvious...

From a creation PoV, i 'spose it's just one more way at your disposal of trying to engage and challenge the player. And when I'm playing other levels, i'm personally not keen on ones that do most of the work for you, I always prefer being made to look around and work things out myself, so its natural i veer that way when creating....

Grats on the spotlight, julesyjules!

FWIW, the "figuring out" portion is where I did a lot of my swearing, too. But your design motif definitely works. With the exception of the box/lasers, which just didn't work right for me, every other challenge in your level series triggers that rare sense of anger at one's self: "Frickin' creator...what does he WANT?!...oh. He's showing me what he wants, just there. OBVIOUSLY."

The numbers say you're doing it right. I wouldn't change much.

Just to say, I thought both were excellent clues. Effectively you get to a scenario where you can go no further, but you wre clearly supposed to get there, so you stop and look around, thinking "what if?". Same thing with the switch to remove the carbonite from Hans.

There is enough there to give you an idea of what to try, without it being purely trial and error and personally I found it quite balanced and rewarding. I'm sure I'm not the only one playing this game who finds it refreshing to not have the solution to every problem handed to me as I reach it....

Woo! I just played it again for, like, the eleventh time and actually managed to 'break' it (I think)
The first thing that happened was I found that I was able to slip down the edge of the cliff to the gap at the bottom without having to cross the platforms with spinny plasma balls. That helped in acing the level as I died most on that bit

I restarted the level to play it like a man and tackle all the obstackles, when I crossed the platforms with spinny plasma balls for the first time, I pulled the switch and heard a CRUNCH. When I got to the last platform before jumping through the gap I noticed it only had one plasma ball spinning round it where previously it had two.

The next thing that happened was in the droid torture chamber, where the jawa says "GROUP HUG!", Instead of pulling himto the gap in the wall, I pushed him towards the other wall and corner jumped onto the above platform therefore skipping all of the traps in that direction.

The next bit wasn't a helpful trick really but if you jump into the gap between Boba and Salicious Crumb, you can climb up onto Jabba and miss falling through the pit, if only there were some secret points up here It was funny because Jabba was all " let me introduce you to snuggles!" and I was all " mmmmkay... where is he?" Also when I was using the bouncy thing a bit earlier, it pushed out and I saw Leia nudge a bit, I was desperately trying to move her into the Rancor Pit but I couldn't...

Did you remove the electric from the Rancors tail?

Finally, when Boba's shooting bombs at you, you can shoot the bomb before it reaches you and if it's close enough, Boba's caught in the blast and he shakes a bit.

I'll post some pics if you need me to elaborate
(Also, you need to change your sig! Jabba's not in progress any more, mate!)

Finally played this level!!! AGHAIEHAIOWJFLKAJEFKLAHesjkldjfase;kfhaoiwehsaiuv; shefnr aivoce!!!!!!!!!

Dude, really, you do everything so perfectly. Funny dialogue, INCREDIBLE atmosphere - especially at the beginning - perfect sound effects, great gameplay, and super-awesome-Star Wars-ness!!!!

I didn't have any trouble figuring anything out, and the difficulty was tough but not overly hard. Not to mention I was a little out of practice cause I haven't had much time to play lately.
The Jabba boss was brilliant, and the all the different 'movie scenes' like Han unfreezing and the Sarlac pit were executed amazingly.

I don't know how anyone could do a better job of making a Star Wars LBP experience. Seriously.

I can't wait until the next one! 5 stars and a heart of course

I'm been thinking about trying to give this level a "competitive" run. (Not that I didn't actually try that the first time, of course)

Out of curiosity - anyone know the top 1-player score?

Yeah, I think what happened is they pulled on the chain to choke Jabba and let it go. If the sponge recoils and breaks, it spits out all the bubbles, resulting in a huge combo. It happened once for me in testing, so they may have gotten lucky.2009-11-01 19:12:00

I played the whole series this weekend (finally got some use out of my rebel pilot costume), and they keep getting better and better. Especially the last three were visual masterpieces!

I think it's just after the box part where there's spinning fire things across 3 platforms and you have to time your jumps..the first fire thing...well, it had no fire...it was just a ball of green gas

I got this, too, so if you fixed it, not fixed enough. That's a nasty area, by the way, took me some time to get past the last platform. I'm glad there are unlimited check points (unlike at the start of the Sand People territory in A New Hope, we made those jumps on the last life).

Btw, thanks for playing hobbitly's Lethal Lounge. It's not like I wouldn't have played your levels otherwise, but your name conveniently clickable did help make it sooner.

Um... I replayed it and the rancor squished me, teleporting me to the left side of the wall that smashes him ...... I think I saw some others complain about that too. Could you maybe use a winch to pull the piston to the right side before the rancor gets squished? It's a terrible game breaker 2009-11-02 00:52:00

The first thing that happened was I found that I was able to slip down the edge of the cliff to the gap at the bottom without having to cross the platforms with spinny plasma balls - Hmph, i thought I'd sorted that, i tweaked and couldn't get down there for the life of me

...when I crossed the platforms with spinny plasma balls for the first time, I pulled the switch and heard a CRUNCH. When I got to the last platform before jumping through the gap I noticed it only had one plasma ball spinning round it where previously it had two. -I don't know why that happened, I've re-tested everytime i tweak something and thats never happened for me. I'll have to put it down to gremlins i think

...I pushed him towards the other wall and corner jumped onto the above platform therefore skipping all of the traps in that direction... Again, i have no idea how some people are doing this. Comphermc noticed this in playtesting so i tweaked it till i was positive it couldn't be done, you're a better jumper than me, thats for sure!

Also when I was using the bouncy thing a bit earlier, it pushed out and I saw Leia nudge a bit, I was desperately trying to move her into the Rancor Pit but I couldn't...Well according to blue matter physics it should be impossible to move her so at least THATS almost working, heh heh

Did you remove the electric from the Rancors tail?....Yep, some players were finding it too frustrating so i took it out and made it easier rather than have the level come to a standstill

Finally, when Boba's shooting bombs at you, you can shoot the bomb before it reaches you and if it's close enough, Boba's caught in the blast and he shakes a bit. Yes, he does.

Um... I replayed it and the rancor squished me, teleporting me to the left side of the wall that smashes him ...... I think I saw some others complain about that too. Could you maybe use a winch to pull the piston to the right side before the rancor gets squished? It's a terrible game breaker I thought it was impossible to get squished at that point, (unless you're in multiplayer). Almost as soon as you pull the lever, the wall comes down and the dead Rancoor appears, there's barely time to get anywhere near him. I've put in an additional checkpoint in this area now to make sure the dodgy respawn doesn't happen

Thanks for posting all these guys, some of them I'm clueless about how they're happening , but have tried as best I can to prevent them.

@highlightnotes & MarvellousHat - Glad you enjoyed it guys, thanks!

@Jagrevi,rtm & comphermc - yeh, the hi-score must be that bug.
It seems that only two players got it, so on the one hand I'm kinda glad that potential bug barely registered for anybody, but on the other it kind of defeats any purpose of going for a hi-score....

I really enjoyed this it had an epic sense of scale and once again, the humour hit all the right buttons. It's an incredible commitement to maintain the detail and quality of this series, so thanks at least JJ, looking forward to seeing how the rest of ROTJ pans out2009-11-16 13:50:00
