LBP PSP costumes revealed

Archive: 24 posts

I haven't seen this show up anywhere else on LBPC, so I'll go ahead and post it.

Per the Sony PlayStation Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/SonyPlayStation), there's a new post in the news section of the LittleBigWorkshop site (http://www.littlebigworkshop.com/en-us/):

What's new in LittleBigPlanet (PSP) - Costumes (http://news.littlebigworkshop.com/en-us/post/2009/10/What%27s-new-in-LittleBigPlanet-(PSP)---Costumes.aspx)

The post details a few Sackperson fashion options, including a moon buggy and a tank:

Ya, I'm loving that moon buggy. The scimitar looks cool too - I wonder what it goes to. Maybe some sort of Aladdin-ish type clothes?2009-10-23 04:43:00

Those were awesome. I like the tank and moon buggy ones. But the spacesuit is not as awesome as the PS3 one. Also the third one is just plain ugly.2009-10-23 21:18:00

Also the third one is just plain ugly.I agree that the space suit isn't quite as good as the PS3 one. Then again, that's still my favorite costume ever so it probably isn't a fair comparison. Personally, I'm glad to see more spacey stuff show up. I've always wanted to do a moon landing level, and that would fit right in.

As for the 3rd costume, ya it's pretty hideous. Based on reading the article, however, I think it was done that way on purpose to show off the level of customization possible. As far as I can tell, there will be just as many types of garments and accessories as the PS3 version. The real question is, can you use stickers and decorations on your Sackperson the same way?

Well, I guess the spacesuit gets a few extra points for the moon buggy. I have to wonder what type of hair is in the third picture. I also like how they included a real sword instead of a wooden one in this version, but I would still like to see a wooden one.

As for stickering, I do not know if they will allow that. I played a very early demo, and that did not even allow stickers to be placed on sides of objects. Let us hope they have changed that.

Some good news: look at post #11 (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/10/littlebigplanet-sack-it-to-me-wholelotta-community-gems-edition/). There is something in store for downloaders, but we do not know what yet.

Old thread alert!

Hey, does anybody know how to get the moon buggy costume? I have the game 100% collected, all levels aced, and all preorder costumes... but no buggy! Might be add-on content we haven't seen yet.

Hahaha, well I actually started playing the UMD on Saturday night... so I had a head start on the story mode. Throw in a couple nights' sleep and a party on Sunday, and I'd say I got everything done in 20-ish hours of playing.

I'm amazed that I was able to find all the collectibles without looking at any guides, which is what I normally would do.

I only have all prizes, but I am halfway finished with acing the levels. I have not seen the moon buggy costume either. For that matter, I have not even seen the astronaut costume.2009-11-27 00:24:00

I got it on tuesday. I've finished the story mode but not got 100% on every level yet or Aced them all. I don't think I ever will Ace them all either because they're much harder than the PS3 levels, especially the Hollywood levels.

They are a nightmare. I'll never Ace the King Kong fight. That is just evil.

As for the moon buggy I don't think that's in the game because there are no space levels as such and all the objects and stickers you get seem to be somewhere in the level you get them from.

The pre-order items are there, those costumes aren't anything new except I haven't found anything such as a moon buggy or astronaut outfit and I think that may be a sneak peak item for DLC, the tank is with Radec costume and there is a buggy for the motorstorm but not a moon buggy as said before...2009-11-27 06:00:00

They are a nightmare. I'll never Ace the King Kong fight. That is just evil. All of the Tinsel Town levels were very hard to ace, but nothing compares to The Bunker or Boom Town. It took me literally days to ace both of those, whereas the PSP levels only took a couple hours at worst.

As for the King Kong / Ron fight, yes it was extremely frustrating for me but I finally figured it out. The initial round of fist-pounding is the hardest by far, so if you can get past that you've aced the level. He begins pounding with a different fist depending on where you are at the time he starts, but once he begins he always alternates fists. Knowing that really helps the dodging process. I suggest that even if you die trying to get to Ron, fight him anyway just so you get some practice. The Sewn Identity took me a lot longer to ace than the Ron fight.
