I've always been a fan of Tekken. I don't think I'll be buying this right off the bat, but maybe when it gets down to $30. I'm a huge Hwoarang fan. Do you know if he is returning to the series?2009-10-23 04:01:00

I've been waiting for Tekken 6 for a long time, and the more I see of this one, the less excited I get. The destructible walls and floors make me think of Mortal Kombat too much. And I think I seen weapons in a commercial, I hope not. I have to check the link. I think I'm gonna wait until its 30 dollars also. I think I'm gonna be out of practice by then.2009-10-23 08:11:00

It's definitely a big blip on my radar right now. Though I haven't played a Tekken game since Tekken 2, but boy did I play the stuffings out of that game! Yoshimitsu FTW.

The "Scenario Campaign" mode looked interesting enough. And there's even a giant robot!		2009-10-23 11:36:00

TLDR: If you like Tekken, number 6 it's a great game, go get it!

I got a limited edition title at the launch yesterday (which I had pre-ordered). It contained the game in the international formating cover, a 100 page art book which is quite detailed and interesting - it shows some of the development of the alternative costumes and the evolution of the character models over the series amongst other things. There was an extremely large like 1m x 75cm or so poster of Lars, one of the new characters for the console versions, and a very comfotable high quality Tekken 6 hoody (as in a jumper/sweater with a hood attached).

I haven't had a chance to play the game for hours on end yet but from what I tried it played very well. They made a lot of subtle references in the manuals about ways they are stopping people cheating in terms of ranking. You have to go online and patch the game before you can play the online mode. I'm guessing that was to stop people from playing online before the game properly released. They also prevent you from going higher than 1 kyu offline, if you want to get into the dans or higher you have to play online matches.

What I saw was a lot of fun, I tried the arcade mode with Lee (my old main) and Lars the new character. I'm not the best Tekken player in the world (I think I got up to 3kyu in Tekken 5 against some very hard competition) but so far the game sure is showing a lot of promise. I look forward to trying the campaign mode and also eventually getting online when I start to remember my combos properly.

In short, if you like Tekken, it's a great game, go get it! 		2009-11-06 10:47:00
