I would have to say the title says it all...

Just another survival challenge but this one uses my moon physics trick. I will update based on feedback also Ive discovered ways to incorporate the low gravity blocks and will be adding this and a couple features soon. I hope you enjoy.

just to be sure, are the moon physics supposed to be laggy? I often was burned by a meteor because i had no idea where it would show up. I gave it a 3 star, cause i like how it looks and the concept of it.2009-10-22 04:43:00

yeah its the lag basicly that makes you move in slow mo... Im gonna add some low gravity soon and I also figured out a way to reduce thermo with this trick but it will take some time to get it right. Thanks for playin 2009-10-22 13:31:00

Please remove the lag. This doesn't feel like moon physics. It's just plain lag. It doesn't add to the level in any way. I like the looks of it. The gameplay is too unpredictable and offers little alternation. This results in a low replay value, since skill does not have any real effect on your average score. It's just plain "run around and hope you don't get hit by a speed-of-light-meteor".

My ideas:


Instead of just letting meteors drop down, add sort of a red light to announce the downfall of a meteor. The time between light and meteor might decrease over time.
Reduce the challenge to 1 layer. Seriously, the 3 layers don't add anything to the challenge. you can use the back layers for additional decoration, for example.
Let parts of the playing area transform over time. You could let certain areas collapse or change height.
Add different meteors to add replay value. How about "point meteors" which explode, leaving 10 point bubbles behind or "alien meteors" which spawn little alien creatures on impact? Stuff like that.
Get rid of that lag. Seriously. Add the low-gravity glitch if you manage to balance it out on that uneven surface or add something else, but lag slows the whole experience down.

this does indeed look pretty good well done this is similar to my level " The Hardest Survival Challenge Ever" but yours by the looks of it looks much better lol well doen will play this soon as i get on lbp!2009-10-22 20:13:00

Trea I totally feel ya on pretty much all of your ideas and are very close to my own. As far as the lag goes... well that's all part of the level since its supposed to be in space... but instead of just being slow I wll be adding some low grav blocks to it and yes I will alo be reducing it to one or two layers depending on how that effects the level but anyway to everyone here u should know that thepoint bubbls are the only thing not using a randomizor... That was on purpose btw... cuz it was too easy the other way. If u play it a couple times u will see that if u just keep moving from one end to the other u will survive longer. Also the mteors are always coming from the upper right. Just remember this is a beta version that I will continue to update. Keep the input coming guys its helpful stuff. 2009-10-22 22:52:00
