Point Bubble Question

Archive: 3 posts

Hey guys, I was going to try and make a survival challenge, but I don't know how to do one certain thing. How do you nake the prize bubbles appear after a certain time? I think it has something to do with the car thing and magnetic switches, but I don't quite know how to make a bubble appear from a switch. Any help?2009-10-18 23:14:00

You use an emitter and hook it up to a one-shot switch. Each time it is triggered, it will emit a bubble, as long as it hasn't reached any limits set by the emitter.2009-10-18 23:24:00

Make a wheel with a motor bolt attached to some dark matter, behind the scenes somewhere. Make the wheel out of dissolve.

Put a key on the rim of the wheel and a matching key switch on the dark matter so that it spins and the key triggers the switch once per revolution.

Set the switch to one shot and wire it to an emitter (set to emit point bubbles a infinite lifespan). When the player enters the level, make a Permanent switch (search for it) turn on the wheel. When the player dies, put up a sensor switch near where they respawn and wire it to the dissolve wheel.

When the player dies, the sensor switch will activate and the wheel, along with the key, will be dissolved away, no longer emitting bubbles.

-------

As an added bonus, you can use the cart on a track method to make the wheel spin faster and faster - giving more points to the players who last longer. To do this, look into using speed switches.
