What, just what? Is the word some on one of Sam's websites or soomething?2009-10-17 23:46:00

Alright, I'm trying to look further into the hint:

"Well done for making it this far. Tricky puzzles give great rewards.

The hardest example would obviously result, detrimentally, in Sam Lloyd's outstandingly logical/lateral, invigorating, powerfully obscure puzzles.

There is but one step left. Can you solve it?"

What is meant by "The hardest example would obviously result, detrimentally..."? I'm not asking you Dawes, but everyone else.

Just one clue left, 750xp could be yours! Just read the last step in the OP, you don't need to read the rest!

Incinerator, no, not that. compher, **** you're close!

"causing detriment; damaging; harmfully"

Sometimes the final endings can be found in the beginnings.

Frinkle, as I understand it, dentrimentally also means at it's core - "basically", in other words.

If you look at the whole phrase

The hardest example would obviously result, detrimentally, in Sam Lloyd's outstandingly logical/lateral, invigorating, powerfully obscure puzzles.

It's "The word is lollipop"

Points are heading through the system now.

Compher receives 350 points for multiple contributions
Vortex receives 100 points for finding my avatar
BSPRAGUE receives 100 points for finding the hidden message
Syroc receives 100 points for finding the OTHER hidden message
LittleBigSackBoy receives 100 points for being first to post, and for keeping going at the guessing, just in case everyone else couldn't get it.

And of course Sage gets 750 points for finding the final answer.

Now who wants a lollipop!

I wonder if I beat Disguise yourself as another member?

Also, incinerator, I thanked your post, should give you some XP in thanks for your efforts.

EDIT: With all the posts I made and the Thanks! you gave, I end up with a nett loss of c. 350xp from this contest!

Here's an idea - if you guys contribute say 100xp each, we could have a 1000xp pot if we're lucky, I'd chip in say 250, all of which would probably end up balanced out with the number of posts you guys make, and I'd create another of these puzzles! I'd have to put more thought into it, though.
