An Introduction to Experience

| We have a system here at LBPCentral called vbExperience. I've written up this guide to help answer any questions you may have. Feel free to reply with your question if I've neglected to answer it. What exactly is LittleBigExperience? LittleBigExperience is a system that ranks users based on their usefulness, and awards Experience Points(xp) according to how useful they are. How does LittleBigExperience work? LittleBigExperience keeps track of everything you do on this forum: posts, threads, views, ratings, etc. It then takes that information and calculates how useful a member you are. In layman's terms, the better member you are, the higher your rank is. Why is rank important? Rank is important because it dictates the xp you are awarded. The higher your rank, the more xp you have. Remember, the system is automated, so all you have to do is interact normally and it will decide how much you should be awarded. How can I see how I am ranked? Is there a way to view others' ranks? Here's how to view your rank: Click "Experience" in the navigation bar(about the middle of the navbar). Click "Search Members" and search for your username. To view someone else's rank, follow the same steps listed above but type in their username. If you just want to browse the different ranks, follow the first step and use the available tools to sift through the users. What does xp do for me? You can use your xp to purchase lots of items in the Shop, like profile stickers and profile upgrades. To access the Shop, click "Shop" in the navbar.Do I retain my rank if I buy something from the shop? Nope. You've gotta decide if your rank is worth more to you than the item you're buying. Can I buy something and give it away to someone else? Absolutely. Just head to Items I Own (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/xperience.php?go=shop&do=own) (Shop > Items I Own) and click "Give away" under the item you want to give. It will ask you for the username of the member you want to give it to; just fill it out and click "submit"! Oops! I bought something and I realized I don't want it. Is there any way to get a refund for it? Yep! Just head to Items I Own (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/xperience.php?go=shop&do=own) and click "Sell for 75%". You'll receive 75% of the xp you paid. How much is [insert activity here] worth in xp? We have to keep that information a secret, otherwise users might be able to game the system. | i just noticed the shop thing and i looked myself up....lol i'm a deadbeat, useless member!!! | Quick question, I'm guessing the answer is no, but... do you get xp for playing arcade games or participating in arcade game tournaments here? I was just playing the Asteroids and Snake, great fun. Then I noticed the cool tournaments people set up. Just thought it would be nice if there was a small reward for coming first in these tournaments. When the forum had it's major update a while ago experienced sort of stopped, you can't get to the store and things like that. Something along those lines anyway. It has been mentioned that the original developer of vbExperience is working on a new version. Once that is complete, that will be installed here and things will hopefully all be back to normal. | Ok, so apparently, the guy who made this has now installed vb 4.0, and started work on this. He expects the first beta in two to three weeks. ... so CC. Are we going to wait for it's "real" release, or we getting beta as soon as it comes? The only problem is that I can't find the "experience" in the "nav bar". that's because it isn't here right now We upgraded to 4.0 months and months ago (January), and our old exp wasn't compatible. We've been waiting for the guy to port it to 4.0, which he did a few weeks ago- but the shop wasn't added. Right now, we're waiting for another guy to do his shop mod which will be the shop for us, since CC doesn't want exp without the shop. | Any news..? Posted somewhere else, but ya. vb exp 4.0 has gone gold. That means there are no huge bugs in the current release, so CC can't hold it off on us because it might be buggy now However, now we're waiting for Point Market system- which will be the new shop- to update to 3.0 so it is compatible with vb exp. | This cleared a lot up for me. Thanks for all the help Bear in mind that you have bumbed/found a 4 year old piece of information which may have decreased in accuracy since it was written.
