interactive movie level

Hello my friends!

I have started working on my halloween contest level but need some advice before I continue from where I stopped last time.

The situation is like this:

in certain points of the level the player can make a choice between 3 possible answers in a dialogue.

each correct answer earns more point bubbles at the end, each wrong answer less (well duh :-) )

now is my question, what is the best way to present these options to the player?

option 1 : use stickers (1 sticker for a polite reply, 1 for an agressive reply ...) that the player can use on several occasions.

option 2 : use buttons to be pushed for corresponding answers

option 3: other suggestions?

I think it would be cool if sackboy wasn't truly part of the movie, though he chose offscreen what he thinks the person should do.2009-10-15 06:28:00

Yeah. Maybe have Sackboy not shown and have a kind of "Grab to say '...........' or don't to say '...........' "
Then just have a magnetic key attatched to a piston going slowly so that when it activates the switch it chooses the 'non-grab' reply.

Or alternitavely;
Have a little window thing in the screen showing Sackboy.
Then Have a green piece of sponge, and a red one. Then do a thing saying. "Grab green for a positive reply, grab red for negative" etc etc

I normally use grab switches as well, because sometimes you'll have issues with layer-switching for buttons, and stickers disrupt play.2009-10-15 20:28:00

Yeah Sprague, that's why I said grabbing. As said above, there can be lots of problems with the layer switching.
An awesome soundng level like this could be ruined....

well there is quite a lot you coud do for this you could use a grab switch of a sensor switch where you jump to diferent platforms to decide and so on so just use your imaginaton on what you could do2009-10-22 20:01:00
