My LBP Story

Archive: 30 posts

i came across this charming title looking at a list of best of e3 titles. it caught my eye immediately due to the AMAZING level of the graphics, yet still maintaining a cartoonish feel. i predicted it would be very successful, as the most successful games have mostly been toys, rather than linear storylines (Myst, The Sims, etc...), and LittleBigPlanet seems to follow that creative sandbox mold. i immediately called the first copy of this game in my group of friends, so that none of them could get one before me, luckily none of them knew what it was at that point .

well, i can't wait for the game to come out, and i'm glad i found people to be hyped with!

you can already pre-order where you lived, lucky. I'm going to be waiting in line, lucky for me 3/4 of the people in my area are 360 fans (heck my local game shop harass me for buying ps3 games...)

but yea, LittleBigPlanet = win, gamers today killed enough Nazi, terrorists, random people, aliens, elves, mutants, goblins, etc...

more to my story has unfolded.

i went to a cabin by a lake with my friend this weekend and i mentioned LBP. my friend says "oh yeah, that's the game jacob and i hella want". and i reminded him, to his dismay, that i had called the first copy within our group of friends. he attempted to show off his inferior knowledge of the game as well as his late discovery of it. i happily boasted that i discovered the week it had been released and had seen all the LBP media already released as well as my status as a poster on the forums. he, unfortunately, remarked that he would make no effort to wait until i had purchased the game to get his copy. i vomited repeatedly several hours later, it is unknown whether this was due to food poisoning, or the possibility that my friend my actually obtain a copy before i do.

well you know, its not that impossible to get a game before its release date, most of them stay locked up in the back of the store til release day,

I guess he is planning on going Metal Gear on the store to get his copy before yours

Wow, you seem pretty eccentric Shane. Are these threads months old? I should start to explore the rest of the forums..

Nice to meet you!

Reshin: Your area sounds hilarious.. And I agree with your second post but I haven't killed enough Elves or Mutants, unfortunately. :o

And yeah, I got Quake wars Yesterday when it was released this morning
Thank you GAME pre-orders! Stack up the alien kill-count

Well.. hopefully there will be an activity boom once the game is released?

Either that or an activity depression because everybody will be too hooked on playing the game.

Hmmmm... Did I ever mention if these forums get big enough and we need a mod, that the mod will most likely automatically get a copy of LBP? It'll have to get quite big for that, but keep your heads up. I'm on the lookout.

Oh, and that's on top of someone else getting a copy because of the draw.

Actually I'm part of a gang called LittleBigShoplifters... We put sacks over our heads and steal games from EB Games. LOL. Kidding (I really hope that hasn't happened or else police will come to the door. LOL)2008-06-01 19:52:00

Loool LittleBigShoplifters.. thats some humor, Bravo. What are the requirements to join this gang? A sack for your head and a sack for the games?

But seriously, when I was four, a group of Mods suck into my house and killed my dog, than ate all my cookies.

They made it look like my dog ate all the cookies and died from chocolate overdose :O

Never trust 'em!
