:P instead of :p?

It's a bit annoying how I have to type a lowercase p in instead of doing an uppercase one. Nothing major, but I actually just recently discovered that it only works with a lower case p... | 2009-10-12 04:03:00 Author: Sunrise_Moon Posts: 469 |
I normally use the lowercase form anyway, so it's not too annoying for me | 2009-10-12 04:10:00 Author: L0l_L0l- Posts: 139 |
why not keep it in a control V | 2009-10-12 07:21:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
How about it works for both? I alwas use because its easyer to type when holding shift and not taking it off. | 2009-10-12 09:51:00 Author: Adam9001 Posts: 744 |
I agree. I'm used to typing and I still get it wrong sometimes when quickposting. Would be nice if both worked, but it's not the end of the world. | 2009-10-12 13:23:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
Not to be mean, but this is really minor and petty. I strongly doubt there's a post on this forum where the difference between and actually caused problems, but I would love to be proved wrong. | 2009-10-12 14:59:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
Yes, but it's annoying when you want the smiley to appear and it doesn't... Plus actually looks like a face whereas : p just looks weird (IMO) | 2009-10-12 15:27:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
I dunno, I'm used to typing now :S It would take a while to adjust to | 2009-10-12 16:33:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
It's either one or the other, and there's no solid reason to change it other than personal preference. Clicking the smiley in the box isn't that hard, is it? | 2009-10-12 19:26:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
Clicking the smiley in the box isn't that hard, is it? Nope - that's what I do :kz: | 2009-10-12 19:47:00 Author: Powershifter Posts: 668 |

It took me a long time to figure out that was lowercase lol. Is it possible you could make it so we can change it for us in the CP? | 2009-10-12 22:46:00 Author: Sunrise_Moon Posts: 469 |

Although , who's to say which personal preference is in the majority? A simple poll could resolve this. | 2009-10-13 00:47:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |
Like it even vaguely matters... . | 2009-10-13 01:00:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Although , who's to say which personal preference is in the majority? A simple poll could resolve this. The situation is so minor that having a poll about it would be absolutely redundant. | 2009-10-13 01:02:00 Author: ChristmasJew Posts: 431 |
Like it even vaguely matters... . The situation is so minor that having a poll about it would be absolutely redundant. Exactly. Let's not blow this out of proportion. The fact that has been established here is that you'll just have to get used to letting go of the shift key before pressing "p". Saying it aloud just makes it seem even more trivial. | 2009-10-13 01:25:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
at first it may seem annoying but i got used to it, is clicking the edit button so hard? Lock? | 2009-10-13 07:21:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
Yeah, there's no point to this thread anymore. CC already gave you his answer. Sorry man, you'll just have to get used to it like the rest of us. Locked. | 2009-10-13 07:51:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
