Video Editing

Archive: 17 posts

I'm going to get myself a better camera soon (one that actually works with my computer... >_>), and I want a good video editing program.

I want one that isn't way out there in price, but is also advanced enough to give me the opportunity for quality.

What I know is very limited to the names of some (Sony Vegas) brands, but I want to know what you lot would recommend.

Personal experiences make choices easier. >_<

Whoever says Windows Movie Maker will be waffled. >_>

Hardly any of my **** videos are compatible with WMM.

WMM isn't terrible for minor edits. I wouldn't recommend Vegas, didn't really like it. Premier's supposed to be good and has After Effects, but is pretty expensive and difficult to get around. If you don't know what you're doing, you could get lost. Outside of that...I believe Corel has a decent one? I've never really liked Corel's software, though...2008-09-20 21:06:00

I like WMM, and I've seen some pretty awesome stuff done with Vegas, like this KH AMV to Through the Fire and the Flames, YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.(WARNING: SEIZURE-INDUCING).
It might help if we knew what you were doing.

I use both WMM and Ulead Video Studio 11 to both edit 1 video to cover each of their cons with the other's pro!2008-09-20 22:17:00

Camtasia Video Studio.

Now that's something interesting...
I've never even heard of that before, but it seems perfect for me... @_@

Now I'll have to find out if they sell it here or not... >_>

Thanks to everyone that doesn't deserve a waffling. '>_>

It's quite good. Takes a little while to get used to..

I'm hopefully gonna try and get my camcorder back, and then use Camtasia to make some tutorials & whatnot.

Camtasia seems to be for recording screen video. Is the built-in editor that good?2008-09-21 13:03:00

Can you put multiple audio/music pieces on top of each other?
I find that to be one of the things that I want... >_>

Never tried, but I think there's multiple audio timelines, which would allow you to do that..2008-09-21 20:32:00
