Video Editing
Archive: 17 posts
I'm going to get myself a better camera soon (one that actually works with my computer... >_>), and I want a good video editing program. I want one that isn't way out there in price, but is also advanced enough to give me the opportunity for quality. What I know is very limited to the names of some (Sony Vegas) brands, but I want to know what you lot would recommend. Personal experiences make choices easier. >_< Whoever says Windows Movie Maker will be waffled. >_> | 2008-09-20 20:34:00 Author: ScytheOfGrim Posts: 438 |

+D Hardly any of my **** videos are compatible with WMM. | 2008-09-20 20:40:00 Author: Unknown User |
WMM isn't terrible for minor edits. I wouldn't recommend Vegas, didn't really like it. Premier's supposed to be good and has After Effects, but is pretty expensive and difficult to get around. If you don't know what you're doing, you could get lost. Outside of that...I believe Corel has a decent one? I've never really liked Corel's software, though... | 2008-09-20 21:06:00 Author: bbroman Posts: 1374 |
Camtasia Video Studio. | 2008-09-20 21:37:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
I like WMM, and I've seen some pretty awesome stuff done with Vegas, like this KH AMV to Through the Fire and the Flames, YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.(WARNING: SEIZURE-INDUCING). It might help if we knew what you were doing. | 2008-09-20 21:42:00 Author: Unknown User |
I use both WMM and Ulead Video Studio 11 to both edit 1 video to cover each of their cons with the other's pro! | 2008-09-20 22:17:00 Author: TheArmedReaper Posts: 1543 |
Camtasia Video Studio. Now that's something interesting... I've never even heard of that before, but it seems perfect for me... @_@ Now I'll have to find out if they sell it here or not... >_> Thanks to everyone that doesn't deserve a waffling. I heard that the magic of highlighting stuff is the answer! Is this true?! I'll see whatever happens... '>_> | 2008-09-21 11:36:00 Author: ScytheOfGrim Posts: 438 |
It's quite good. Takes a little while to get used to.. I'm hopefully gonna try and get my camcorder back, and then use Camtasia to make some tutorials & whatnot. | 2008-09-21 11:39:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Camtasia seems to be for recording screen video. Is the built-in editor that good? | 2008-09-21 13:03:00 Author: bbroman Posts: 1374 |
The video studio editor is quite good, yeah. | 2008-09-21 13:13:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Can you put multiple audio/music pieces on top of each other? I find that to be one of the things that I want... >_> | 2008-09-21 13:16:00 Author: ScytheOfGrim Posts: 438 |
Never tried, but I think there's multiple audio timelines, which would allow you to do that.. | 2008-09-21 20:32:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
