Lagswitchers: Enough Already!

Hello fellow gamers. I know this topic is still popping up everytime ou play an online game, say Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but this is still a serious matter.

I'm sick and tired of lagswitchers cheating their way up to the top ranks in leaderboards. They do not deserve the rank that somebody else is working their butt off to get. The thing is, online servers think is just bad connection, but we the gamers know it isn't. I have searched through YouTube, and I can't believe that YouTube still doesn't delete those dumb," How to Make a Lagswitch" videos. But lucky for us, here's some good, REAL gamers who took up the job to stop these fakers.

Her name is HellionGoddess, and she just showed this cheater that it takes skills to win, not lagswithes.

I personally love Killzone, and thanks to WetBingoBango, Damme1 is no longer going to be a trouble. :kz:

Well that's all I guess. Comment about this and hopefully this lagswithing problm can finally go away.

Well, it's when cheaters use a make-shift device that disconnects and reconnects their internet, causing players to view the cheater in one spot, but the cheater is in another spot, killing them without noticing it.

Here's a quick drwaing I made. Sorry about the bad quality.

The green person represents the player. The Black person represents the cheater. So the player sees the cheater like glitched up, or teleporting one foot at another. Now the cheater sees the player as normal, and gameplay is normal. So while the player shoots at the lagged up cheater's last position ( colored black), the cheater can just come, sneak from behind, and kill the player without being noticed ( now colored in grey).		2009-10-11 23:56:00

I've seen people do worse.

On Animal Crossing: Wild World, people actually BRICK your game, forcing you to buy a new one.

I think on Youtube, there's a video of "Zodiac" bricking some little kid. (Or something, I've never seen it...)

There IS a way of fixing that, if you own an Action Replay for DS...

But online cheaters/hackers (I don't mind hacking as long as you do it offline, hacking's fun!*) are probably the most annoying people to play with. (Though, there are some cool hackers, that can bring you to secret stages online on Mario Kart, and stuff.)

Yeah, I know about this.

I don't understand how people actually think they get some kind of reward for this.

In Resistance 2, some lag switcher was on, trying to kill another person. I pwned him with the marksman in the head when I was trying to kill another person. He just kinda popped up in the way and BAM, got the kill. I got the "Sweet Dreams" badge.		2009-10-13 06:40:00

yea, i hate cheaters. i actually stopped playing cod4 for awhile when too many hackers were using godmode. its not like they were owning but it was jus so annoying to see people flying around everyother match. im so glad they fixed those hacks. now they need to fix these lagswitchers... luckily they all suck.2009-10-14 03:20:00

lol lag switches are cheap, but if your dealing with them and they're wrecking your beautiful stats, all you have to do is turn of your ps3 and BAM your stats were never affected by the evil lag switchers

if you want to build a lag switch all you have to go is get a light switch and a ethernet cable. cut the ethernet cable in half and strip some wires, attach the wires to your light switch and BAM you got yourself a lag switch		2009-10-14 03:28:00
