Agree; also not sure if I'll get GOW 3...

I'm Italian and I really want to see what they've done with the story.
It's a GOW rip-off, and that can be an "unselling-point", but what excites me is the character design by Wayne Barlowe, whose book "God's Demon" and illustration I absolutely love.

The problem I have with this game is what they're doing to "Paradise Lost" in order to sell a game. Dante, the man who wrote "Paradise Lost," was a monk, not a warrior. I probably won't be picking it up. *shrugs*2009-10-11 14:54:00

dandy, you're messing things up A LOT.

First of all, Paradise Lost was written by John Milton...Dante Alighieri wrote the Divine Commedy.

Dante, was a poet, and to be honest, he was really involved in politics at that time.
Due to his taking part in politics for the faction that was against the Church, he was banished/exiled from the city where he was born and that he loved.

So he wrote this long poem that is his vengeance against the adverse politic faction and against the bad habits of the Catholic Church.
So he put his enemies in Hell, and he told other stories...

You should research thing about it a little better
Trust me, I'm Italian, we study that poem at school for 3 years

Ah, crap. Figured I'd confuse those two. I'm American, and we study The Scarlet Letter and stuff over here.2009-10-11 16:14:00

Well, when I initially heard of this title I was interested. The screens looked good, the plot looked intriguing, and I enjoy a good "bishy bashy" game, the name I use for this genre (I think action RPG is the normal name ).

Anyway, if you look closely, you will notice the previous paragraph was in past tense. I downloaded the developers diary things and, well, was shocked. It was far too gross for me to appreciate. Unless things really do change, I just can't see myself being interested in this title any further.

It's one thing to explore the dark side of the human nature. It's another thing to, well... it was just revolting to me.

You can call that a "beat'em up".
