Sharpen Tool

Archive: 18 posts

Okay, here's my idea. Have you ever wanted to make an object, like a sword, but then got angry because it couldn't kill you? Well, with this you could!
My idea is, a sharpen tool. You select it, then you select an object, just like you do with the Corner Editor tool. Then, you just select a side of the object, and then, POOF! It's now lethal, and can kill you in the same way as the Dagger object.
So, whaddyathink?

lol, more the merrier. But to be fair there would have to be some way you could "tell" its hazardous. It wouln't be fair to be killed by sharp objects that look normal lol2009-10-11 02:17:00

Or just add a Razor material; A sharp material that you can make sharp things out of.2009-10-11 05:11:00

Thick or thin, it'd be a blade. A sharp material for blades and weapons and hazards with sharp shapes of any size.2009-10-11 05:23:00

Visually, the edge could simply be chamfered, like a real blade, or the aforementioned dagger. That would be easy enough to spot and look fairly good, I think. As for using spikes instead, hiding spikes behind a wafer layer or any similar technique just doesn't cut it aesthetically if you are making, say, an axe or a sword.2009-10-25 14:34:00

Yeah, and add some shiny metallic effect and I think it will look good.2009-10-30 16:53:00

What you can do though to get that effect is simply make the spikes tiny, (and its possible) so small in fact that it simply looks like a bunch of jagged edges, and then glue them to the surface of the material.2009-10-30 17:56:00

If I remember right, those spikes are very thermo greedy...
That's why this material would be useful!

If not, then, well, byebye sharp material!

They aren't thermo heavy, I've done it on a barbwire fence.

It is?
Well, Byebye sharp material!

But it would have been cool to have such a hazard/material, though...

You can make a lethal sword by having a very thin gas layer attached on its outside.2009-11-15 19:46:00
