| Quozl is a character from an Alan Dean Foster novel, he is a time travelling rabbit. Way way back in the days before the WWW was even invented (1988ish) the net was all text based and I was looking for a unique nick that noone else on IRC or newsnet was using at the time. A mate suggested QuozL as he had just finished the novel and I have used it since then, lately I have seen a few more people using it and someone grabbed it on PSN which really ****** me off as he hasn't used the account in ages according to what I could find out. Anyway I'm currently thinking of hunting around for a new unique one but everyone I have met on the net since the late 80's knows me as QuozL so it would be hard to change it now. | I posted this in my introduction topic, so you may know this already. Several years back, I was going into Call of Duty multiplayer, and I wanted a good name. I wanted something that sounded like a real name, and had a game-name type of twist to it, but without being overblown (like all the "killer89666" and the like you see around). So I sat down, and after about fifteen minutes, I came up with 'D. Stroyer'. I tried a few first names, and Mark ended up having the right ring to it, so I took that and ran with it. I soon began using it for other games, forums, and pretty near much everything, so it's become my online alias. Yes, it's cheesy, but so am I, and it kinda captures my personality a bit. (Serious...yet cheesy! What a combo.) Unfortunately, it's rather LONG, and in some places I've had to edit it to fit. (Such example, my PSN ID: MarkDStroyer.) Also, if I need to quickly type in a name, I'll use Mark. In fact, I even respond to Mark in real life, although people never actually mean me. (Interesting sidenote. | Ahh, the clan days. Back in the days of the original Unreal Tournament, there once was a clan called the magnets. Rocket Magnet, Bullet Magnet, Grenade Magnet and Flak Magnet. We were named after the type of weapon we specialised in, mine was the Flak Cannon. The clan has long since dispanded and there is only me and Rocket still using forms of our usernames. He's now Rocket_Magnet and I squashed mine together and decpitalised it because I decided I preferred it that way. There is (as far as I am aware) only one other person using flakmagnet (or in his case Flak magnet) who runs a minatures website of WW2 stuff. We rarely cross paths as he is not a gamer, so I get the username I want on almost everything. | I like the sky. Sky is loosely related to air, thus, aero. I like the color blue, thus... well, blue. "Blue sky"? Maybe... Aero Blue was actually a character in a story I was once writing but left unfinished. To make it more original (and to make sure noone was using it), I put both words together and changed up the "O" for a "zero". I've been using it for about six years now, I think. | a lot of people have asked me this well i used to have 2 names: ICEHail and HailFire, and so both of them were used and i was thinking elements so i came up with the 2 i used earlier. ICEHail was just one i thought was cool and well lets talk about the other one first because that was my first name idea. HailFire is a US military name for a piece of machinery (i think it is a long range heavy gun, appropriate huh) and so i decided that that was really cool so i really liked and decided to adopt it. Then after seeing the movie Top Gun, one of the characters was called Ice Man because he was cool and relaxed, and i was astounded by how much that sounded like me so i adopted Ice after that and then put that one together with HailFire to get ICEHail now that was my absolute favorite but then i found that my account in the PS3 would no longer allow me to play online so i had to make a new one, So i took the original and ICEHail and decided to put them together again?i liked using elements as names because it sounded very powerful?so i thought how can i put these two together and i narrowed it down that ICE and Fire would have to be put together and i thought that that would not make much sense because the fire would melt it and that it would be better to say that it was rain, so now i have RAINFIRE (my reason for putting ICE and FIRE together was because they are kind of like a yin and yang effect and i love things like that) So there you have it, it may be long but that is how my name RAINFIRE came to be, I use this for nearly everything and even though i have some variants to it (probably because they thought it was so awesome that they should use it and steal it from me >_>) and those are usually RAINFIRE SnS (the SnS was the very first clan i was in and i thought it was symbolic so i put that at the end) i also use Rainfires (out of my frustration that there were so many posers, even if they are not i will always think of them as such because it took me such a long time to think of the name) so there you have it, how i got my name, and all of my variants' Cheers all! | 2008-10-23 00:21:00 Author: RAINFIRE  Posts: 1101 |

| Back when I was in Kindergarten, My brother (who was then in 5th grade) and two other kids who we were friends with for some reason (no way we arenow though- I think one got expelled, but the other graduated- anyway). We had a story thing set in a world called Doran (my brother named it affter me). It started as a Zelda fanfic thing, but we eventually threw that out altogether. a few years later, I decided to try it again, and rewrite it- which ultimatally failed because I was too lazy, and apparrently not that good a writer anyway. Anyway, the main character of that series was Rock Sauron- my brother naming him after the Sauron from LOTR, as he named many things back in Doran after things he liked. Anyway, Eventually my friends were playing Runescape, so I decided to join them. I couldn't think of a name besides Triforce and some random number combination, then I decided to name myself RockSauron after this character. Then I used it for my email, my gamefaqs account- and for every internet password. If you google my name, you'll find ALL of me... online. Then after seeing the movie Top Gun, one of the characters was called Ice Man because he was cool and relaxed, and i was astounded by how much that sounded like me so i adopted Ice after that and then put that one together with HailFire to get ICEHail now that was my absolute favorite but then i found that my account in the PS3 would no longer allow me to play online so i had to make a new one, So i took the original and ICEHail and decided to put them together again?i liked using elements as names because it sounded very powerful?so i thought how can i put these two together and i narrowed it down that ICE and Fire would have to be put together and i thought that that would not make much sense because the fire would melt it and that it would be better to say that it was rain, so now i have RAINFIRE (my reason for putting ICE and FIRE together was because they are kind of like a yin and yang effect and i love things like that) So there you have it, it may be long but that is how my name RAINFIRE came to be, I use this for nearly everything and even though i have some variants to it (probably because they thought it was so awesome that they should use it and steal it from me >_>) and those are usually RAINFIRE SnS (the SnS was the very first clan i was in and i thought it was symbolic so i put that at the end) i also use Rainfires (out of my frustration that there were so many posers, even if they are not i will always think of them as such because it took me such a long time to think of the name) so there you have it, how i got my name, and all of my variants' Cheers all! | *Had to post too* Long time ago I read the Brian Jaques book "The Legend of Luke" in the book, Luke fights an evil stoat named "Vilu Daskar" at the end of the book, he is chained to the wheel of Vilu Daskar's pirate ship and he locks the wheel so it crashes into a huge rock and destroys the ship and everything on it. Just before this happens, he gives a short eloquent speeck. I was so inspired by the speech I read it several times. Several weeks alter I had a dream that my name was "Velo Daskar" I won't bore you with the details of the dream, but I was getting married, and everyone spoke spanish in the wedding, and all the groomsmen wore clogs, very weird.
