REMEMBER THAT THE US STORE UPDATES AROUND 5-6PM (eastern times NY) and the EURO store shall be up soon.

Japan is already updated but for some reason there's no music pack!

I know, it's kinda annoying. It's been later than usual for the last couple of weeks. Then again we have been getting some pretty good updates recently so I suppose it's not that bad.

I'm betting on Brutal Legend, Uncharted or Ratchet and Clank, there all coming out in the next few weeks

All sound bets - but I don't think those are coming out as soon as you think. None of those games are even out yet - they're probably saving the good DLC for Christmas.

Ah but there were several hints by MM on those 3. I can't remember where but one was (in regards to Ratchet and clank DLC on a sack it to me)

"Hmmm, when's A crack in time coming out again?"

And i don't see them doing more than one on one week (since brutal legend and uncharted are coming next week, R&C the week after) I think odds are pretty good we'll be getting at least one of these 3 before the end of the month

Jesus Christ, when MM is having problems with Sony, they should AT LEAST say so instead of pretending it's out like if they were some sort of invincible gods and that their blog alters reality.

EDIT; It's GMT -5

Clearly, because for it to be 6:20 it would have to be to be GMT -4. Yet you said -3.

I'm guessing Mm posted that assuming it would be out on the store shortly, then went home for their tea. I doubt Spaff is still there at 10:30pm to continue blogging....

Mike Kebby from the EU PSblog:

Okay further update (and actual information for you)
I've been on the phone for the past half hour and have found out that the stores are still being built ? we have had major bugs that were making content disappear, so the team have been back-editing everything to ensure that it stays on the store once we publish later tonight (yes tonight, not tomorrow).
The stores will be going live by midnight I've been told. I?ll update you once I've seen it with my own eyes.

I just want to point out that MM is probably just as annoyed as all of you that it didn't come out today for Europe. They clearly expected it to, and the delay on Sony's end is likely something to do with all the trouble they've been having the past couple days with the PSN.2009-10-08 23:20:00

Wow, I really love the music pack!

My favourite is Wise Owl, followed by Well Trained, but Tea by the Sea is wonderful also.

Also, for all of you looking for a nice ambient sound for outer space, look no further than ambient 1, 2, and 3 on the Wise Owl interactive track.

Also, the stickers are all the music stickers we need. I updated my pod with some musicality

http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t237/blopwiicade/APhoto_26.jpg

First person to guess what song that is wins all my cookies! Hint: It's a well known film theme, and it's the most recognizable part of it even though it's just a small snippit. Oh and the flat at the beginning is the key signature, not an accidental.

Bang on on the ambient space sounds... my first thoughts exactly. The FX track as well... pretty much take out the drums and the melody and the whole piece is riddled with sci-fi appropriate tracks.

I don't read music, but I want those cookies. Is it Star Wars?

Update: It appears the European store was not updated with this pack, and so in all likelihood this pack will arrive next Thursday in Europe instead. Sorry about that, we?re sad pandas too, we wanted to use it ourselves!

Oh well... At least Mm have noticed now.

Bang on on the ambient space sounds... my first thoughts exactly. The FX track as well... pretty much take out the drums and the melody and the whole piece is riddled with sci-fi appropriate tracks.

I don't read music, but I want those cookies. Is it Star Wars?

Not Star Wars, but getting warmer

We already got the update with the music in it right (the like 28mb one)? So we can listen to levels with it and just not create with it? Or was that update for something else or it won't work.

Sometimes I wonder why there's such a problem every single time. I understand MM is doing their best, and it's hard for me to tell since I don't know anything about the situation, but I get the feeling that there's something horribly wrong on Sony's end. Or they're just really unorganized. :/2009-10-09 14:08:00

The thought just crossed my mind that they could be considering hiking the price to match the dollar price. The US price was hiked at the last mintue to a dollar more, now they could be thinking of doing it to the euro one also.2009-10-09 14:11:00

September is a busy time for games. There's a lot of conventions and releases, and so to stay on top; announcements. Still, I thought they'd just have a machine that presses upload when the timer goes off

Build it into the database:

SELECT * FROM products WHERE releaseDate < NOW()

Yeah, you'd think someone at sony could manage that, but apparently not.

Mm Music Pack 1 is now available on the European Playstation Store.

Here's an updated Media Molecule post that confirms the news, just incase you don't want to take just my word for it for some reason.

yey. and they didn't hike the price! I never thought it was fair in the first place to have the dollar price the same as the euro. I mean 4 dollars is actually only worth 2.71 in euros now.2009-10-09 15:25:00

Yeah, same here. Just my luck - finish work early, break a few traffic laws on the way home (don't do it, kids!), settle down with a strong coffee and...

...nothing.

It's definitely available for purchase in Europe now.
I'm from Europe and have purchased and downloaded it myself.

Suppose it's just typical that the PSN would go down for maintenance, shortly after the European Playstation Store uploads and displays the new Music Pack.

Ooh I take it you have a Wii you lucky devil?

Just been reading about that game in EDGE magazine and it looks brilliant. I wish that was on PS3, I'd love to take a look at that.

BTW it's still showing the 'undergoing maintenance' message as of 1 minute ago.

Just bought it too!

"Tea by the sea" is definitly my favorite, I love it!
"Well trained" is good and better than I thought
"Wise all" is very interesting (but not very "melodic")

I'm quite happy with this 1st music pack!

I finally bought it but I don't like it at all.
From the few bits in the trailer they seemed good but I won't ever find any kind of use in my levels, maybe something from Wise Owl, that anyway is too much confused.
And the stickers are not really useful

But it's my support to the game anyway, so I'm happy to have bought it.

With Wise Owl, turn up only the Drums and Accompaniment A.
Listen, and comment on how similar it could sound to certain menu tracks in other older games.

I agree. After all the hype i was expecting something great but they're very disappointing especially as we had to pay for them. I'd have been disappointed even if they'd been free.

The only useful thing I can see in the whole pack is the stickers. The straight line sticker is the most useful but why they couldn't have given us a simple straight line sticker months ago I have no idea.

Well, you know, we've got great stuff for free, so I don't mind to pay just few bucks.
I agree the songs have real different vibes from what we've already got.
But still they're not my cup of tea.
So not quite disappointed but just a little sad.

Well, you should only really buy the music if you have plans to use it. Just like you should only buy a sticker kit if you actually have a use for the stickers.

i had a costume ,object, pod & maybe a sticker fail to load & my data had reverted,& a useless community object i deleted was back in my list & stuff i had saved disapeared. i did loads of tweaks & they were all gone, cant be bothered to tweak em againwise owl or tea in the sea yeah, definately not the blues 1.
