plasmavore's Top 3 LittleBigPlanet Suggestions

Ok so instead of making a separate thread for each of these, I decided to include them all in this one thread. So here they are.......... (in spoiler tags as some are quite long.) 1. Image Import This would be awesome. It would be so easy to create levels based on films and other game scuh as Zelda, Mario or Star Wars. I know that you can created your own sticker by using the photo option, but it can be quite tricky to make detailed stickers, plus you are limited to just a rectangle shaped sticker. An image import tool could also be very useful for the following; - Photoshop/MS Paint (or similar) : You could draw out a little sticker yourself in photoshop and put it in the game. -Planning (and Creating) Levels: Think of the situation. You have made an excellent plan for a new level on LBP. You try to transfer it from paper to the screen, but it just isn't happening. That's when you get out your scanner scan in your plan, save it and import the image into your level. Stick it onto a massive block of any old material and just build the level around that outline. (f you do not have a scanner then you could just plan on paint or photoshop. 2.B] Music Import Just think... You are making a hmm... let's say Zelda ('cos it's awesome) level. You want to include the epic theme tune during your introduction but... Horror of Horrors....... You find it difficult to make a loop using the in-game sound effects. . You give up hope of your awesome level. But then, you see a light, a pop-up, install new patch? You install and WOW. A music import tool?!!! Then you can create your level using the awesome Legend of Zelda series soundtrack! (seriously, if you've never heard it, search it on Youtube, it will blow your mind.) This kind of stuff would be very useful for levels based on films and other games (as I said for Sticker import) [B]3. Filming Video This would be cool as well. If you are making a tutorial level, then you could just film yourself making whatever it is and then just put it in a new object that works like the TV scoreboard things in the tutorials. This would also be good for levels which have cutscenes and stuff. There could also be an option to upload straight to Youtube. So there they are, my Top Three. If I get any more I'll edit this post. So what's your Top Three? Post it as a reply! Thanks! plasmavore | 2009-10-06 19:16:00 Author: Plasmavore Posts: 1913 |
They are all epic, i would love to see those in the game, especially the last one, i don't believe i've seen it anywhere before | 2009-10-06 19:42:00 Author: springs86 Posts: 785 |
Image Import was actually implemented and shown off, but was removed for reasons unknown to us. | 2009-10-06 20:10:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
Music import wouldn't work, not only because of copyrights, but because of loading times. All the music we have in the game now exists on the playstation, if we could import music everyone would have to download the songs to hear them, and that would take time. I think that same goes for video, images though aren't very big files so I think that could work as you can already take pictures with the PSeye. | 2009-10-06 21:43:00 Author: napero7 Posts: 1653 |
