Talk like a Pirate Thread

| Well, it's 8 here in the eastern U.S., so I'm kind of late, but today was International Talk like a Pirate Day. Well, by that, I mean the fake pirate language by the guy who played Long John Silver or whoever in Treasure Island... Anyway... Arr! What be the point of this thread, matie? ... Anyway, I contributed. Talking like a pirate made me kind of want to say this. You see, I was kind of forced into my school's "archeology club". Well, forced because I love history. Anyway, yeah, I mentioned this because we dug at Marcus hook last Spring, which is where Blackbeard's mistress was at. So, yeah, we dug there... right next to an oil factory down the river. Yep. Found some pirate plates and such. In fact, our teacher/club founder found a "Sun Plate" piece the other day. Which is essientally one of the last man made plates before the Industrial Revoulution. There have only been like 8 of them found- but this one was different because it had fork marks and stuff. See, the other plates were fancy and put on a mantle- but this one was probably at one time, but pirates probably stole it and ate from it. Since it WAS a pirate town. Anyway, we also dug at Valley forge this summer. Yep. First high schoolers to do that since the 60's. And there hasn't even been much archeology there at all, since the superintendant there banned it. So we had to dig on private property that was also part of the campsite- allowed to, of course. And this summer, we may even dig at Washington's headquarters. Yep. >_> Anyway... Yes, just thought I'd let you know cause I was bored and randomally thought of that.
