spray paint

Archive: 11 posts

my idea is to have a spray paint tool
its sticker optionyou choose they you choose you color
you drage the cursor over and hold x to spay it down
also its a dynamic setup as it you spray it down it leaves drip and spray marks
the more you spray the thicker it is
and one last thing is it covers every thing and be able to delete things infront of it and use them as stencils

thats my idea and i hope mm reads this and takes it into consideration

How about stickering bad words??? :kz:

This is a good idea in my oppinion. Similar to the paint tool that got taken out.
The stencil idea sounds really good.

Yeah at the end of the day this is just a quicker way of stickering so any bad points that can be applied to this can be applied to stickers. I like the idea though.2009-10-05 01:49:00

paint tool..... was there a paint tool?
(sounds interesting, have wanted a paint tool for a looooong time.
That could maybe fix the sticker bug and allow us to save some profile space)

Bear in mind the thermo considerations of this. You would very quickly max out the therm for stickers this way, as you would be essentially creating custom stickers to go on materials.

I can see the benefit of it though, but at this point I'd rather just have a colour mixer tool that allows you to select any colour using the RGB gamut and give us basic shape stickers in that colour (square, circle, paintsplats etc.) This would be great.

The spray painting idea is a good idea, the bad word buisness... hardly anyone does anything wrong and if someone did do something wrong all you have to do is report, and hardly anyone ever does any bad behaviour or anything so I doubt anyone on LBP would be dumb enough to fall into the pit of doom ^^;

but you also need to consider: how will it truly be set out? by that I mean how can you choose colour, will you want a pattern, will you want drip? LBP's most strongest point is the realism it tries to place in the ways of movement, so that needs to be taken in account too <.<

I remember when MM said they were going to put in a paint tool but then scrapped the idea because they thought that stickering would be enough.
...so it wasn't actually in the full game or anything

This could actually come out with the Sony Motion Controller. It would fit quite well.
But I'd like to have a range of diffeent types of paint, brush, spraypaint, penicil etc.

I've been thinking the same thing, but I've found levels with rectangles of almost every color, so I just use those. The basic colors and shapes provided for stickers are paltry at best. Also, I wish there was an option to make stickers snap to the grid for sizing and angling when Grid Mode is turned on, because Grid Mode would be more useful if it was a uniform system.
