Hey LBP-central!
I recently finnished my new level called "Isles of the Sky". It is my second level and the first one since I had to get a new PSN, I used to play on my brothers PS3. My new PSN is Per-David by the way.

I wanted to make the level a bit longer than it turned out, and I had some decent ideas that I could not include (thermometer got full) . But I am quite pleased with it anyway.

Thanks for playing!

Really??
Rats! Well i?ve heard about some glitch/bug whatever you wanna call that makes it so that you can?t search on new PSN user or something? But I though that was bogus, but if that is the case, does anyone know of a fix? Anyway - I appriciate that you tried a least , maybe you can find it under "sky" or something?

Yeah I tried looking for you and can't find you or the level. What you can do is search for me, and if you can find me, post a message on one of my levels (let me know which one), and I'll be able to get to your levels from there. The screen shots look nice!2009-10-05 03:46:00

I have had a lot of trouble lately when I try to search for certain levels or authors. There is definitely something buggy with it lately.2009-10-05 05:53:00

Yes - searching for new levels is currently bugged, they're working on a fix.

In the meantime, if you don't have any other levels people can get to your planet profile by searching out, you'll have to post a comment somewhere for people to find your planet profile.

Okey!, Well PowerShifter - I gave a short little comment on your level: Little Riven Planet, nice level by the way - I did not have the time to finnish it but I will probably do to night!2009-10-05 08:08:00

I found your level through Powershifters comments and had a play.

It's very similar to Jump_Buttons sky town levels actually, in looks and design. Its a shame you've followed his style because you obviously can create nice visuals and platforming sections.

The level was laid out well, and looked nice. I would suggest you emit the balloons at the bridge raising puzzle, because you can run out, and it could stop you finishing the level.

Yeah I am not gonna lie about taking some inspiration from his level. And perhaps some credit would be due! Anyway I have, somewhat of, an explanation. I started this level in a flash game I did when I went to art-school. It was somehow similiar to this level. And now that I have just started creating these LBP levels I guess I needed too look at someone else's level and gather inspiration on what was possible to do. I looked at jump_buttons levels and thought that that was kind of the "style" i wanted to go with.

And now that I have read your comment I looked at it again and realized that I used almost the same materials - this was of course unfortunate, but I dont know maybe I "copied" his style there too, but unconcious.

Anyway I hope that he can take it as a compliment - that I like his levels and that they look good.

Ah, of course. Sky Town. There was a slight pang of familiarity yet I could not recall where on earth from. I think you could easily alter the lighting or colouration if you felt it was a little too reminiscent of Jump_Button's work, yet I do not think anyone is going to challenge your work.

I enjoyed its simplicity and the lack of anything overly strenuous, which meant you could just relax and enjoy it. My only real grievances(if they could be called such a thing) with it were within the balloon section: I was not altogether certain of how many balloons were required until I used them all and then finally realized that only one was required. The platform up to the balloons(as well as the farmer) was a bit of a stretch and I had to reattempt both upon one or two occasions. Yet outside of those little niggles - a succinct and well rounded level.

I've played Sky Town and I didn't get the feeling that you copied. So rest assured!

Thanks for posting on one of my old levels - otherwise I would've have found ya! I played through it twice and here are my thoughts:

Pros:
- I liked the overall simplicity of the level
- The bridges and windmills were really nice
- I liked that you added some secret areas
- The balloon puzzle was a cool idea
- I was impressed to see a waterfall on what appears to be your first level
- Good choice of music

Cons (polite suggestions):
- In the beginning when you first drop down, if you go to the left you can see the moving water peak out - you should either continue out the landscape to the left, but make it inaccessible (which is what I'd do), or you should adjust the camera angle
- The second yellow grab swingy thing (for lack of a better description) needs a bigger yellow sticker .. it's right before the farmer guy
- I think more stickers might have made this level look better (maybe, not sure)
- I understand that you need to use a line of gas below the level just in case sack boy falls, but maybe cover it up with some cloud material or something so that it can't be seen
- I didn't notice too many sounds... For example: I don't remember hearing any creaking noises as I walked over bridges, or wind as the windmills turned, etc.

Overall:
4 :star:'s

Nice job! I thought this was a great first level (if it is indeed your first)
