Did anyone watch the premiere of Stargate Universe last night? I thought it was good. If you did not watch it, but plan to, please stop reading this post because there are some spoilers. They spent a lot of time with the story and less time with action, which is to be expected since it's new. I liked the concept of it - the 9th chevron bringing them billions of light years away from Earth. I'm not so sure about that scientist guy, can't remember his name. He definitely seems shady. Eli seems cool, maybe a bit over the top, but then again, how would you be if you were beamed on a starship a day after playing a video game that was vaguely similar? So far I don't think the characters will be as memorable as SG-1, or even Atlantis, but I'm willing to give them a chance and I'm very interested to see where this Stargate takes us. Observation: is it just me or does it seem like they are going for an overall 'darker' feel to Stargate (lighting and the way they are filming, not story)? It reminded me just a little bit of Battlestar Galactica. EDIT: This thread should be under 'media' .. oops! :blush:
