The 1st Annual LBPCentral Awards! *VOTING CLOSED*

Hello there Happy Gadders! I know that there was something like this a while back, but I thought I should resurrect that by creating this thread!

Now you may be wondering," This is a fail, CC's going to lock it." Well I thought I think that if all goes well, CC will consider bringing it back, so try not to mess it up...please.

So here's the works. The voters, that's you, will be deciding who brings home the award. That's right. All you have to do is cast a name on the post, or Pm me if you want it private.Easy as pie, right?Here's your categories!


Newcomer Award
Noobs who socialize with everybody the minute they log on.

Contributer Award
They lend a helping hand. They're eager to inform you. I just described a dog!

News Reporter Award
They dig up the dirty stuff. They seek the truth, the sole truth, and nothing but the truth. They know what the new content is coming up before anyone, but they're willing to share it.

Rookie Designer Award
The noobs of the pack. Yet they have some of the best levels out there.

Creativity Award
You made an waesome sig, or you got a popular thread? Then this is your category.

Creator Award
They got skillz. They made the Cool Levels. They're levels PWN3D!

Trendsetter Award
The cool-cat of the group. If they say black's the new white, then you best believe it.

Txt Msgr Award
If they constantly write everything in text, like,"brb" and "omg", then sign them up!

Go To Person Award
You got the answer to everything. You can figure out anything. You resemble Dr. Phil.

Comedian Award
They make you laugh. Now make them winners!:arg:

Friendly Award
You just can't reject a friend request. Good hearted people rule!

Sewer Award
They have such an waesome thread. Why not vote for them?

No competition for the biggest ego award that's easily s3xNstilettos. Not only is she always telling people how good she is , she has to write in that horrible pink too so that everyone notices. Oh and she hijacks other peoples threads aswell ( take a look at Burnvictim42's 'just play' thread to see what I mean ).

Not really. In most popularity contest, you have to be around a while, and active a lot. But some Awards are meant for beginners, like "Newcomer Award" and "Pet Lover Award". I think I got a new Award, "Rookie Designer Award". It meant for those beginning here, but have great leves.

Seriously, I think this is a bad idea all round. It's been tried a couple of times already but unsuccesfully. It's the sort of thing that would just antagonise people and cause resentment. Especially as there seems to be a certain clique on here who always support one another and would invariably end up voting for each other regardless of merit.

When do I tell people anything about being good? If you're referring to extreme platforming, it is a sport/game with professional play. You, like many others, are misunderstanding it as someone thinking they're better because you've never heard of extreme platforming. So when someone in a thread somewhere is misunderstanding this, I try to explain it.

As for the pink text, I have done that since the very first time I started posting at forums back early this decade. It is a signature preference of mine. How are you getting that confused with ego?

And as for Burnvictim's Just Play thread, in case you didn't know, him I talked about that level behind the scenes. I was a playtester, and suggested things for it also behind the scenes like all the playtesters.

Why is everyone being like that?

Someone can openly insult someone like that and no one sees it? I'm not the one causing a failure of this to work. If everyone wants this to work out, then surely someone could see why Mistervista shouldn't say things like that, lest ruin it for everyone.

I think it may have been better if Killian made it... which he was going to.

I'm not one to hold grudges, as I hate that feeling. Plus I'm a nice girl, despite the fact that I can come across as the opposite when it comes to misunderstandings of things like extreme platforming, etc. But misunderstandings of that I guess is no one's fault as extreme platforming is only known among a select community of people (LBP players, especially the Japanese players where it all started), as in it hasn't broken into the mainstream yet. Because of this when someone says they're an expert, I could see why someone would think it's some person simply self-proclaiming themselves good, and thinking they're better, when really they are legitimate professional players. It's like national sports, professional players never think that because they're the best at what they do that that makes them a better person than anyone else, but of course you'll get the occasional player that gives the wrong image with their cockyness, ego, arrogance, etc.

It could be because I don't always word things the right way also, which is a problem I have. Either way it's just a misunderstanding, and will always be a misunderstanding until extreme platforming breaks into the mainstream, if ever.

Well there are a lot of negatives to be seen. The fact that you are still undecided on what the awards will be, long after voting started, for one.

It's the fact that you are dealing with a subject that has historically proven itself to be messy, and then you completely failed to give anyone any confidence that you would do it better.
