Danger in the DarkBen7228
Fun platforming level with cool lighting effects!
all
This is a new level from my son "Benjamin". He's 7 years old, and getting pretty darned good at creating. I would love it if some members could check it out.... and please don't low-rate. I want him to feel good about it - he's done a great job for a 7-year-old! I didn't help him at all - he did all the switch logic and effects by himself.

I'm willing to do some F4F on this one for him.

Hi, ccubbage

just played it. It was better than i thought, man. I thought it's gonna be built by square materials all over the place. It's not! lol! he even put some speakers in some place, nice!
I loved the first 30 seconds I ran through his lvl. The red box thing is really nice. I didn't know what it was but it caught me.

One of the spotlight fell on the ground, Have your son fix it.

I rated it 5. Hope he will feel good about it

I can't find it on your account in LBP.

It's not on his account, look up Ben7228.

Anyway just gave this level a run through, and it's actually not bad. Music fits well with the level, even has some nice aesthetics going (that red box thingy caught my eye as well.)

Found a block of dark matter just chillin about towards the section with the speech bubble that says "I have to get out of here!" if you choose the top path, you'll see some dark matter. Tell your son to fix this.

I gave it a 5 stars, not because I felt like it didn't deserve it, to be honest, your son's level is harder then yours.

Cool, I will try it for sure.
Maybe not until the end of the week, but I'm really curious.
I want to see what the great fantasy of a child can deliver with the help of one of the best creators around.

Heh.... well, I didn't help too much but he's been watching me so he's been properly using the corner tool and trying to do things right.

He fixed the dark matter and the light sitting on the floor.

Well, well - another talented member from the Cubbage household.

I loved the lighting and the atmosphere, and there was enough interest throughout to hold my attention.

I died a few times, though this isn't surprising - he must have learned to add palm-sweating peril from his daddy.

Great fun, and an amazing effort from one so young. He should be very proud of himself.

5*, hearted, tagged with 'Brilliant'.

Great!
One of my friends who is 12 doesn't make cool stuff like Benjamin's.
Quite creepy for a 7 year child, but very cool.
He used quite well the 3 planes too.
I rated it 5 stars, left a comment and uploaded a pic.

No need to F4F CCubbage, it has been a pleasure and a joy for me to see such a good willed and skilled kid.

Hey CCubb, if you don't see any feedback from me in the next couple of days, spam my inbox until I give some. I have every intention to try it out, but I tend to be pretty....

...

Huh?

Oh! ...absent minded.

Well well, a chip of the ol' block ey?
I do wonder how this goes in your family...6-7pm, mandatory father/son LBP hour?

That was pretty good when you consider your son is only 7!!
A solid level that I very much enjoyed playing.

Gave it 5 stars and hearted your offsprings' latest.

Thanks guys (and gal!). I know when he sees his level getting some plays, hearts, and decent ratings he's going to have a big smile on his face. The last time he published he did it without letting me know first, and was really downhearted from the results - said he didn't want to publish levels anymore. So this will definately help to boost his confidence.

And no, we don't really have a "father/son LBP hour". He is allowed 1 hour a day to play video games, and chooses to spend the entire thing creating in LittleBigPlanet - but he doesn't want my help. I've been passing the suggestions along to him, and he's been doing the changes all by himself.
