What is the Best looking story level
Archive: 66 posts
It doesn't have to be the best level. Throw gameplay out of the window for a second. What is the most visually appealing media molecule level out there. I'd love to see what most people think. For me it is probably Serpent Shrine from my memory. What's yours? | 2009-09-27 11:22:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
I'd say either Elephant Temple or Meerkat Kingdom! Elephant temple is pretty simple but i love the visuals | 2009-09-27 14:21:00 Author: iGotFancyPants Posts: 1355 |
I was going to say Meerkat Kingdom but now you mention it Serpent Shrine is really good as well. Those are my 2 favourites anyway | 2009-09-27 14:41:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |
i personally wowed at the mines | 2009-09-27 14:57:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
I really liked Serpentine shrine for all the detail and decorations. Excellent level visually | 2009-09-27 18:35:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
I think it's the first level in the Gardens, and the worst would be that survival challenge in the Wilderness, I think it's called "Rotor Tubes". | 2009-09-27 18:42:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
either meerkat kingdom, dancers court or first steps. | 2009-09-27 19:50:00 Author: Unknown User |
serpant shrine, the first level of the weddings, all wilderness levels and the first savanaah level, but if i had to pick one it would be terrible omnis volcano | 2009-09-27 20:00:00 Author: springs86 Posts: 785 |
I think that all of The Temple themed levels looked fantastic, but there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. | 2009-09-27 20:10:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
first level of the wedding and the temples were nice | 2009-09-27 21:53:00 Author: rseah Posts: 2701 |
Terrible Oni's Volcano is pretty good-looking, I think. Best would probably be the first Islands level, forget the name. It really pulls of the dojo-esque atmosphere really well. | 2009-09-27 22:31:00 Author: dandygandy2704 Posts: 1002 |
How can you like the visuals of the Elephant Temple? It uses only two materials and no stickers or decorations. I have to say Meerkat is the best looking. | 2009-10-02 22:43:00 Author: keell Posts: 69 |
I think the Swinging Safari one is the best. But then again I love the color orange. The giraffes are just so cool. It's also the one that relaxes me the most because of the totally cool African music. I forget what it's called. | 2009-10-02 23:29:00 Author: thanatos989 Posts: 248 |
I know the one thanatos, it's called.... it's called... I forgot too! : ( I personally like the Dancers Court and some parts of The Frozen Tundra, although i've seen LBPC people make better Ice-themed levels. | 2009-10-03 00:03:00 Author: BabyDoll1970 Posts: 1567 |
I really enjoyed the Wedding Reception and Boom Town. | 2009-10-03 02:54:00 Author: bonner123 Posts: 1487 |
I guess it really depends on who you are. Many people will like the same levels, but probably not for the same reasons... | 2009-10-03 03:00:00 Author: iGotFancyPants Posts: 1355 |
Actually i change my mind. The Wedding is 100% the best. | 2009-10-03 12:31:00 Author: Unknown User |
I think the Introduction level was the most brilliant and beautiful level, but then again I am not sure that it really counts as a level. | 2009-10-04 01:01:00 Author: Kefkaas Posts: 86 |
I really enjoyed the futuristic feel of The Collector. A cliche, yes, seeing as it's the final boss, but I really enjoyed the detail put into it. Next to that, it would be The Serpent Shrine and the stage with all the mines. | 2009-10-04 03:46:00 Author: Xenifus Posts: 306 |
The great magicians palace. | 2009-10-04 03:52:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |
Terrible Oni's Volcano and Serpent Shrine are my personal favorites even though these levels were a pain in the butt to ace. XP | 2009-10-04 18:53:00 Author: FreeFlyzz Posts: 265 |
This is hard, they all look fantastic! I guess I do quite like the look of The Magicians Palace I quite enjoy all the moody colours of that level like the purple and the blue. That level only stands out a tiny bit to me though. | 2009-10-04 19:54:00 Author: olit123 Posts: 1341 |
either The frozen tundra, or Skate to victory | 2009-10-05 03:36:00 Author: Mopthefloo Posts: 139 |
Oni's Volcano, because of the lava in the background | 2009-10-06 00:41:00 Author: chazbell Posts: 40 |
The dog was kind of annoying, but I loved the music and atmosphere of The Darkness. Of course, I am Thanatos. (Check Bulfinch's if you don't get the reference) | 2009-10-06 00:42:00 Author: thanatos989 Posts: 248 |
Low Rider is the best because it was full of stuff. | 2009-10-06 01:11:00 Author: darth621 Posts: 43 |
I don't know if I'm allowed o say this, but my favorite were the MGS pack levels. All of them showed a great eye for what materials go together. (Except the VR ones. Don't like them.) My favorite regular story ones are the gardens. | 2009-10-17 20:59:00 Author: srgt_poptart Posts: 425 |
Yes all the downloadable content levels count too. I think the best mgs level was Act 3- The Mission. All the middle eastern ruins was done perfectly by the mm guys and or girls. I did like VR Training though because I like the way it looks if you look around your screen a bit. | 2009-10-18 09:28:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
DANCER'S COURT!!! Yay!! Most beautiful level ever. | 2009-10-18 16:35:00 Author: SantaAnna Posts: 51 |
serpent shrine i would say is my main favourite but i also like the skuldozer level lol | 2009-10-24 10:37:00 Author: lbpholic Posts: 1304 |
I particularly like the Dancer's court...As well as all the Meerkat Kingdom... | 2009-10-24 21:27:00 Author: KoRnDawwg Posts: 1424 |
Meerkat Kingdom and Magician's Palace were nice. | 2009-10-25 09:13:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
The first part of burning forest is quite good but my favourite looking level has to be serpent shrine. Except when you're playing it online and then its really laggy. | 2009-11-18 21:58:00 Author: Holguin86 Posts: 875 |
I like the Magicians palace aswell, and serpent shrine, and The terrible Ohi's volcano! | 2009-11-19 17:55:00 Author: The-Matt-Effect Posts: 24 |
i like the darkness, i think it has a cool effect to it, but i dont know what it is. I think it was what i dont like about it is i cant get all the prizes | 2009-11-23 02:11:00 Author: Unknown User |
I dont kno what u guys are talking about i like the Gardens the best its so peaceful....and has great music....let alone its an easy lvl! | 2009-11-29 18:57:00 Author: Seanmon Posts: 10 |
I think that everyone is forgetting the Intro! | 2009-11-29 19:00:00 Author: Plasmavore Posts: 1913 |
The Intro. Definately. | 2009-11-29 20:02:00 Author: SPONGMONKEY56 Posts: 209 |
I loved the look of the gardens levels, the visuals in those levels were absolute eye candy. When I think little big planet, I think of the gardens. A good variety of stickers and materials are used, providing some diversity that is absent on some other themed levels in the story. The savanna and canyons visuals were great also, but the gardens just has that flare that makes it my favorite theme. (Visuals wise! ) | 2009-12-01 04:56:00 Author: uncharted228 Posts: 30 |
The gardens are a bit under decorated, deliberatly I think, to not overwhelm new players instantly and to try and to instill the ethos of 'I could make this'. I think the levels don't start getting pretty until The Burning Forest but the pique of perty for me will probably be The Dancers Court. EDIT: Or Boom Town *drools* | 2009-12-01 18:04:00 Author: Asbestos101 Posts: 1114 |
A tie between the Bunker and the Terrible Oni's Volcano. | 2009-12-09 18:03:00 Author: Grimdour Posts: 142 |
The Introduction and Meerkat Kingdom levels. I go play those for inspiration. | 2009-12-09 20:15:00 Author: GreyMRP Posts: 588 |
I liked the Final level in the Wilderness. If not that, Definitely The Serpent Shrine. | 2009-12-09 23:18:00 Author: Dan930930 Posts: 77 |
I've posted in this thread before, but opinions change. 1. The first Metropolis level, "Lowrider". 2. The second, "Get A Grip", or third, "Skate to Victory" level of the Gardens. 3. The Monster Pack, but I'm not so sure about that one. | 2009-12-09 23:27:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Looking back it's kinda hard to tell, almost all the Story levels are a bit outdated. If I had to pick, it would probably be the Magician's Palace, and even then it would have lots of competition from many community levels. | 2009-12-10 04:07:00 Author: TheFirstAvenger Posts: 787 |
i would say boom town, the whole western look was quite incredible, not to mention one of the most fun levels too. | 2009-12-11 03:31:00 Author: Packfan55 Posts: 15 |
I like the the Wilderness, the intro, and Meerkat. I didn't care for the serpent shrine to much. The moving snakes were kind of klunky. | 2009-12-19 07:56:00 Author: RagTagPwner Posts: 344 |
Serpent Shrine was beautiful, as were all the Savannah levels. However, all the Temple levels were stunning. All the motion and characters that made up the levels were amazing and the mechanics behind all the puzzles didn't only make for a visually amazing section, it was also really fun to play. | 2009-12-20 18:06:00 Author: AeroForce22 Posts: 392 |
Speaking of which, I played an incredible level that was very like The Magician's Palace in style, but I think it was an overall better level, if slightly more difficult. By A creator called.... can't remember. I'll edit tomorrow and You all should check it out. It has very few plays. Also glad to see a thread of mine going somewhere | 2009-12-20 22:55:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
I can't choose, but you know LBP should be an awareness for an ad to save the Earth or something because every time I finish story mode, I couldn't stop but think that people out there are destroying our one and only home. | 2009-12-21 04:50:00 Author: Botak_boy Posts: 56 |
the island levels. they just have a great atmosphere and are in my opinion the best levels. they're quite easy as well. | 2010-02-03 08:24:00 Author: trip090 Posts: 1562 |
The wilderness, for reasons unkown to me. Maybe I'm just a cold person. I love the atmosphere as well with the wailing banshee wind and the foggy abyss. | 2010-02-07 13:25:00 Author: The Gentleman Posts: 360 |
I was most impressed with the Savannah levels. The giraffes are my absolute favorite creations by Mm. | 2010-02-08 01:24:00 Author: thanatos989 Posts: 248 |
Hmm, to me its probably the wedding levels, I love the use of lighting n stuff used in them. | 2010-02-13 00:39:00 Author: Unknown User |
I like the Intro, the last stage and the Temples. They all looked really good. | 2010-02-13 02:27:00 Author: Jazve Posts: 341 |
the bunker its cool and complex | 2010-07-01 20:53:00 Author: reca101 Posts: 9 |
The Introduction level! Simplicity is always beautiful! Just kidding...Probably Serpent Shrine or the level you have to save the Creator Curators from the cages (I forget what it's called). | 2010-07-02 01:44:00 Author: Night Angel Posts: 1214 |
It's too hard to separate the gameplay for me. :/ | 2010-07-02 02:16:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Hmmm... Probably one of the Canyons levels. They were the most visually appealing to me. I've always enjoyed mines... | 2010-07-02 02:42:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
Meerkat kingdom, first steps, and all of the mgs levels. | 2010-07-02 03:17:00 Author: Deviantgeek Posts: 386 |
It's obviously me.. I mean the Islands, of course. PS: I you ever wonder why i'm so good looking.. L'orEal. Because i'm worth it. | 2010-07-02 17:25:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |
All of the Indian levels are beyond fantastic. Well, all of the story levels are, but those ones stand out to me. | 2010-07-07 07:42:00 Author: Sclera Posts: 26 |
I just replayed them all with my sister because we were kinda bored. I'd have to say The Dancer's Court. Or the Serpent Shrine. | 2010-07-07 14:56:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |
I liked The Dancers Court and the Subway. | 2010-07-08 15:23:00 Author: Scifiguy Posts: 95 |
SPLINE RIDER, its a minigame though... Still beast! | 2010-07-11 06:00:00 Author: Emogotsaone Posts: 1030 |
