I'm definitely looking forward to it. I'm not a huge FPS fan, but I really enjoyed Call of Duty 4 and World at War.

Having been a console player since I can remember, being introduced with the master system, I have invested in a gaming PC recently and am borrowing COD4 off my mate for it. I got to 55 on the PS3 version so I'm no noob... but man... this is a whole new game online on PC. Since everything is so much more precise with the controls... the difficulty is really smashed up. I'm thrilled about this game. Pre-ordered the prestige edition. My first COD was 4. WAW did not beat it but is great. Maps are so big in WAW. Best map ever is Shipment. I hope there will some tiny map in MW2 for some 18 player games. I mostly play Domination, but they took away 18p for that in Shipment so now it's 12p max.2009-09-27 17:55:00

1) You missed out, CoD2 was the best by far, none of the perks ********, or the killstreaks, + Bolt Actions that take skill and kill in one
2)Shipment? WTF, it's crap, unless you enjoy running around spraying an lmg getting cheap easy kills. I guess you camp aswell?

so excited to get this game, after Uncharted 2 and this game, ugh NO MONEY! I agree that those perks are stupid, and should be removed, but saying the perk system itself is stupid is going overboard.

I like the perk system, and think that if you know how to use certain perks mixed together used with certain weapons then you know what you're doing and have skills. But if you simply use cheap perks that just help any idiot no matter what like Juggernaut then you don't have skills, you're just using a cheap perk that needs to be removed.

The other 2 perks are "noobish" you could say, but they are also damaging to the idiot using them. They can get cheap kills, and annoy others, but they're not as effective in killing people more efficiently than other perks.
Juggernaut: Should be removed, it's just plain cheap. Martyrdom & Last Stand: Questionable.

All in all, the perk systems great (in my opinion), it just has a few flaws.		2009-09-27 22:16:00

Martyrdom is not questionable - what's the point of perks like UAV jammer and Dead Silence if everyone you sneak up on either kills you with a cheap grenade after you silently take them out, or when they turn around in the last stand invulnerability time and kill you then...

They are just stupid - customizable weapons etc. are great, but there is NO need for the perks at all, especially ones that are detrimental to peoples enjoyment of the game....

It wouldn't be too bad if it was a matter of say - the first 10 -15 levels of the first play through online (so not in Prestige) you could have Stopping Power, Juggernaught, Last Stand, Martyrdom etc. etc. but as soon as you are above that level, you don't have access to it anymore. Even 402 said that it was a handicap for players, so if someone isn't very good they could use something like Martyrdom to help them out, but he said the idea is ruined by people using it who don't need it - hence why you should only be allowed it for maybe 15 ranks.

At the end of the day, they should at least have a playlist with each game mode in it that have no perks on, so anyone who wants matchmaking against other people who dislike perks and just want to have a weapon which does the damage it should do etc. can play and enjoy, and then the people who like being killed by cheap juggern00bs and martyrdom etc. can play in the other 'perks allowed' playlists. But IW are t stupid to realize how easy that would be.

I'm very serious. I love the perk system. I use Deep Impact and Stopping Power almost all the time but Martyrdom is really fun sometimes. I love the mayhem of Shipment, I throw three frags right after each respawn and use Martyrdom on this map. Variety is good. Sometimes I feel like sneaking around and sniping in a large map. I played for a couple hours last night and Shipment didn't come up once, so don't hope for no small map you'll get your kind of fun too. I think the maps make the game. Everything else is nailed down. MW had really good ones. Much better than WAW, so I'm safe .		2009-09-28 01:07:00

Honestly here, I NEVER once played CoD4 multi. no, that's not true actually - I did once at a friend's house on his Xbox. I wasn't into it, I didn't care much for it at first blush.

But I did LOVE the solo campaign. Loved it. Infinity Ward has a knack for creating epic, exciting set-pieces. Modern Warfare was just full of them. From the opening boat mission - that first "weapons free" moment was incredible - there's no booming music, no over-done stylistics - it's very quiet and calm. "Weapons free." *pop... pop pop...* The bad guys are down and you move on. I knew right away that this was a different breed of shooter just in the presentation alone.

I've said it a million times on this board - I'm getting unbelievably shooter-fatigued. I even downloaded this Wolfenstein demo and played a few minutes of it. The mere act of aiming down a rifle and picking off enemies behind cover is wearing SO THIN to me, that I couldn't even finish the thing. I've done this too much. I'm tired of it.

So it's a serious testament to Infinity Ward that I'm actually excited for Modern Warfare 2. I played the first one through 3 times. The campaign is so engaging, so exciting, and there's such an incredible variety of amazing missions and set-pieces. I'm sure the sequel's going to be all sorts of good times.		2009-09-28 01:49:00

We have a lot more weapons, perks, attachments, callsign items, and equipment to unlock this time, needed more levels!

We're addressing modded controllers in MW2 - slightly different than the Rate of Fire cap we did in COD4 recently

There isn't an option to search specific regions / countries when matchmaking, but there is improved matchmaking to auto-assist

An entire team of Riot Shields would be slow moving and extremely vulnerable. Flash grenades force you to expose some

Quite a few maps have varying degrees of visibility due to weather effects.

The throwing knife is thrown via the left hand because the right hand is holding the weapon. Low Ready + Throw w/ lefthand

There will be snow maps in Multiplayer

It takes two rockets to take down an AC-130 in MP. Meaning you can't do it alone but can do it as a team

Nope. Air Drops are random. They could be an ammo resupply or an awesome killstreak reward. Its luck of the draw.

No plan for a Demo before launch. The entire team is focused on polish all the way up to ship of the full game.

Special Ops includes a variety of gametypes and mission objectives. One of many being a Wave Defense type.

I've never really been a fan of COD, I played it when I visited a friend of mine, And I found the sensitivity of the left and the right stick a bit chaotic, witch made me stress a little, but I am sure I can just adjust the sensitivity.

THe minute you said Martyrdom was fun i lost any interest i may have had in your answer. And the 'spawn, throw 3 grenades, die, use martyrdom repeat' on shipment (or any map) ruins the game for everyone.

And there is a reason small maps don't show up in the bigger team games - they are SMALL maps for a SMALL amount of players. If you packed 12 people into shipment it's going to be ****. Because it's made for splitscreen, as is that stupid map with the walkways around the side and a courtyard thing in the middle.

The maps to make a shooter, and CoD2 and Cod3 had the best. MW2 had some good maps, but after playing the beta with my mates we had already played the good ones - Crash and Overgrown.

what you have to learn is to accept other people their opinion...

1) why don't you go play it then if it's so great instead of whining here.
2) each to their own but I, myself enjoy shipment alot because it's alot of fun (unless you're a no-lifer that cares about a K/D ratio)

I do play it, quite a lot. Of course, most people can't have an opinion on CoD2 as the PS3 didn't come out in time to have it as a game. And it is the best CoD multiplayer by far, even if it is aging a bit now.... Go play it and then come back and tell me CoD4 is better.

Shipment isn't fun with more than 4 people, and even then only if you are playing a custom game - you can be killed at any moment by a **** grenade, some guy with a grenade launcher... Anything explosive gets a guaranteed kill and it's pointless. You don't need skill and its no fun.

Why should i have to leave a lobby to avoid playing a map that is far too small for the gamemode i'm playing? There is a reason for small maps - Team Tac and splitscreen. Other than that, they shouldn't be used (unless you are playing custom, then it's up to you...)		2009-09-28 16:58:00

You and I are polar opposites. I will be playing on PS3 but with millions of players we wouldn't meet anyway . I said I like some variety and mayhem with granades is fun for a while. I'm a pretty good player and not concerned with kill/death ratio. Spend most time playing Domination and I'm a sneaky weasel, I like to go after A or C, pop a smoke and get the flag, then run and hide. Usually I win by points but not by kills. I can nail a headshot when I want to but I like more spectacular kills. Like blowing up cars. Annoying peeps who cares about stats is great. I'm sympathetic to noobs.

Sniping on Wet Works is fun. I like taking someone out all the way across the ship when they are just a tiny speck.

The number isn't in millions, at least playing at 1 time, but it is in the hundreds of thousands.

I wouldn't know about this cheating, I haven't played CoD in a while, but last I did there were no cheaters. There were only people that tried to glitch, but we could handle them no problem.

Me and my friends have a little noob class that we only use as retaliation if the other team is like all using Juggernaut and/or NoobTube. It really shuts them up. Lets them see how much they really do suck when people who have skill use the type of cheap crap they're using, then we go back to our normal classes. Not a fan of CoD, personally despise it for how much press it gets. I mean its not bad, it just didn't do anything new so I think anyone using the words such as 'revolutionary' to describe it generally me off.

I like playing games that go for niches, wolfenstein et goes for team action with a nice level up n reward system, if I want some relaxed teamplay I go tf2, Crysis Wars is for something a bit more open and solo; if I want great realistic tight battles I go for Insurgency Source and then if none of those fit my mood I play a RTS

I just don't see the need for CoD, it's too arcade-y for realism; the maps are too small to make use of snipers, weapons have horrendously strong aim assist so its no fun up close and wondering if you'll hit and then the graphics make my eyes bleed.

Nope, I pre-ordered it for Xbox 360. I prefer the Xbox LIVE system for online play - in my experience, it's more reliable and more robust feature-wise. However, the only reason I feel this way is because I don't mind paying the $4 and change a month for the service. I do realize that there are many who feel that paying for online play is bogus, but I simply don't agree with that sentiment.

Anyway, Modern Warfare 2 looks great no matter what console you play it on - I'm sure we'll all have fun regardless. On that note, please stop the pointless bickering. Obviously people are going to disagree, but arguing so vociferously over what ultimately amounts to a form of leisure doesn't make much sense. Well, I'm not really a CoD man myself. Like some others in this topic I have been tired of FPS for... forever, and I also remember CoD 2 as being the best in the series. CoD2 was quite well done, especially considering when it was released (it was basically a launch title with the 360 in Australia). The set battles were interesting and I even played the multiplayer when I still had a Live account, while having fun planning and executing group tatics using the microphone.

CoD 3 though... it was just awful. The single player gameplay was, well, boring, and the controls were just monsterous. To demonstrate how bad it was I had a sniper rifle in a split screen multiplayer, had an opponent stand next to me so he basically covered the screen, I stayed standing up with him centered in the cross hairs... and 5 shots in a row completely missed him. It was just hell.

I did buy CoD 4 after all the hype it received but... well, it was once again boring for me. I never tried multiplayer, as the single player just was not really grabbing me enough.

Needless to say, I never tried CoD 5. Having the same team that did 3 do another game, I just knew it was not going to be worth the money based on my own tastes.

I'm not really interested in Modern Warfare 2. It just seems like yet another FPS to me without anything to differentiate it. I won't be pre-ordering this, and I likely won't bother buying the thing either.

This though is all personal opinion, and not meant to represent what I think other people should believe. If other people enjoy this game or the series, well, that's great for them. 		2009-10-03 06:30:00

To be honest OmegaSlayer, I think maybe a small group of people might get offended, but for the most part people realize that this is just a game. I've seen several movies where DC was attacked and burned and it never seriously bothered me because, well, it's just a movie. I find it interesting that you would be offended if a game was made where Rome was attacked. Maybe this is an indication of a cultural difference?

I have heard a couple non-gamers complain about CoD games. They never played CoD, yet they made the judgment that those games are too violent and the developers need to respect our veterans. I said something like, "Oh? Well, actually I've played CoD 5 and it was dedicated to the men and women who risked their lives in war." (read the credits at the end of the game) I can't remember if they dedicated CoD 4 or not?

Oh well. I'm definitely looking forward to Modern Warfare 2. Not so much as I was for Uncharted 2, or even Ratchet & Clank: ACIT. But it's on the list 		2009-10-16 18:52:00

No dedicated server support on a PC game is a very bad idea. I mean, it's okay for smaller scale shooters like Left 4 Dead, but for a large-scale game like Call of Duty, forcing this down the throats of us PC gamers will be disastrous.

There's a petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?dedis4mw) that's hit 45,284 signatures as of this post and it's rising. I'm no mathematician and I don't have much business sense, but I think that's a number you probably shouldn't scoff at.

Who else will be getting this for PC? I usually get games like this for PS3 but COD4 is soooooo much better on PC (I have it for both PC and PS3 xD) and so I'm guessing this will be to.

I will be due to the fact that I don't have my PS3 in uni. At least it will look nicer on my PC I suppose, though that is irrelevant.
Oh, and the PC version doesn't have dedicated servers this time around (which was one of the reasons the PC version of COD4 was better). It's lame, but at the end of the day it makes it the same as the console versions... which I've never had a problem with.		2009-11-07 15:48:00

But we won't need stopping power now; which is great. I always felt handicapped in a way. You had to have stopping power as you knew you would come up against people with juggernaught, so if you had a stealth class with say, an MP5, you would still die a lot even if you sneak up behind them, because by the time you ahve started shooting, they turn around and shoot you....		2009-11-07 17:19:00

I'll say this. It's a descent game. I don't get why it has SO much hype! It's a war game... with NEW MAPS AND WEAPONS... and maybe new trophies and "perks". Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing new (wait... new maps...), and no new experience. It looks extremmly unoriginal. I mean look at uncharted 2! The amazing control sceme, the GREAT plot and cutscenes, original gameplay, and amazing multiplayer. I'll bet you that COD:MW2 would get the Game Of The Year Label. Why? It makes people feel like they are a "hardcore gamer". And the media babels it as the "BEST GAME EVER" since you look ba******* while doing it. /rant

But I haven't seen too much of it. I'm just speculating.

PS: For you people that think you are hardcore for playing this, these are the more casual games. The real hardcore games are RPGs and old classics. "Hardcore gamers" go back and play the DC, NES, SNES, and SG games. (I know some people that think they are "hardcore" when they get games like these. I may not be a 'hardcore" gamer, but at least appreciate the oldies. I have never really touched any RPGs other than Pokemon, too.)

Well if you're getting it on PC and don't mind steam, you can pre-download it off of there and so when midnight comes on thursday (the PC release date... 2 days after consoles) it gets activated straight away. Midnight release without leaving the house! Though you do have to download like 12 Gig (at a guess), and have no physical copy obviously. It's what I'm doing anyway. Well, maybe. It looks though to have a brilliant story (yeah i like that controversial stuff. lets kill me some civilians. in seriousness i've heard the story is great), and an even tighter multiplayer experience. The last one had a brilliant story and multiplayer (hence the praise it got. It's deserved) and so people are hyped about this because it's bigger and better. I'm still relatively undecided about Modern Warfare 2 at this point. I was super-hyped for the first one and it wasn't even close to a let down. I'm more interested in the single player campaign as I'm still very much into Uncharted 2's multiplayer at this point. That said, I smell a rental and a quick six hour jaunt through campaign mode.

I'm just more worried about there not being anything new to the scene. Can't say I've heard too much discussion concerning actual advancements - whether they be from a technological or gameplay standpoint - in the franchise.

EDIT: Rediscovered "Spec Ops" mode this morning. Could be worth checking out depending on the length of gameplay offered right there...		2009-11-09 13:04:00

The reason why people think Modern Warfare 2 looks cool is because of all the new spoilers, perks, levels, and options that the game has.
I wouldn't be surprised if Modern Warfare 2 wouldn't get a 10 out of 10 from GI's review (and by the way, GI isn't everything).

P.S. The reason why Uncharted 2 is so good is because Naughty Dog took the ideas of other good games and made them there own. If you want proof, look up GameTrailers Video Reviews Podcast on iTunes and download the Uncharted 2 review. They say it in there. But MW2 will most likely have some of the same problems. After all, they're both sequels.

Completed it about an hour ago. It is EPIC. Some of the set pieces are insane, and while it was very very short (normal difficulty must of been about 7 hours for my first play through. Dying lots in some parts) it was thoroughly enjoyable. Gave online a quick go last night as well which was great. It's great but I'm dying so much in MP. I NEED UAV JAMMER! I also started on hardened and played past burgertown but decided to go down to normal because I died so much. Yeah. I actually think this game is much more balanced though than the last one. The nuke's don't actually happen too often. However, the helicopter is ridiculously overpowerful, and that's the only unbalancing thing in the game. It should only be controlled for half the time I think, then it would maybe be okay.
As for the nuke, to get it you have to call in a drop off, where you then have to pick it up while being fired upon as enemies know where it was dropped off, so it's pretty cool.

You can get it as your 25th kill in a streak. It wont happen often though. I have played for over 5 hours and haven't seen one. Hover jets are da-darned annoying though...

Haven't played multiplayer (going to soon, and tomorrow cause I have off for veterans day) because I was at my dads house and there is no internet, but I was playing the story mode for a few hours and it is awesome.

Played the airline scene, it was necessary to the plot. People freak out over the dumbest things. .

Wow, unbelievably short solo campaign. I just played it for a few hours the first night and discovered when I quit out that I was in Act III of III. turned out I was only a few missions from the end credits. jesus.

I'm sorry but this honestly takes the prize for most ridiculous effing storytelling in a videogame. I thought utilizing a terrorist attack as exploitative entertainment value was stupid (and the final product really is as sleazy as I feared), but I didn't know what was in store for the rest of the game. No spoilers. I'm just saying it was beyond ridiculous. It's like an ultraviolent Tom Clancy saturday morning cartoon. Only stupid.

But that said, it certainly holds up the proud tradition of through-the-roof production value, eye-popping graphics, and absolutely stunning set-pieces. The game doesn't hold up nearly as well the second time through (I've re-played act I and a few missions of act ii), but I will say that the first time through is quite adrenaline-pumping. You can't really put it down because you just have to see what they're going to do next.

Fans of the movie The Rock will particularly enjoy one of the missions.

As for multiplayer, I've put in a couple of hours now. So far I've just found it frustrating and pretty unfun. I hate that you have to build up levels just to gain the privelage of playing different MODES. they just went absolutely buck-wild with the "unlockables", making simple little fundamental things unlockable and making you play, and play some more, and play some more, and then more and a bit more after that. and I think this falls squarely into the category of "unethical game design".

What I at least want to do is unlock the rest of the game modes so I can try capture the flag and some of the other games, but at Level 11, I'm just NOT digging this so far. give me my Left 4 Dead and TF2 instead. I can't imagine I'll be returning to this game's multiplayer much.

As for Spec Ops, I have not tried it yet, but am hugely looking forward to playing some split-screen. Should mention my EPIC disappointment that you can't play split-screen online in the multiplayer.		2009-11-11 11:55:00

The Scar + Scavenger + Holographic sight is SO awesome.

Also, try using this for your killstreaks:

MP isnt working for anyone on my friends list today, so I finally started the campaign. I decided to start on hardened cos that is what it said I should do.

Pretty sexy.

I also did a spec ops thingy. I got 3 stars on the pit first time. I then did the first difficulty on sniper fi and unlocked bravo missions. I then did the snowmobile race and took a few attempts to get 3 stars. I ended up with 1min 07seconds. 2 seconds off IW best time.		2009-11-11 19:49:00

i was home today, and played through the entire campaign first time on Hardened. A bit frustrating, because of cheap enemies, and GRANDE SPAMMING! Personally though, i wasn't that into the story, it was spotty and a lot of go here and set this or save that. Overall i liked it, i just felt it was a bit of a let down and 5 hours for me to beat Hardened? Seriously IW? Now off to multiplayer, gotta get ready for the Gamestop 4v4 torney!2009-11-11 21:08:00

Ah, you are mixing up excellent levels with excellent story my friend. The levels in this game, like you have said, are EPIC. However, the story falls flat on it's face a bit. Many things are TOTALLY unexplained, and situations happen way too fast. Some missions seem irrelevant to what is going on (particularly the one where you start in the water as seen in trailers) and the loading screens do little to explain.

Seriously, stop opening this if you haven't got past the prison like level[SPOILER]The whole thing with Price coming back was awesome at first, but then when I realised nothing was explained in terms of where he's been, why he is there, and why he said 'Good' inside the sub (had to ask on forums about it) it really was very weak.

Your assuming the psn network has lag? I haven't had lag at all, and I've played 7+ hours, with a k/d ratio of 2.4 and a streak of like 21.

And this is the first call of duty I've ever owned lol.

I completely agree. The story is meh. pretty much IW had tons of ideas for awesome things, and shoved them into the game with a weak explanation. Campaign is good, but multiplayer and spec-ops and mutliplayer is EASILY it's strong point.

Ignore the spoiler if you aren't interested in reading my opinion of the game...

Honestly, I was fairly underwhelmed by this iteration of Modern Warfare. My fond memories of the original's single-player are... fond. This felt sloppy; I died countless times throughout the campaign due partly to difficulty, partly to what I feel was sub-optimal design.

Also, has anyone else had issues with orientation in the campaign mode? A friend of mine had the exact same experience. I'm referring to the feeling of never knowing where the enemy fire is coming from combined with not being able to see said enemy when you do figure out where he's hitting you from. I play on a 47" LCD monitor connected via HDMI so this isn't an issue of "ur playin da game in sD, suckerz!1!!l!@".

Then there were some issues regarding the blood layers being "on top" of snow and other visual annoyances. I mean, shouldn't the blood mix in with the snow? Would it be that hard for a developer to say, "Hey, we should really make the blood soak into the terrain rather than letting it pool like the dude was smoked while on a slab of concrete"? It's a minor annoyance (note that I said both "minor" and "annoyance" meaning that I'm being beyond picky) but it's things like this that take me out of the experience. And while I'm being picky, shouldn't the bleeding be consistent? I don't know how many people here are familiar with actual weapons, but bleeding does occur in the instance of a gunshot wound no matter the situation. That said, pooling of some sort should always occur. Do it right, IW.

It's games like Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 that may have ruined gaming for me. Killzone's implementation of a cover system for an FPS has forever spoiled me. It's not a question as to whether or not the developers decide to use one; it's more of a question of why wouldn't you? Do they think that a simple crouch or moving to a prone position is always enough? Hardly.

And the story... well, I don't even need to really say anything. It was ill-conceived and was told without a single cutscene, instead opting for endless mission briefings.

Man, the single player experience has been done so much better in a lot of different places. And I've yet to play multiplayer because I'm terrified of you darned kids and your countless hours of practicing.

Okay, I'm done whining. In short, the game left me unsatisfied. Made me want to play Killzone 2 again though...		2009-11-12 16:08:00

On 'Favela' i walked into a room in one of the buildings - their ENTIRE team was in there shooting out the Windows... I got 6 kills in about 5 seconds with my UMP

A bit more on-topic: I'm inclined to agree with what supersickie was saying. This game's not holding up so well now, after we've had Killzone 2's application of a cover system in an fps. CoD relies on the player taking cover almost constantly. But without any kind of cover system in place, it begins to feel pretty outdated from a control standpoint. And once again we are given a variety of neat gadgets which are almost totally useless except for a couple of brief instances in which we're explicitly told to use them. The campaign is brief and does absolutely nothing in the way of progress for the genre, giving us the same old gameplay with shiny new pictures. The storyline is pushing the boundaries of sanity to say the least. I imagine Modern Warfare 3 being the one where they finally cave in and introduce aliens and/or zombies and/or alien zombies.		2009-11-12 23:31:00

I'll spawn in a hangar, the enemy will have aircraft in the air and just spam our spawn point with bombs, so as soon as I appear, dead - I'll pick the overwatch class to try and send a couple of rockets their way, but sure enough, as soon as I spawn, before I can even get NEAR a window or door, another bomb, dead. Meanwhile this only boosts their killstreaks to ridiculous levels and makes it worse.

The whole game seems to have a massive ADD problem. It's the kid in class who's constantly jumping around, not paying attention, trying to be the center of everyone else's. It reminds me of Fahrenheit 451, when people would turn on their wall-screens and it would just be kaleidoscopic colors to keep their senses stimulated for hours on end so they don't do any thinking. I mean, this is true for a LOT of videogames, but for me, especially so during MW2. I think I'm giving up on the multiplayer, even though I've only logged in about 2.5 hours. Spec Ops I haven't booted up yet, but I'm hopeful, and very relieved it supports split-screen. any word on how that is?		2009-11-13 12:01:00

The whole game seems to have a massive ADD problem. It's the kid in class who's constantly jumping around, not paying attention, trying to be the center of everyone else's. It reminds me of Fahrenheit 451, when people would turn on their wall-screens and it would just be kaleidoscopic colors to keep their senses stimulated for hours on end so they don't do any thinking. I mean, this is true for a LOT of videogames, but for me, especially so during MW2. I think I'm giving up on the multiplayer, even though I've only logged in about 2.5 hours. Spec Ops I haven't booted up yet, but I'm hopeful, and very relieved it supports split-screen. any word on how that is?

Hey guys I have a question regarding weapon camos. They still have them right? Did they add any new camos? I heard about an urban and fall and snow camo but I wanted to be sure lol

Also, can anyone tell me about some of the old perks? Is marty still there? Last stand? They probably are but meh

They are still there, but IW realized that they were cheap. So now you have to die 3-5 times in a row to get them. And even then, you only get them until you get a kill. So nice not having to worry about martyrdom anymore.

@Teebonsey, the Tac insertion is EXTREMLEY useful, if you use it right. In TDM, there is no point. In domination/Capture the Flag/ most objective modes, it's great. You can get right back into the action and, for example, defend the bomb you planted, as oppose to having to run back across the map.		2009-11-13 16:54:00
