Unnoticed Things In LBP
Archive: 248 posts
Many people will not notice the small things that Mm placed in the game, like small secrets features, or accidents. Some things are somewhat pointless and some are nice to know. Here I will try to list how many things there are. Main -Slapping with a pan will make a metallic noise. -Lightly pressing R2 or L2 button will bring up your sackperson's hand, press it harder, and you can make a hand symbol according to the selected emotion. -Pressing L2 with a green puppet will open and close it's mouth. -While hovering a sticker over your sackperson, the camera will zoom in, by then, you can press R1 or L1 button to rotate your sackperson. -A sackperson is about 2 3/8" tall. (8 centimeters) -Moving the sticker removal tool with a jetpack will move you. -If someone is dragging your Sackperson around, slapping them will not pause your Sackperson like normal. -Your Sackperson will move around depending where they are, if your near a wall, your Sackperson will put their hand on it. If there in a small box, they will duck. -Player enhancements will be removed if the wielder is hit by a hazard or a furious Sackperson. -Sackpeople are better at pushing objects rather than pulling them. -Costumes have small text on them sometimes, try to read them! -The Ezio costume from the Assassin's Creed II DLC has hidden blades, use the anger emoticon with your Sackperson to unsheathe them. -Power-ups and some costume pieces will change color according to the Sackperson's chosen colors. -Your sackperson will raise their arms into the air if you jump and hold R1. -The Ape Escape costume's helmet glows. -When using the peacock costume, using the happy emotion with your sackperson raises the feathers. -Some wig pieces in the game change when different headgear is worn. -When you "Try Again", the remaining bits from your sackperson are the color of any sticker you place on them. -The reflection in of the visor of the space suit costume is a picture of the Gardens background. -Talking through a microphone makes your sackperson's mouth move. -Turning your sackperson when they have a paintinator will cause them to turn but the gun will be in the same place. -Some sticker on your sackperson will be on the paintinator. -The red 'devil' skin glows in the dark. If stickered another colour, in the dark only the red colour will show through. -The crown glows bright blue and the label stretches to the ground if you are walking through 'walk-through' glass. -Most 'rare' costumes are labelled 'Made in England' but the littlebigplanet launch day tshirt is labelled 'made in Sweden' because it was made by Swedish company 'Tarsier studios' who made ragdoll kungfu fists of plastic. -When in the walk-through glass, Cole's glove set (The Infamous costume) electricity stretches -Some objects will make sounds when placed in large quantities close together, and other sounds when that same quantity is put in movement. Sponge will make a water sound, metal will make a shaking metallic sound, etc. -Speakers make more than one sound out of one selected option. -Rapid expansion of springs, elastic, etc. Will make a noise. -The sitting skeleton object makes a noise that we can't place. -You can attach switches to the sitting skeleton object. -The color of gas and plasma shots can be changed by selecting it and pressing square. -Selecting a corner with the corner editor tool has short-cuts, push L1 and R1 to quickly jump to the next corner. -The drum object, when hit, will make a noise we don't have. Hitting a larger or smaller drum will make different high's and low's of the same noise. -Backgrounds have different ambients in the background, and they change with the time of day. -Paintballs from the Paintainator have a limited lifetime of 5 seconds. -You can place decorations on connectors and bolts. -Tin foil is in the cardboard section of your pop-it, but it has the properties of metal. -You can place decorations on the Incredibles drill object and power-up items to create spinning objects. -In the tutorials, you can attach switches to the video screen. -The reflection on the dagger object is a picture of the sky. -In create mode, when cutting in, placing, or anything the requires the outline, the smaller the object, the higher the sound, the larger the object, the lower the sound. -The eye decorations from the Horror Pack have a reflection of the Metropolis background. -If the spotlight's radius is set to zero, a flat pane of light appears above it. -If the circular light object on the thin layer is made very small, it floats down slowly rather than falling. If small enough, it may not fall at all. -Different materials look different if set on fire. -You can hear the sprung bolt in the chili object. -Whilst in create mode, a non-hovering sack person can slap a hovering sack person out of hover mode. Also, if you hold in X while hovering, you boost like a jetpack. -The more you zoom out in create mode the faster you can move yourself and other things. -Pressing R2 or L2 while browsing levels will bring up statistics. -Certain search options are available, such as putting @Authorname will search for creators. -Pressing square in some areas, while viewing a level, will change it, such as cycling different kinds of high scores or photos. -There is a "Find more like this" option while viewing levels. -Pressing square while browsing items or stickers will bring up options, by then, pressing R1 will bring up more options, and you can organize things by theme, newest, and category. -Music can be streamed from the hard drive through access of the start menu. -While the game is loading, you can make the symbols move by pressing X. -Pressing square while taking a picture will cut the timer and take the picture instantly. -If you miss an invitation, you can find a list of them in the LBP Messages area of your start menu. -Shrinking the camera radius will allow you to see small details. -Adding a guest player to the game will assign a funny name such as "your name" 's best fwend or "your name" 's gold fish. -When in the pod, it appears as if your in space, but you actually in a room. -Your pod can be swung by running side to side. -Sticker switches will glow green and will make a positive noise when the right sticker or decoration is hovered over the sticker switch area. The opposite will happen with the wrong sticker. -The pod analog sticks on the controller squeak. -Water not only effects objects, but decorations too, they will be slowed by it. -You can see outside you pod in a few occasions, when you enter a level, or when you start the game with a new account, it will introduce you to your pod after the introduction level, the game camera will go around the pod and also show you unseen parts of the room. -Small things of text are hidden all-throughout the game like on stickers, clothes, objects, and decorations, even the info moon! The info moon seems to have some kind of stories on it, to get better detail, have one player use the pod to get closer, and another to take a picture. -Some things such as costumes or materials will have reflections on them, they do change no matter what location you are at. (Ex. taxi metal material has a Metropolis themed reflection, but if you put the material in another background, it will not change.) -Choosing you pop-it color will not only effect power-ups, costumes, and menus, but also the paint splats on the info moon and maybe some other things. -One of the city skyline stickers has a PS3 as a building. -The Pod is shown once in a near 360 degree rotation in the beginning of the game after the intro. -The stars and other objects hanging from the roof of the room will swing slowly. -If you set a limited amount of ammo for the paintinator, the paint cartridge depletes as you fire! -Sackpeople fall faster than paint bullets. -The roller-skate object (and the associated wheel) Are labelled 'plagachef' as a reference to a slurred 'play create share' by Mark Healey in an interview. -The dog-tag decoration is labelled 'Mr Ninya - Ultimate Hard Nut'. -The blue 'Knights head' sticker from the Gardens is the logo of Rex aka Rexbox who works at Mm. -The pink and blue head with beard and glasses sticker is Rex's self portrait. -The teabag from the MGS pack has a sackperson on it's label. -Point bubbles inner color is the same as your player color. If you have more than one player, the closet players colors will be shown. -When you press the down directional button on the pod computer, the left stick moves up. -The Collector is hidden in every chapter. -Evil duck in 'The Mines' at the bottom of a fire pit's wall. -In the Creator Kit 1, the Queen can be found hanging from a cloud in the player enhancement remover level. -In the last level, there is a rusted structure on the elevator ride up that is shaped like the Mm logo. -Even though Ze Dude is kidnapped by the collector, he appears later in levels. -In the Introduction level credited John is in a popit because it was he who wrote most of the code for it. -PSN user LittleXim has hearted some of the best levels on LBP. -Search LogicPack to get some of the best tutorials about logic! -Funny quote from LittleBigPlanet.com: General fixes, polishing and improvements. Fixed “Wheel of death” bug where Sackboy could get stuck endlessly respawning out of a checkpoint. Fixed stretch Sackboy arms. General server improvements and optimisation. Fixed lights so they don’t forget their colour. If anything I can say this cab is rare. Improved Online multiplayer level selection. And I yelled to the cabbie ‘Yo homes smell ya later’ I looked at my kingdom, was finally there, To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air… Fixed material properties glitch. -When you finish a level and rate it, go to the level stats and you may be able to see an area that says "My Rating:" for a moment. Locked Stickers/Decorations/Objects/Materials: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=23748-The-Complete-Guide-to-Secret-Materials-and-Stickers Mm Level Magic -Mm can use pink text in there speech bubbles. -Mm has used layer manipulation in their introduction level. -Used unreproducible text in introduction level. -In the introduction level, there is a tracking light that is unreproducible with the current tools. I will no longer update this list. | 2009-09-27 03:42:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Interface: -Certain search options are available, such as putting @Authorname will search for creators. (Not sure.) Anybody know of other small details in the game? Yeah, the @Authorname thing works and another one is that the pod can swing, not too many people know about that. | 2009-09-27 03:47:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |

I don't know if you would count this but in every chapter (I think) the collecter is hidden somewhere. | 2009-09-27 04:28:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |
Interface: -Pressing R2 or L2 while browsing levels will bring up statistics. Fixed, R1 and L1 change the page. | 2009-09-27 04:33:00 Author: BSprague Posts: 2325 |
Just thought of another one. Holding down 'try again' and pressing start in the middle of it will make sackboy freeze in that position untill you press circle or x. | 2009-09-27 04:39:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |
Most of these are pretty obvious, it's not as if they are secrets... But yeah I enjoy seeing some of these little details too. | 2009-09-27 05:12:00 Author: TheFirstAvenger Posts: 787 |
nice list! It seems to me that no one notices or cares about how every sackperson has a predetermined stuffing "try again" color, and you better believe it! It not their poppit color or anything.. Its really wierd... I think its chosen at random. I have yellow stuffing, and I did experiments with four of my friends, who had black, black, red, and white | 2009-09-27 05:22:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |

That's more of a glitch, not something that Mm added in to the game. True... There's a hidden evil duck in 'the mines' at the bottom of a fire pit stuck on the wall for no reason at all. Also, change The Collector is hidden in every level. to The Collector is hidden in every chapter apart from the gardens. | 2009-09-27 07:18:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |

Changed. There's a duck at the bottom of a fire pit? That's hilarious, I would like to know more of these Easter eggs. EDIT: Added something under characters. I may add changing colors of gas and plasma too. | 2009-09-27 07:21:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
There's a kind of text in the intro level (when the names pop up) that isn't available in create mode for normal LBP users which can't be stickered or unstickered. They must have planned to add this to the game but took it out. EDIT: The evil duck thing was the duck sticker but with an evil mouth (and possibly blood, I can't fully remember) in the corner of an area where a mine cart goes over tracks and you can fall down onto fire. | 2009-09-27 07:29:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |

The text may be an object, like the hammer or can object, specifically made just for this area. I've just tested it and the sticker goes right through to the object behind which means is isn't part of the LBP in-game physics at all. I'll see if I can get a photo of the duck, it might be difficult but I'll try. | 2009-09-27 07:42:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |

I'll see if I can get a photo of the duck, it might be difficult but I'll try. We don't need a photo of a duck. But I suppose it would be nice. And I just remembered the collector does appear in the Gardens. | 2009-09-27 07:46:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
It was impossible to get a good picture but I know where it is now, it's at the part where you pull the switch to bring down the bridge. Instead just jump straight down into the pit and it has an evil looking face on its beak. | 2009-09-27 07:49:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |

Instead just jump straight down into the pit and it has an evil looking face on its beak. Is it a different sticker that we don't have? Or did Mm just place a few stickers over it? I need to add where you can find the queen in the Creator Kit on the jetpack level... EDIT: I'm going to add the "Find more like this" option that is found while viewing a level. It's a good feature, and I don't think many people use it. | 2009-09-27 07:58:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
in 1 of the survival levels(the 1 where you go through gaps that have a score bubble(or 2)& try not to get killed by the gas)theres a red circle sticker below the scoreboard, you can photo it but otherwise you cant see it | 2009-09-27 08:15:00 Author: lifeiscrapislife Posts: 396 |

The Collector is hidden in every chapter apart from the gardens. Skate to Victory, climbing up through the castle. One of the Humptys that appears at a window is actually the collector I knew everything on that list apart from the evil duck...I'll have to look out for that one. | 2009-09-27 11:44:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |

I forgot about that one. Is it a different sticker that we don't have? Or did Mm just place a few stickers over it? It's the yellow duck sticker with a mouth sticker on its beak. New one: MM have certain stickers in their levels that aren't available to everyone else from the poppit (although they can be taken with the sticker remover). Two examples of these are the hammer and sickle in the first wilderness level, and the bullet holes in the mines. EDIT: Another one is the music hidden in the tutorial levels called 'My Advice'. | 2009-09-27 17:09:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |
There is also an ice cream van sticker in then intro level from the demo that I don't think we have... | 2009-09-27 17:35:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
-The sitting skeleton object makes a noise that we can't place. ?? sorry no idea what the sitting skeleton object is | 2009-09-27 17:41:00 Author: springs86 Posts: 785 |

There are a lot of hidden stickers in LBP, even decorations, and a object. There's a level that shows some of these hidden items. I think it was called *Hidden Stickers*(Stars included). This level doesn't show the hidden object by the way. ?? sorry no idea what the sitting skeleton object is It's the item from the wedding theme. EDIT: I added something under interface. | 2009-09-27 18:39:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
There's a monkey's face sticker hidden on the body of the Flamingo Object. | 2009-09-27 19:38:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Isn't there a hidden R1 button too? If there is, does anyone know where it is? | 2010-02-07 15:14:00 Author: FocusRSdude Posts: 145 |
Bumpety Bump! 4 and a bit months... I think you can get that r1 sticker in the hidden stickers level.... | 2010-02-07 15:50:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
oh that makes sense! my mind thinking about which story level and getting it there not in the level where someone had found it for me... EDIT: I see how i bumped it... I was linked here by another post... and was thinking it was recent. | 2010-02-07 15:59:00 Author: FocusRSdude Posts: 145 |

anyone else notice that since the update sticker switches now flash green or red to show that the sticker is right or wrong before you place it? this totally ruins sticker based puzzles such as the one in the metropolis level where you had to put the right skyscraper stickers on the right pieces of cardboard to lower the beam with the prize bubbles on as you no longer after think about it by comparing the shape of the stickers to the card and thus removed the fun of it | 2010-02-08 00:30:00 Author: cthulhu82 Posts: 211 |
Add the music streaming from the hard drive thing, lol! I cant believe I was the only one who didn't know about that. ...Or maybe I was... which would just be depressing lol. | 2010-02-08 06:21:00 Author: Duffluc Posts: 402 |
here's a good one...some decorations that you put on sackboy that are all wavy in the air (like the blue snakish tongue from monster pack) when submerged in water stay pretty still and look pretty cool, like fins which is how one of my sackboys is right now...makes me enjoy water even more oh and pressing X while your game is loading makes all those icons bounce | 2010-02-08 07:43:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Alright, added a few things. | 2010-02-08 21:45:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Did you know that the drum object makes a special sound when it gets hit? It's a sound that you can't get anyway else, and the bigger the drum, the deeper the sound. I had something else, but I forgot it. | 2010-02-09 21:45:00 Author: KlawwTheClown Posts: 1106 |

Lots of MM obkjects make sounds we can't recreate on impact: golfballs and basketballs as two examples. | 2010-02-09 21:51:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |
I don't know if anyone pointed that one out, but I found out something for the Character. If you stand close to a wall(your sackboy puts his hand on it) and then you press L2-R2 to move his arm and it's in a weird position. | 2010-02-21 02:21:00 Author: Chump Posts: 1712 |
When you move the right analog stick while at the pod menu it makes a weird noise. Its pretty quiet, so I just recently noticed it. | 2010-02-21 17:53:00 Author: RottenAvocado Posts: 319 |
Rottenavacado, thats a squeaking noise from the pod controller sticks. Here's some: - Sackboy makes an audible "gasp" for breath when he surfaces after diving -sacks cannot suffer from "the bends" . - Bounce high enough on the skull teeth in the POTC level "Cursed Bay" and you can see their dark matter - In terms of impact collision and how the game recognises sackboy's presence, he seems to occupy a 2x2 small grid square. Test this by making a hole in some material that size, he fit's in fine, though may bend over. Shrink it slighty or change it's shape even slightly and it will kill sackboy when he enters it. | 2010-02-21 18:06:00 Author: croissantbuncake Posts: 572 |
ooooh, i got loads XD ill just put ones i can remember for now though - Pressing square whilst taking a picture will cut the timer You can use rockets as smoke effects if you glue them down if you fly all the way to the top of the level in the tetherless jetoack tutorial (creator pack 1), you find the queen on the wedding level, when you start, run left. you can jump over the candles and escape the level on dangerous decent, if you go far right and jump. you can slip down the levels. ill post more when i think of them | 2010-02-21 18:12:00 Author: samalot Posts: 591 |
one of your arms (the right one i think. might have to correct me on that) can be moved whilst you run. your other arm stops you if moved. it's a pretty small thing. | 2010-02-21 18:21:00 Author: trip090 Posts: 1562 |
a small fact which any sackboy should know XD corner jumping, you probably know that it is.... standing on an objects sharp corner will make sackboy dance.... if you then jump you go extra high for those that need more help a video i made ages ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GBszTavaMM | 2010-02-21 18:38:00 Author: samalot Posts: 591 |

use the photo taking tool, put it as far as possible, out of sight and take the photo you can get a picture of things you cant see | 2010-02-21 19:46:00 Author: samalot Posts: 591 |

I'm sorry for adding things like glitches or level creation technicalities. But this is more of a list for small things that kinda seem hidden in the game intentionally (or kind of accidentally), such as options you can use in menus or creation tricks. well if you feel so strongly about it maybe you could just make a glitches category just to seperate it, maybe then you could still add some interesting ones and they wouldnt get caught in the mix | 2010-02-22 03:59:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |

a collection of trivia, some straight from spaff , some from the lbp guide sorry if there not strictly in the game, but most are fun little facts running side to side in the pod makes it rock What is Alex Evan's favourite costume that was never used? Katamari Damacy Prince Costume Did you know that part of the littlebigplanet pitch to sony involved Alex jamming with Phil Harrison on a Drum Machine he'd coded into the yellow head demo “Jim, our UI Designer, is colour-blind, and the probable cause of all the pink” (from mm website, we should record these, so we dont forget them XD ) what is Alexs Evan's middle name? John Boom town has the most prizes - 75 The english gardens theme is based on mm's co-lead designer, Marcos The bluebells in the gardens theme are true english ones and not spanish - (bit random but in the lbp guide ) The mines has 6931 physics convexes in it (another from the guide, not sure what a physics convex is though ) Now for some of my own : Missing out on the bonus levels in the goty edition ? not anymore, anyone can access them, for full info go here http://forums.littlebigworkshop.com/lbp/board/message?board.id=pod&message.id=94105&query.id=84109#M94105 For lbp veterans like myself you might be able to remember that on the story levels, 2 plays KEPT appearing in the screenshots (cant remember psn). and this became very noticable. well, this was a trick where you set your ps3 date to 2099 and your uploaded screenshots always stay ontop XD - not sure if this still works though. | 2010-02-22 20:48:00 Author: samalot Posts: 591 |

doesn't the MGS background have no background noise? apparently, and i haven't tested this, it copies the noise of the last background you had. sounds cool but you might want to check it. i heard it somewhere. can't remember where though. | 2010-03-10 21:25:00 Author: trip090 Posts: 1562 |

Not anymore with the last updates. The MGS, monster, and history background all have unique background noises now. MGS is a wind with faint explosions. Monster Cave is wind too, with some bugs and bats depending on the time of day. History is a strong eerie wind. POTC doesn't have sound, maybe it will come in an update. | 2010-03-11 02:32:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
-Knife glitch; I don't really know what this is? a glitch which sucks the player towards the knife like a tractor beam. put it behind a wall and it won't kill sackboy. | 2010-03-11 06:26:00 Author: trip090 Posts: 1562 |
That or the one that lets you make harmless knives. Another one is the Ezio gloves reveal their hidden blades when you make sackboy angry. Maybe this could be a link to similar built in animations in future costumes? Also, the knife glitch is just where the knife's handle is solid and the blade is... pass - through - able. You can stick it in any object, and it wont hurt sackboy either. | 2010-03-11 15:20:00 Author: Weretigr Posts: 2105 |
Also, the knife glitch is just where the knife's handle is solid and the blade is... pass - through - able. You can stick it in any object, and it wont hurt sackboy either. actually thats not the knife glitch that's a glitch for most materials that you can pass thru...the REAL knife glitch is this weird glitch that pulls sackboy towards the blade in some weird psychic thing which creators put obstacles in front of to block you from dyin | 2010-03-12 00:16:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |

The knife glitch is attaching it to DM with a stiff rod at speed 0.1 creates a tractor beam type effect, some levels hide it behind walls to make you be pushed/pulled Also, force a regular bolt to spin at a fast speed (eg. attach a rocket to it) and it will squeak and creak | 2010-03-12 19:43:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |

Hope it's okay to bump this, this is such a good thread. Though I have one thing- The sitting skeleton sound IS dying scream #1, probably just tweaked a bit. Not sure if that's the grammatically correct name of it, but that's it. If you compare the two, they are similar enough to suggest tweaking of the speaker on the skeleton. | 2010-03-27 04:25:00 Author: firstar Posts: 47 |

Could you be more specific? I'm not sure what you mean. I think that means that your arm disappears as it goes up the shirt arms. On the level meerkat kingdom there is a material that looks like polyester, BUT acts like dissolve on some places Really??!? i thought they were demitted... don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet (probably have) but if your reassign your controller to, say, 3 then 4 then 7 then 2, etc. and press L1 every time a new sackboy spawns, it calls them funny things. i'll use my name as an example. there are names such as trip090's evil twin, trip090's secret crush, and the weirdest trip090's goldfish. they're funny little things. | 2010-04-06 10:25:00 Author: trip090 Posts: 1562 |

You must place a block of electrified anything. Then drop on it from above, right before you hit the electricity rewind then fastforward, If timed right you'll be neon skeleton. "Mediaval Wallpaper" "sponge" from the history pack is another example. It's ungrabbable and looks like cardboard. I haven't tested it, but I'm sure it acts like cardboard too. Not sure if they've been mentioned earlier, heres some paintinator things i noticed turning sackboy ( the one where he turns 90 degrees) when he has a paintinator will cause him to turn but the gun will be in the same place. If your sackperson has a lot of stickers on (especially large ones), some may also be on the gun. sackboy falls faster than paint bullets (jump down from a height with the gun, and shoot down, he'll get some paint on him) | 2010-06-24 19:24:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |

If stickered another colour, in the dark only the red colour will show through -The crown glows bright blue and the label stretches to the ground if you are walking through 'walk-through' glass -The roller-skate object (and the associated wheel) Are labelled 'plagachef' as a reference to a slurred 'play create share' by Mark Healey in an interview. -The dog-tag decoration is labelled 'Mr Ninya - Ultimate Hard Nut' -If the spotlight's radius is set to zero, a flat pane of light appears above it -If the circular light object on the thin layer is made very small, it floats down slowly rather than falling -Different materials look different if set on fire -Most 'rare' costumes are labelled 'Made in England' but the littlebigplanet launch day tshirt is labelled 'made in Sweden' because it was made by Swedish company 'Tarsier studios' who made ragdoll kungfu fists of plastic -The blue 'Knights head' sticker from the Gardens is the logo of Rex aka Rexbox who works at Mm | 2010-06-25 13:00:00 Author: chimpskylark Posts: 335 |
Also the pink and blue head with beard and glasses sticker is Rex's self portrait. In the Introduction level John is in a popit because it was he who wrote most of the code for it. The teabag from the MGS pack has a sackboy on it's label. as for LBP2, the washing up liquid bottle object is labelled LBP liquid and is printed with one of the hidden stickers from LBP1. | 2010-06-25 13:22:00 Author: croissantbuncake Posts: 572 |

-point bubbles inner colour is the same as ur player colour. When playing multiplayer the point take the colour of the nearest sackperson. When you press the down directional button on the pod computer, the Left stick moves up. If you turn on a second controller (eg. to do a 2x) who isnt guest, and then turn it off with prize bubbles in view (that 2nd player doesnt have), they will still have a picture on after they leave, and when a player who has them collects them it acts like a normal prize bubble except the energy? (dont know how else to describe it, the middle colour that is normally popit colour) will be grey. And I thought 'No forget it' Yo homes to Bel Air! EDIT: to do with the hover one, Zooming outwards on the camera also causes you to go faster. | 2010-06-26 14:23:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |
While in create mode, a non-hovering sack person can slap a hovering sack person out of hover mode. Also, if you hold in X while hovering, you boost as with a jetpack. | 2010-06-26 16:15:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |

When you move the right analog stick while using the pod computer, it makes a squeaking noise. adding to this NO matter what buttons you press on your controller....sackboy only hits the X and O buttons....nothing more or less and moving both sticks make sackboy mimic them to almost syncro-perfection | 2010-08-10 03:08:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
When you move the right analog stick while using the pod computer, it makes a squeaking noise. When you move the right analog stick while at the pod menu it makes a weird noise. Its pretty quiet, so I just recently noticed it. Moving the analogues on the pod controller will make them squeak quietly. Sitting skeleton is in from the Wedding I think? It's bronzish brown and looks a bit like a creepy monkey. and sound objects like the vehicle engines change from accelerating (putting the bar to the right of the centre) and reversing (to the left of the centre). I think the Truck engine one even makes the reversing beep noises. | 2010-08-10 17:55:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |

@Pantyer: Regarding johnee in the intro level, that's not him. It is Johnny, the Molecule responsible for much of the coding behind the popit, hence the pink outline (so it will appear as if he is in a popit menu). As far as I know, johnee (creator of Warzone and now Mm level designer) has yet to get a spot in the intro level. | 2010-08-11 15:29:00 Author: croissantbuncake Posts: 572 |

How could you forget this one: When your sackperson goes underwater, he makes a "holding breath" sort of sound. When he comes up from the water, he does a short gasp for air. You can see this on the left stick of your pod. Get on your pod and hold the left joystick in a circle, when you press either X or O your hand comes of but you can still move the stick. Also for the paintinator, it can splatter up to 5 small grid squares. Try it: Make small grid sized dissolve squares and glue them together. Then when you shoot them it can affect different squares than just one. | 2010-08-15 02:25:00 Author: Emogotsaone Posts: 1030 |
There's some kinda trick that makes you spin the paintinator faster. Hold the right analog stick in an up-left direction, snap it down to the down-right direction, and start spinning. It might take a few tries, but when you do it, Sackboy starts spinning his arm and head really fast. | 2010-08-16 01:29:00 Author: KlawwTheClown Posts: 1106 |

Here's some tips and things I've discovered regarding Sackboy costume making. Tip #1: Brown Felt is the least textured and least light reflective skin material sackboy has. It's great for any costumes where you need a black skin under a hood (eg. Death costumes etc.) When stickered entirely black and placed in a level with the lighting all the way down and darkness all the way up, sackboy virtually all but disappears. Tip #2 Even though he comes almost completely to a stop when placing stickers on sackboy, he still tend s to move around with your six-axis controller a bit. This can be useful sometimes, but if you want him to be very still then do the following. Without any stickers selected, hit L3 (push down on your left analogue stick) to isolate sackboys body movement separate from his head (what I refer to as dance mode). You will notice that even though sackboys body is free to move, his head stays releatively locked in place looking straight ahead. Now open up your sticker section in your popit, select your sticker... and stick away! This also works in side and back views. To do the same for the body, simply press L3 again and it will switch from his head to his body. Note that as soon as you press undo/rewind, sackboy will become unlocked and able to move freely again, so if you make a mistake stickering then you will need to exit your sticker mode and re-lock him into dance mode. Hope this helps any fellow costume freaks out there! | 2010-08-21 20:45:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |

I haven't looked through all the posts, so this might already be in there somewhere but here goes. The e drum hi hat has an empty sound in it. Tweak the sound with the d-pad and go to the right 3 or 4 ticks until you don't hear anything (it's where it switches between two different sound effects). Stick it on dissolve material or an object that will be demitted and set it to "on destruction" and it will remove the gassy disappearing sound. Stick it on an object and set it to "on impact" and the object won't make a noise when it hits things (especially useful for glass rails that people sometimes add to vehicles to keep them upright). | 2010-08-22 19:19:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |

That destruction one might come in useful. As for materials which don't make an impact noise, you can also use cow-glitched lava. There's a sample for all story materials in my level. | 2010-08-22 19:27:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
...cow-glitched lava... You mean material glitched lava? I've been using that for some applications, but I needed a glass flipper for my monocycle (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=33647-Monocycle) (any other material created way too much drag) with actual glass properties so I had to deal with the glass sound until oLMCo showed me the empty sound. Also, this might fall under the realm of glitches, but if you crush the skateboard, you can keep its wheels separately: they're different from the roller skate wheels in that it looks like two side-by-side wheels (dualies) even though it's just a one layer object. I like to use 'em in single layer cars. | 2010-08-22 19:51:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |

I figure most people probably already know about it, but decoration distortion seems worth mentioning. Make a deco really small and then expand the object it's on and you'll find that its depth (Z axis) has stayed the same even though it's bigger in the X,Y axes. It can be used to make decos pop out more or less than they should. For example, in Kiminski's "Lara Cloth: Tomb Raider - Helgardh" (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=21790-Lara-Cloth-Tomb-Raider-Helgardh&highlight=helgardh) level, the spinning acrobat poles were made by making a rusty nail tip deco really big and then shrinking the object: the nail still sticks out as far as when it was big, but it's smaller around--perfect acrobatic pole. I've also used it with some of the mgs armor plates and other decos that were too deep for what I was going for. Another type of decoration distortion happens when you put them on the top of the underminer's drill object: for some reason, they stretch out really far into the Z axis once you unpause. That's how I made the propeller for the little helicopter I used in my latest mech level (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=27374-Most-Advanced-Bipedal-Mech-in-LBP-VT-5A-Lightning-Now-with-Prize). | 2010-08-26 04:38:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |

pretty much...since you need to survive that level if you want to get the ACE everything trophy yeah but what i mean is that it's impossible to ace it the FIRST time, you HAVE to try a second time, but i will check that soon | 2010-09-05 02:03:00 Author: >er. Posts: 785 |

Great list warlord! I read through the list and don't remember seeing this and I apologize if this wouldn't fit in your list but for create you could add how if you make the spotlight light bigger you can see a code written on it. | 2010-09-05 22:41:00 Author: Dragonvarsity Posts: 5208 |
You can get the Paintball Splats from the Paintinator Paint impacts. Use the sticker editor tool. I dunno if you already said this, its pretty cool imo. :SH: | 2010-09-05 22:45:00 Author: ThePineapplizer Posts: 769 |
If you have no friends on your friends list and go to the info moon, and click "Friends" it says "You don't have any friends " I thought the added sad face was pretty funny | 2010-09-07 01:02:00 Author: Pantyer2 Posts: 652 |
It's probably already been mentioned but if you bring in a gest controller, it resets the narration on certain things in the game, perfect for when you need your daily (or hourly depending on presricption) dosage of Stephen Fry! | 2010-09-07 15:22:00 Author: croissantbuncake Posts: 572 |

OR if you don't wanna go through that hassle you can always put them back up in the start menu | 2010-09-07 18:41:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |

The Sitting Skeleton sound effect: You CAN use it in create mode and it can be triggered. Place a switch on the object and you will be able to trigger the Skeleton's scary sound - but only at EVERY OTHER trigger signal. Odd, but true. | 2010-09-12 18:34:00 Author: Nakatsu Hime Posts: 59 |
I noticed with pistons, if you place the pop-it over the connection part you can move the piston and it resets the lenght to when you place it (one that is attached already). But I also noticed...but could not recreate where you can select the piston hold a direction and it will cycle through its pattern. I had it working 100% on a level, but the next day it did not work again. | 2010-09-17 03:30:00 Author: celsus Posts: 822 |
In one o the gardens levels where you have to sticker a person, keep on running and a beaver will pop up and say something like "you cannot pass without the king". | 2010-09-19 00:18:00 Author: Unknown User |
The Seated Skeleton is grabbable- if you put a grab switch on it, attach said grab switch to said skeleton, then grab said skeleton, it will make it's creepy laugh sound. Also, when your putting stickers on your sackboy, he stands still! When your sackboy's standing still, and you zoom in, you can see his upper lip twitch slightly every second or so. | 2010-09-19 17:47:00 Author: Stoicrow Posts: 276 |
When your sackboy's standing still, and you zoom in, you can see his upper lip twitch slightly every second or so. Are you sure that's not because you have a mic connected and a few sounds pass through it, making the sackboy move its "lips" or whatever it has. ) a bit? Well anywho. -The LittleBIGPlanet logo at the end of the 1st level is in the 3D layers. - The Dragon mask can loose its eyes if shaken enough, this is also true for Screaming mantis arms' Sorrow and Psycho Mantis dolls, shacke the body enough and they'll dissapear. | 2010-09-19 18:30:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

Not sure if this should go in this thread or not, but the Black Pop-it was originally available in the customizing portion of your pop-it. Just watch the customizing cutscene again. Also, watching the pod intro while not in your pod is funny. An arrow points to the middle of nowhere saying "This is your pod controller..." | 2010-09-20 01:27:00 Author: KlawwTheClown Posts: 1106 |
- The Dragon mask can loose its eyes if shaken enough, this is also true for Screaming mantis arms' Sorrow and Psycho Mantis dolls, shacke the body enough and they'll dissapear. Interesting. Do they stay gone or do they come back eventually? Can you capture the costume with them disappeared and then change into that costume without them coming back? | 2010-09-20 02:31:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
Hey everyone, sorry for not updating this list for a little while, I'll try when I get a good chance. When it's updated I'll make a post. | 2010-09-20 02:36:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Interesting. Do they stay gone or do they come back eventually? Can you capture the costume with them disappeared and then change into that costume without them coming back? you have me thinking now...since mantis arms would be awesome if you could permanently remove the dolls for that costume only (equipping them again to FIX the bug) | 2010-09-20 02:37:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
When grabbing material if you press L2 or R2 you will stop grabbing. | 2010-09-20 05:17:00 Author: waD_Delma Posts: 282 |

I too agree Screaming Mantis' arms would be cooler w/out the Sorrow and Psycho Mantis doll, so I tried various ways, but sems they always return. :/ Same with the Dragon's eyes, they return always, none of these changes can be made permanent. (By regular means of course, there's always hacking or editing the code of course, and I'm not sure if even like that its possible to do so. ) | 2010-09-20 08:59:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Just found out while messing in create that the rocket cheetahs front leg got the properties of metal. And if you pick it up and then drop it it sounds like metal | 2010-09-20 20:13:00 Author: Alec Posts: 3871 |

Just found this out today. If you're wearing the Green Sock Puppet item, and you hold down L2 half way, the sock puppet will keep it's mouth closed. If you push it all the way, the puppet will open it's mouth. I thought this was pretty cool, and I don't know anyone who knew of this. | 2010-09-26 08:12:00 Author: Unknown User |

This is awesome! I really like the story mode ones. But when the Collector tries to get Ze Dude, doesn't he drop him after you exit the lift? I still haven't seen the Collector in the Savannah; I only just saw him in-costume during Skate To Victory. | 2010-11-28 01:20:00 Author: Number7Million Posts: 248 |
