heres my problem, i want to emit something ONCE when i get in the range of a sensor. i then want it to disappear when im out of range of the sensor. also, is there any way to make a jetpack activate only when im in the same layer as it? | 2009-09-26 20:11:00 Author: Unknown User |
heres my problem, i want to emit something ONCE when i get in the range of a sensor. i then want it to disappear when im out of range of the sensor. There is a way, and it's called demitting. It's pretty advanced, but the basic idea is to move the emitter out of and into range by putting it on a piston. There's a thread which I'll link to in a minute. Here we go: Demitters, Remitters, and Dissolve Anything (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=11861) It'll take a bit of logic knowledge to be able to purpose it to your needs. Or you can ask nicely and hope that someone will make it for you. also, is there any way to make a jetpack activate only when im in the same layer as it? There are a couple of ways to do this: Put an invisible layer between the layers so that it doesn't register. Downfall - you can't planeshift between the layers then. You can put the jetpack powerup on a piston that drops down from above [or pops up from below], and trigger is using a searchlight from the MGS pack. | 2009-09-26 20:18:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |

There is a simple way to do that... Attach the object with the emitter (with the stuff emitted at once to 1 and life time to infinite) with a piston (make sure is on the thin layer) to a tiny base of dark matter (below the floor and also in the thin layer) with a mag. key, the object w/ the emitter must have a mag. switch set to one-shot for the emitter, put another mag. key in the place (of a wall) you want the emitter to appear and emit, this place will be the piston max. length and the min. length must be 0, make it move very fast, put a sensor switch set to directional for the piston. Yay! you did it! (with my help) :hero: Good luck! Also, you can make the object w/ the emitter small and make the piston invisible. There you go! | 2009-09-26 21:44:00 Author: fatman689 Posts: 54 |
