Just saw the first episode! I wasn't going to watch it, but they were really pushing to get the LOST fans to start watching it so I couldn't help but go for it
I thought it was a good premiere, and I'm excited to see where it goes. Not gonna be nearly as good as LOST though I don't think, largely because I didn't think the acting was outstanding.

But yeh, I'll be watching it!

Okay, so here's the thing. This might sound kinda stupid, but I never saw the first 17 minutes of the show until now.
We recorded it from T.V., and my dad seemed to think we'd only missed a couple minutes - but yeah, I found out that we missed 17 minutes. Maybe our computer blacked out for the first 17 minutes

Anyways, after seeing the first 17 minutes I still agree with most of what I said, but I really liked the opening, so yeah I'm a bit more hopeful about it now and definitely think it's worth watching!

Great episode 2! I'm still liking it, although I'm also still finding some characters a little weak.

*Episode 2 discussion*

The title was really interesting - "White to Play". I didn't even realize what it meant until I listened to "The FlashForwardCast with Jay and Jack". If you remember, they found a white chess piece in the room D. Gibbons explosified.
So 'white to play' is referring to D. Gibbons as white in a chess game, making the first move.
What's most interesting about that is how white is usually associated with 'good' rather than 'evil'. So is D. Gibbons good? Or are the writers reversing the colours - and if they are, what does that mean?
Just some symbolism I found interesting.

Also, gotta say, either Olivia has to STOP being so open, or Mark has to open up about his drinking problem. Personally I think Mark should open up, seeing as Olivia has.

Another really cool theory I heard - the FBI lady who is pregnant in the future: maybe she was impregnated during the blackout? The tummy looked to be about right for 6 months, so that would make sense and be pretty intriguing.

All in all, the show is definitely shaping up - I'd like to see it improve more though.

Loving this so far. Wasn't sure where they'd go after the blackout happened, but its becoming quite interesting. Don't think episode 2 was as good as the first, but I'm just waiting for Domonic Monaghan to arrive.

Already am doing. I take it you listen to their Lost podcast too?

Finally, a fellow Jay and Jack fan!

Do you go on their message board at all?

Great show. I prefer series like this over movies. It makes me all the more disappointed I never ever saw an episode of Lost. Anyone care to give me a run down of what happened in Lost?
Also shouldn't we be using spoiler tags

No, I don't care to give you a rundown. Start watching all five seasons right now!!!

Seriously now, I got at least 4 other people to do it, you can do it too
It'll be worth it, trust me!

Omg, Lost is definitely my favorite show, with 24 right behind it. I think this show can run up in third place, as it has grabbed me in both episodes.

Shall I be the first one to start off with the spoilers?

Does anyone have a slight clue as to who the male D. Gibbon's is? They said that it was the guy seen through the camera at the stadium, but I can't be sure.

Why would that one guy set up his hideout inside the toy factory? I mean, it should probably have been a little less suspicious than it already is - an abandoned building should have been noticed, especially when nobody uses it anymore...

For some reason, I don't think (I forgot Mark's partners name) is going to die. We already saw that police lady die, after seeing nothing in the blackout, but something tells me Mark's partner won't die

Also, I have the slight feeling one of our main characters that are on the good side could help be behind all this...

Overall, great show, I look forward to watching it again

And on Hilightnote's comments, I also feel the actors weren't doing that good. Sure I knew what they felt and what was going on, but it really didn't feel like they were trying to be part of the show. Just some actors...

I think the show has potential to be incredible. The premiere set up the situation decently, though they could have explored more of the worldwide effects. The second show, however, seemed really promising.

I love the show's concept, and the concept alone has potential for so many twists and surprises.

I'm hoping they give a decent explanation as to why and how it happened. Some guy built a device to make everyone pass out wont cut it...2009-10-07 16:42:00

I really like the direction this show is going. In my opinion, after episode 2 it has been only uphill. I can't say I'm fond of Mark Benford's acting, but the other actors seem to be falling into their characters nicely, especially Weddeck and Dr. Benford.
I think they could have a bit more character development as well, but the characters are slowly becoming more fleshed out even if it is taking a littler longer than I'd like.
After "Gimme Some Truth" it should be interesting to see the direction Mark and his wife take. Hopefully it will be a little more interesting on that front.

I also really really like the scenes they've had in pretty much every episode that have some real artistic flair. Most notably was the end of "Gimme the Truth" which I thought was fantastic. Even though there's some things that don't go over perfectly in the episode, the ending left me with a really good feeling about the episode.

I also like how Weddeck's character was explored a little more in "Gimme Some Truth". I think he's one of the better actors on the show.

...Okay, I think that's enough... I feel like I've just written a review!
