"If someone called rockey 1602 tries adding you on psn, deny the add, as apparently it messes with your account. Just got a message of someone, not sure if it's legit, but not worth the risk eh? Just thought I'd let you all know!" Uh oh, did anybody else besides me get this message? Do you believe these rumors?...or do you think it's just a lousy chain letter of some sort? | 2009-09-25 22:12:00 Author: Smart_Alex Posts: 189 |
Of course it's a chain letter... | 2009-09-25 22:18:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
Fshaw, of course its false, probably someone messing with you, as far as i know, there's noo way someone can mess with an acc by just being friends. (Unless you give them your password...) Not like your user name says are you Alex...? -_- | 2009-09-25 22:33:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

Stupid chain letters | 2009-09-26 01:28:00 Author: Jack Posts: 999 |
I don't understand why someone would go through an enormous amount of effort to create a PS3 specific virus that simply "messes with your account". Sounds fake to me. Edit: Thinking about it now, all of the effort put into this hack could only effect up to 100 PS3s as you can only have a maximum of 100 friends. Definitely fake. | 2009-09-26 02:33:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
Poor rocky1602. Some kid's PS3 probably just YLOD'd after accepting the request, and being the ignorant child that he is, went on the internet and told on poor Rocky over here. There, there, Rocky. I still love you. | 2009-09-26 03:23:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |

I got it, but I never send them on. Loads of chain mail recently. I never had any and then I got 4 in a week. | 2009-09-27 02:41:00 Author: moleynator Posts: 2914 |
People send chain-mail because they're bored and have nothing else to do in life. | 2009-09-27 10:07:00 Author: snowyjoe Posts: 509 |
They are all probably fake but I never assume they are or take them lightly since something messing with your PSN account is potentially accessing your personal and financial information. I simply do not forward them and just delete it. Remember... today's consoles are more PC like than ever. Edit: Thinking about it now, all of the effort put into this hack could only effect up to 100 PS3s as you can only have a maximum of 100 friends. Definitely fake. That would only be true if everyone had the same 100 friends in their list. Since that is not the case, it could potentially spread to another 100 accounts each time it is forwarded by 1 person so. | 2009-09-27 15:46:00 Author: rz22g Posts: 340 |
ughhh chain messages, so annoying! Ever since the copy feature it has just exploded in so much chain mail crap! | 2009-09-27 16:36:00 Author: Frank-the-Bunny Posts: 1246 |
Chain mail sucks. I like the way it evolves though. First email, then social sites now consoles. Technology has its downsides. | 2009-09-28 00:01:00 Author: adlingtont Posts: 321 |
