Why don't we have these songs?
Archive: 29 posts
I hear these amazing songs that should be a part of LBP, some are, but we can't use them, why not? That would be very nice if they were in that upcoming music pack. Good question. We seem to have limited amounts of "tweakable" music, so why not release the seeming plethora of un-tweakable music tracks like this to give us more variety? They are completed and ready to go... so why not at least give us more music options if we can't tweak more of what we already have? I think we're all getting tired of hearing the same old music over and over again. | 2009-09-25 05:03:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
Well, considering most of these songs are in the game I think it's safe to assume that Mm wanted to have some music specifically for certain things, like the tutorials, and certainly the intro, which is a phenomenal cinematic. Although some of those songs I don't recognize from anything, like Sepia Tones. I would love to have that track available in create mode. Very interesting question. Anyone know what the story is with this soundtrack? EDIT: Amazon lists the soundtrack NOT as the LBP "OST" - but as "Little BIG Music: Musical Oddities From And Inspired By Little Big Planet". So perhaps some of these don't have anything directly to do with LBP - and I would assume that they were either unused tracks that the Orchestra published on this record, or perhaps even music that was never considered for the game, but created around the same time or after. Have to look into it more though. EDIT 2: From Littlebigland.com's feature on Daniel Pemberton: "Alongside the eleven tracks featured in the game this unique eighteen track album also features other material that didn?t make the final product, as well as an exclusive specially extended version of the game?s wondrous opening music ?The Orb Of Dreamers?." | 2009-09-25 06:06:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |
MAN I LOVE THOSE SONGS!!! I would especially like it if they gave us the 'My Advice' ones and the background in the tutorials, but I doubt they will. Oooh I gotta get these on my i-Pod!!! | 2009-09-26 12:21:00 Author: RobbieT_4 Posts: 77 |
Media molecule mentioned a music pack in their podcast to come someday, so maybe some of these tracks are awaible there | 2009-09-26 14:39:00 Author: napero7 Posts: 1653 |
There's another good song that I didn't post, I think it's called Put Your Boots On or something. It can be found on Youtube. | 2009-09-26 17:23:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
We NEED Clouds Observer, Get Your Boots On and On the Waves, those 3 are perfect for ideas I have and would work so well with the game altogether. We all know the My Advice songs are Audio Objetcs, you can see them in the Creator Pack tutorials easily, so I think they'll very likely be in the music pack. | 2009-09-26 19:36:00 Author: persona3fan93 Posts: 155 |
'On the Waves' sounds like something that would be played at a funfair- which can be found on piers- the rumoured pier background.... Maybe water pack I love the songs anyway. My favourites are 'On the Waves' and 'Sepia Tones'. | 2009-09-27 11:56:00 Author: Plasmavore Posts: 1913 |
Clouds Observer is amazing, it's full of emotion and has a really nice 'hollow' quality to it. I'd love to see that in LBP. Sepia Tones is kind of fun as well, it seems to be inspired by old craftworky kid shows like Bagpuss Get your Boots on is really good too, someone should link to that | 2009-09-27 12:15:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |

My favorite of the songs is Cloud Observer, 2nd is My Advice pt. 1, 3rd is My Advice pt. 2. There was a My Advice pt. 3, should it be added? | 2009-09-27 18:31:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Why not. YouTube - My Advice, Pt. 3 - Little BIG Music (LittleBigPlanet Soundtrack) I like this one: YouTube - Flirty Cha Cha - Little BIG Music (LittleBigPlanet Soundtrack) | 2009-09-27 18:43:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |

"Get Your Boots On" RAWKS!! Wouldn't it be great if we got these AND they were editable? (not holding my breath though ) So... is this album actually out anywhere? I can't seem to find it with the exception of Itunes and I'm not into downloading. | 2009-09-28 00:01:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
I agree, it's a great song! It would work well with a wild west level. | 2009-09-28 00:18:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
I agree, it's a great song! It would work well with a wild west level. Wild west works for sure... I keep thinking modern day spies or James Bond. | 2009-09-28 00:29:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
Wild west works for sure... I keep thinking modern day spies or James Bond. That could work too. | 2009-09-28 00:49:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Does anyone else picture the Professor Layton games when they hear Clouds Observer? | 2009-09-28 00:50:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |
I just remembered that there may be another song called "Sleepy Head" or something... EDIT: Found it and added it. | 2009-09-28 03:30:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |

Wild west works for sure... I keep thinking modern day spies or James Bond. I just listened to a part of it again, and it does sound like a spy song, I just thought it sounded like a wild west song because of the trumpet. It would be cool if we could have a Int. version of that song and take out the trumpet. | 2009-09-28 04:39:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
YouTube - Metal Gear Solid Theme - Eminence Orchestra This is my favorite song ever. It would fit in an action level, running through ruins away from EVIL GOVERNMENT CYBORGS jumping over pits and the like. | 2009-10-01 00:33:00 Author: chezhead Posts: 1063 |

Does anyone else picture the Professor Layton games when they hear Clouds Observer? Yes, now that you mention it! I think it's the melody, sounds kind of like the one in game. | 2009-10-01 12:54:00 Author: RobbieT_4 Posts: 77 |
Man, I gotta get that album! I think that LBP also should get some more music. :hero:   :kz: :arg: :star: And look, the smileys agree with me! | 2009-10-02 17:28:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |
The Orb of Dreamers is the introduction music for LittleBigPlanet, the series of My Advice is the music for the tutorials, the rest should be in a new music pack and be available for download. It would be nice! | 2010-02-11 16:15:00 Author: PoD CREW Posts: 268 |
I like Get Your Boots On, Flirty Cha Cha, and Sleepy Head. They should make all of the music that isn't the tutorial and intro downloadable at some point. I really like the music, but there they seem to be similar to some other music in the game, which is why they should be add-ons. I think that the soundtrack, although it's really great, needs a death metal track or something. Does anyone else get tired of hearing The Wilderness music with all the audio tracks but drums and guitar removed? | 2010-02-11 18:42:00 Author: JellyWeasel Posts: 64 |
Don't forget this track too! "Horny Old Men" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qo9ThcHGOIw I have this album on my Ipod (not ripped from Youtube either ) and I would love to hear all of these tracks in the real game...shame a few didn't make the final cut! ;_; | 2010-02-11 19:42:00 Author: FuzzballFox Posts: 217 |
