Is there any way to colour string?, because I need to make something that looks like a vine.

No unless there's some clever trick with lighting, colour correction or invisible materials but I don't know it. The only other thing you can try is small circles of material connected together using invisible short string or bolts, this is quite thermo heavy though.

You can stick decorations to string I think, not tried in a while. yup last time I tried that worked, but stickers didn't, which is really what you want This would actually be a great feature if we could sticker connectors, or at least have a few visual representations of each.

Yeah, you can add decorations to string, I've done it myself in the Unhearted level. Stick a few leaves on it, they look excellent. A spotlight set to shadow shining though them gives a great effect to

You could also always paint a tentacle green and cover it in leaves, depending on what kind of style you want ...
