Demo will be released for XBL Gold members tomorrow, not sure when Silver members get it... but it should be awesome 6 cars, one track and the leaderboards mean it'll last me easily until 2nd October when Fifa10 comes out. And that will last me until October 23rd hen Forza comes out... So if you are getting the demo, post your gamertag, we can see who is LBPC's fastest racer

I bought a MS wheel last night week Forza 3 and Dirt2. I'll be downloading tomorrow definetly. I'll up for sone competition My Gamertag is GrantosUK. I wasn't keen on the career in Forza 2, it was a little stale, as were the tracks. This one looks loads better. Do you play pad or wheel?

pad - i can't afford the wheel. I held a top 100 time in a class on Mugello long on F2 though GT is IrOnmaid3nfan (That's a letter 'O', not the number)

Its addictive, I've playing it most of the day. I suppose settings may make a difference, so heres what I'm using.... autobrake off antilock brakes on stability off traction off shift manual sugg. line braking only opponents medium damage, fuel, tyres simulation I'm struggling a bit at the moment, spinning out, not changing gears etc but I'm gettting quicker 1:19.088 with the Evo.

I've only downloaded 40 % D: but in general i use no assists, other than traction control when i am in the race cars... Other than that, all assists off. Getting used to the clutch will be ... fun lol

Yeah, I had to turn it back on for R3 class thats on there, I've dropped back down to the mini lol. I wish you could just do a time trial, without the other cars.

Already played the fifa demo for over 25 hours lol, i don't need a review. And in the Mitsubishi i haven't set a lap time without any penalties ( i keep hitting the other cars - or rather, they hit me D but i did a 1:17.6

Yeah, the AI are always hitting you. Its a pain with the simulation damage mode on to. Looks like I'm gonna need to speed up

I hit 1:14 on a clean lap in the EVo But more impressively (to me anyways) In the Porsche (which was a carr that i was always quick in) I am 310th out of 100,000 who ahve used that car. Time was 1:00.917 I'm rather happy with that for now I could get it faster though methinks....

I just got a 1.17 in the Evo, my fatest yet, still no clean lap because of the AI. I wish you could just switch them off and drive round and round the track until you're sick instead of having to restart all the time, and fight your way past the destruction derby of the first couple of corners Nice work with Porsche time, 310th out of 100,000 is fantastic EDIT: 1.15.917, clean lap and I'm 22,518 out of 118,710. The top 18% EDIT 2: Getting quicker, 1:14.643, I'm now 6,444, and the top 5% EDIT 3: Shaved .5 of a second of that, now top 4%

Nice! Getting there Gonna go have another go now. And if you want a lap,don't move at the start and let them get half way round, make sure there is a big gap and then you have a clear lap next time

Done a total of 458 laps in the Porsche today in 2 sessions - so about 229 laps in each. Non stop. And i am still in the 00:59.131's.... So close! D: My time is now ranked 668th out of 890,000 though...

I'm going to the midnight launch on Thursday night.... I'm on half term until the 30th, so once i get all my essays out the way, i'll have ages for Forza I'm quite surprised by that time - Both the people i race with regularly and myself are all at about the same times for each car, and in one car i am only .001 slower than one of them :/ Just make some good races when it comes out You getting the LCE or normal version?

My xbox has gotten RROD. Lol. It was acting wierd last night, the screen was flashing different colours but I thought it was a dodgy HDMI lead. Got up this morning to check the storefront and RROD. It's an elite to, supposidly immune from it lol.

Its nothing special, I just wanted to have a play with the editor and get to grips with it. The decal is OK I suppose. Its for the fiesta, the vinyl is'nt up to much, its more of an experiment really lol I've just been on xbox.com to send messages to people telling them about the RROD and looked at your cheeves, you're doing a lot better than me in the short time you've had it.

Okay, that was obviously me being a little bit of a rascal. Seriously, hope you have many great times with the new console; rumor has it that the new Jasper chipset is making quite a difference when it comes to a lower frequency of RROD. I'm not sold on Forza 3 either; I'm perfectly content to wait on Gran Turismo 5 and - if it turns out to not be the best racing simulator on the market - then I may be forced to reassess my decision to never own a 360...

So, do you feel that Forza overtook Gran Turismo as far as simulation racing goes from the first installment or what? I'm just curious. I played the first Forza and thought it was great for a first attempt, but there was no need to fix something that wasn't broken as far as my own personal preference was concerned. Just curious to see what other peoples' opinions on the matter are...

I never played the first, but the second was, in my opinion, far superior to Gran Turismo - the handling and physics model was second to none (on consoles at least) There is just something about GT's handling that feels... off. And the same goes for the racing - it's more about driving than actually having a race...

I guess one would have to play both to see which would feel best, but did you play Forza before GT? If that's the case, maybe it's just that it's... different.

I played Gran Turismo from the first game - when i was like, 6 lol. I grew up playing GT, but as soon as i got forza, the actual racing just felt more... Real. It's a lot closer most of the time
