Possible cure for failed to load level?
Archive: 8 posts
I was just reading the comments on Tig-W's Wrecking Ball Survival and I came across an interesting one by Decoy805: when a level you're creating doesn't load, all you do is reset pod! Fortunately, I've never had this problem. But I understand a lot of you have, so maybe this could be of some help... Is this a hoax? Or has the cure finally been found? | 2009-09-23 14:25:00 Author: EVOin3D ![]() Posts: 91 |
Hmmm, well, I'll keep that in mind the next time one of my levels gets the error and I'll try it. It certainly couldn't make things worse AFAIK. | 2009-09-23 14:31:00 Author: Gilgamesh ![]() Posts: 2536 |
That's never worked for me... there is an option to reset pod or something when you get a red screen with a failed to load. If you do that, it wipes out your whole profile and doesn't really fix anything. I've gotten around it a few times just by repeatedly trying to load it for an hour or so, and once I break in, make some minute changes to the "state" of the level, and try to minimize the thermometer just a hair, then use save as to make a duplicate file. That saved me on my last two levels. | 2009-09-23 15:44:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |

I saw him posting this on a lot of levels, so my guess is he's just spam trolling. ...but its worth a shot i guess? | 2009-09-23 17:02:00 Author: Burnvictim42 ![]() Posts: 3322 |
I've gotten around it a few times by simply wiping my costume. | 2009-09-23 17:47:00 Author: Killian ![]() Posts: 2575 |
I don't really get the link between losing connection for downloading a level and your profile size. Sounds like his solution is bull. . | 2009-09-23 20:23:00 Author: RangerZero ![]() Posts: 3901 |
I don't really get the link between losing connection for downloading a level and your profile size. Sounds like his solution is bull. . Not totally. This worked for me once. I think different things may cause the "failed to load" issue, one of which may be something in your pod that's causing memory corruption. However, I think there is more than one reason it happens so this certainly isn't "THE" answer. | 2009-09-23 20:38:00 Author: CCubbage ![]() Posts: 4430 |
