I really loved cave story, one of the best platformers I have ever played. I think a level based on Cave Story would work incredibly well!!! Although I'm going to go with a series, like each section is a part of the game (Caves, Dragon Egg place, etc.) If online create comes out soon, I might help, but otherwise I don't think I can be of any use as I'm not good at creating alone

okay great yeah i was thinking of making first cave,mimiga village,egg corridor,grass town,sand zone,labyrinth,outer wall,plantation, final cave,last cave,balcony and hell lol remembered them all don't worry you can help by getting stickers of the sprites as well as making enemies bats,critters etc i haven't even made a level yet so i guess im pretty bad

I'm not sure how I would get the stickers though, no PS Eye or Eye Toy... >.< Perhaps put a link to the games website in the first post so people can look and see what we are supporting?

yeah okay i don't have a ps eye either although you could make them b putting blocks of different colored materials for the pixels although that would take a while

I'll test, thats about it. You might want to see if you can get in touch with Phort or shadowcrazy- Phort made a few levels already, Shadowcrazy has a lot of Cave Story Pixel art.

lol so BV it was YOU!!! hahaha well thank you for the introduction...yeah i love cavestory...i truly beat it (hell ending...all items...curly's underwear and yea) so id love to be a part of this...it also beats having crappy pseye quality pix....id much rather have the sprites be recreated so id love to help...maybe this should be turned into a social group just in case for any reason this thread locks up

tbh i loved the idea before...but now that i hear it bumped again i have one issue... why does it HAVE to be a remake? not trying to shoot it down as i said 2 years ago I LOVE cave story and beat it inside and out i know mostly everything there is to know about the game. which is why i have an issue with seeing a remake when we already have many ports and a wii remake you know what I'd LOVE to see? a SEQUEL...or a PREQUEL or another story in the same world of cave story....because PIXEL himself said he wouldnt make another sequel but encouraged others to do so with modding tools so yeah if this project is still alive i'd LOVE to help in anyway I can (which isnt much but since i did pixel art for LBP maybe i can still be useful?) but i'd only want to help if a new story is being made...like a SEQUEL, PREQUEL, or entirely new story that has nothing to do with cave story except for being in the same universe as cave story with mimigas and robots and such.

JUST got into it? lol you have much to explore and MUCH to learn before you get the TRUE ending...this I know you wont do on your first playthrough lol but yeah the war would be nice to explain....or even the sequel to the TRUE ending
