playstation network games/add ons

Archive: 22 posts

Finally I will be able to buy psn cards in Europe and buy some stuff of the store.

Now I have an important questions for you other ps3 gamers out there:
what games / add-ons are worth my money?

I have ordered a 50 euro (50 dollars) psn card so I will have to be careful I only buy the best things because my budget is limited.

The following games interest me=

* Burn Zombie Burn
* Flower
* Trine
* Wipeout HD + expansion
* Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lost in time hd
* super rub a dub
* calling all cars
* bf 1943 remake
* fat princess
* pixel junk monsters
* savage moon
* Tekken 5 dark resurrection
* Crash Bandicoot 1 (psn classic)

The following expansions interest me:

* Little Big Planet Metal Gear DLC
* Little Big Planet Monster / God of War pack
* Motorstorm Pacific Rift speed / adrenaline expansion pack
* Call of Duty world at war map packs

Please tell me your opinon if you have some of these games / expansions and tell me what things you would buy if you only had 50 dollars.

It's very important to me to make the right choices, thanks in advance

I will thank every post that answers me

I would personally go for:

-Burn Zombie Burn
- Flower

as games, and for the addons:

- MGS pack if you're a frequent LBP creator, god of war pack is BS.
- motorstorm Pacific rift maps are awesome, get them if you play the game regulary
- and for the codwaw mappacks, get the third one if you REALLY like the game, otherwise it's wasted money (I got all three, the third one is my favourite)

Agreed, even if you hate racing games just use it as a screensaver

* Flower
* Trine
* Wipeout HD + expansion

* Little Big Planet Metal Gear DLC
* Motorstorm Pacific Rift speed

There. That's all you need. BF is ok, but has too few maps.

Wipeout+expansion will be released on BD next month or so.
The Adrenalin package of MPR doesn't have enough value for money. It adds no events.

Whatever you decide on; buy Flower.

Dont get wipeout off the psn its out on blu ray soon.

http://kotaku.com/5359502/wipeout-hd-coming-to-blu+ray

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (officially) announced yesterday that both WipeOut HD and WipEout HD: Fury are to be bundled together on a Blu-Ray disc and sold at retail.

It'll be out in Europe on October 16, and priced at ?20 (USD$33). Even allowing for a wonky exchange rate, that's a great price.

No word on an American release, but then, it's a PS3 disc. If it's not released in the US, feel free to import to your heart's content.

?20

Hmm...in that case it might be a tiny bit cheaper than the PSN version, but I still prefer digital crap.

You have to get at least the Metal Gear Solid DLC and in my opinion Fat Princess. If you are into team-oriented gaming, Fat Princess will totally be for you, especially if you have a microphone. If not, Wipeout is the way to do. The Metal Gear Solid DLC expands upon what you can create by leaps and bounds, so that is a must as well. 2009-09-22 20:25:00

great feedback so far, keep it coming

Did anyone play turtles trapped in time remake ?

It seems fun and I liked the demo but it's short.

well i purchased dark resurrection, and i will tell you, if you are a Tekken fan, wait for Tekken 6. there is no practice, you have to pay more to fight online, you only get Lilly and Dragunov, and the moves are different. if you must have a tekken game and don't have a ps2, go for it. i give it 2 out of five, and thats with generousity

i think Crash was worth my money for the nostalgia. i play it like twice a month though

and what is shatter exactly?

Also I noticed something strange, there was a game top down scroller shooter in world war theme and it dissapeared of radar.

you can download the demo but no more purchase the game in the store, very strange?

* Trine - never heard of it.
* Wipeout HD + expansion - MUST HAVE
* Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lost in time hd -Not worth it.
* super rub a dub - Not worth it.
* calling all cars - Not worth it.
* bf 1943 remake -50/50
* fat princess Capture the flag, exept flag its a princess!
* pixel junk monsters - worth it.
* savage moon - 60/40
* Tekken 5 dark resurrection 70/30
* Crash Bandicoot 1 (psn classic) 50/50

* Little Big Planet Metal Gear DLC MUST HAVE
* Little Big Planet Monster MUST HAVE (plus history kit)

You haven't got this on your list but Quest For Booty Is very good...

If you have a small amount of money left you could buy loco roco cocorecho. But beware it's short and may not apeal to all people... but still worth it due to it's bargin price. Not to mention it's considerable amount of minigames and responsive six-axis control.

Random PSN thoughts

I would defenitely go with Flower, it is that perfect game when you desire "something else" for a change.

I don't really like racing games but I am in love with Wipeout, so that is a must buy.
The complete Burnout Paradise game is also for sale but quite expensive with all the add-ons.

Burn, Zombie, Burn is pretty fun, gets boring after a while but fun while it lasts.

Pain is a fun game in multiplayer and you don't really need the add-ons as the first map is still the best one and also the one you will most likely return to.

Pixel Junk Monsters is very addictive, very fun and you can also stream it to your psp (if you have one)

Tekken Dark resurrection, Arcade version of Tekken 5 in HD, nuff said

PS Classics: Can't go wrong with classic Crash 1,3 or Crash Team Racing, Medievil is also a great classic.
The US store has a lot more titles than the EU store but unfortunately you can't buy them without buying a US psn card via Internet first.

The Penny Arcade games are also quite nice, great humour.

Fat Princess: Must buy if you love online gameplay.

are there any more suggestions?

Is the patch of fat princess effective to remove the online connection problems etc and lag?

I found that instead of buying 1943, just playing the demo is more than enough to satisfy my wont for FPS. The Brutal Legend demo has me sweating. Still waiting for Uncharted 2 to finish downloading.2009-10-06 05:35:00
