Suggestion

Great job with the site so far... but I think the link from the main page to the forums needs to be more emphasized, especialy with the new fansite register! Perhaps taking it out of the sidebar and addding it as a seperate button in the banner, or something? Reason i'm suggesting this is that I think some people will miss it... I did at first, and the forum is arguably the best part of the site.

Similarly, we still need a link to the main page, like a clickable banner (again)

Yeah, that's been bothering me as well. I'll get on it.

He's done it. In what was the adspace, there is now an "ad" of sorts for the forum. It looks good.

In terms of the clickable banner, I'll see what I can do. I can't do it now, however, as I've got to go to school. See you guys in about 9-10 hours.

Ooh, Nice animation I say

Why not put the ads back? The whole "Redesign the site" was just a misinterpretation of the rules right, if it helps with hosting, put em back?

No, there are still rules regarding the site design. We can't use any images included in the kit if we plan to use any other images, so we are not using the kit at all. Also, advertising is still disallowed.2008-09-19 00:52:00

Are you SURE? That disregards alot of the current fansites.

I think you should also, make the link on the top right of the forums page more visible, it's too dark and blends in with the backround. I couldn't find it at first when I was on the site, just a suggestion though 2008-09-19 00:59:00

Yeah, I am. I'll offer some examples(here's the main site (http://www.littlebigplanet.com/fansite/en_US/)):

Example 1: In the Fansite Kit Terms, it says very plainly:
If you use the Fansite Materials, you must comply with the following rules:Note "If". Here are a couple of the rules it lists:

You may only use the Fansite Materials to create your own LittleBigPlanet fansite.
You may only use the material included in the LittleBigPlanet fansite kit. You cannot use any other logos, trademarks, characters or names owned by us or our associated companies.

Example 2: Although the Fansite Kit Terms say:
You cannot use the Fansite Materials if you make any money or gain any other commercial benefit from your fansite, for example by charging a subscription to other users, selling advertising space on the fansite or selling anything from it.We still must remove advertising because it is a requirement to be an official fansite, whether or not we use the Fansite Kit. The requirement is listed on the Fansite sign-up site (http://www.littlebigplanet.com/fansite/en_US/), along with a list of others. I'll list it here:

The site must be free to access and not commercial.

Note that it does not say we must use the Fansite Kit on the Official Fansite requirements.
