Thirst for AdventureSLS10
Run around on sand-covered hills! Travel through the dark bowels of recently discovered ruins! Hop around on rusting machinery! You can do all of these and more as you experience this level. It's loaded with secret bubble stashes and sticker switches. And, if you ace it... There will be a very special surprise for you.

This could be considered my big comeback - and it's also my first level where I focused on platforming instead of massive monsters. Bring on the criticism.

Oh my dear!
What a comeback! After some week of a creative down due to the dumbness of the LBP community (not the Central one ), you're here with this monster.
I would be glad to feel down any day if the result is a level like this one!

SLS, you did already prove to be a wonderful creator, but this one is cream of the crop.
The setting is really cool, the style is the one we have learned to love, with lot of different metals, good stikering and visible switches and mechanics.

This time the platforming is costant, with some little puzzles involved, usually to reach bonus areas.
And it's loooooooooong, I only remember rtm223's Subterranean Setbacks to be this long lately.
And the level still looks great.
You know how to silence the thermo and let it beg for mercy.
6 stars...5 really.

I didn't find any cons, if not the boss, that reminded me something...
Keep your levels coming and I'll love to play them.

Please F4F my level Run For Your Freedom (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=16695)

wow quite the amazeing level, its got alot of those favorite classic story line obstacles along with newer ones but all blended so tastefully. I couldnt find anything really wrong with it but there were a few oddities.

- at one part theres some stalagtites you only see for a moment that are shaped like lightning bolts lol

- boss was alittle oddly placed, kinda just abit random only if you think about it though.

-now i couldnt tell throwout the level was this egyptian desert themed or mexico desert theme?

thats about all i could think of, otherwise very polished level with lots of fun hidden points.

:star::star::star::star::star: ( of course)

Neither. It's based on general aridity - of course there's cultural influences, but it's not designed to lean towards one culture as opposed to another.

Also, to everyone else, thank you so much for your words of praise.

Hot diggity! A new level!

Just played it twice, wonderful job. The level may be a depature from your usual style, but it is definitely as good. The scenery is excellent, the platforming is a lot of fun, and it has that MMesque quality that all your levels do (at least to me). I kinda had to mention that because of the similarities i occationally saw in your level (the darkened area where a creature is your light, the boss which looks a bit like the collector, sticker shape cutouts, etc) but thats not a complaint, it all fit in very well. I particularly liked the time switch during the race (where the platforms move and reset), and the way that the darkness switches (when you fall down the hole it gets dark, then when you blast open the wall, it becomes bright again). The only problems i had were that the light monster can be destroyed if you pull the platform up before its all the way on there- but thats really a player issue more than anything, and that one of the sticker switches is something that requires some sort of DLC... i was rather bummed when i realized i couldn't get ALL the score bubbles you so lovingly placed everywhere.

Needless to say, 5 stars and a heart.

For F4F is it possible you could wait a bit? (still finishing up a level , hopefully plan to have it out within a week or so) If not, thats fine, i was going to play your level anyway ;p

I will say that I was greatly inspired by various obstacles that occured in the main story levels, but I wanted to give them my own little twist. I took the light-and-dark gameplay and added an itty bitty magnetic key challenge. I modeled Bullfist McSkazzlewhomp (the boss in the middle of the level) after the final Collector boss.

Also, burn, I did realize that the creature with the light on it could be destroyed, but I figured that you could restart and not really lose any progress.

Thanks again for your praise.

Checked this out a few nights ago and replayed last night... wait a second I played it with you.

Anyway - I like a lot about this level.

+ Good material usage and I love how you've got your shapes playing off one another with different materials (reminds me of MM and Jackofcourse) but it's got your style all over it.
+ Great platforming. Nice job taking some MM style obstacles but tweaking them so they feel fresh. Love the sponge on top of fire - nice thermo friendly obstacle and very cool choice.
+ Nice secrets - not too hard to find but they still feel like secrets. (Love the snake!)
+ Length - just about perfect. Not too long not short at all.
+ Good gameplay flow - not a lot of stops in the action and one obstacle flows into the next. It's a very interactive environment. Makes it very fun!

Not a thing I didn't like but one tiny nitpick would be the statue stickers you have. The color just jumps out like a sore thumb. I'd be curious to see if you placed that sticker on that Gradient tool level (It's in the cool pages section but I can't think of the name right now) so you could adjust the color to something warmer like the rest of your pallete - I think it would look better. Keep in mind this is the tiniest of nitpicks and I only mention it because of the quality of the rest of the level. I think it deserves this kind of small extra detail.

5 stars & hearted - it's awesome. Thanks for another fun level to play!

Found this level thanks to the Spotlight, and its great. I'd echo the comments about it being very 'MM', its got a ton of varied platforming, there's barely a inch that doesn't require some jump or grab and the look is very polished and solid. Really enjoyable!2009-10-04 22:32:00

I stumbled over this level today after I took a closer look at the spolighted level. So I played this level instantly....

Well, it was fun to play this level. But at least I was surprised when I saw a lot of creations that are used in the main-game... hmm... Gladly you created them in your own style :-)

This level seems to be a big cocktail where lot of different themes have been filled into a shaker, wiggle-wiggle, and this level plops out this cocktail is yummy ^^, but -for my personal taste- it has to many ingredients (different themes/styles).

Nevertheless a very solid/good level. Nice work!

I create levels that I like to play. When I played this level, I wanted to play again. And again. And again. I loved this level.

Besides survival levels, I just about never re-play a user created level.

I hate collectible prizes and love that you stuck to hidden point bubbles throughout the level. It makes the player explore rather than just get through the level thereby extending the life of the level. Because I try to implement a similar feature in my levels, I just had to find all of the points.

I have the level aced every time up until the boss! Aaaaaahhh! The jerky movements of the arms get me every time! I still played it again and again until I found all of the hidden point bubbles (at least I think it was all). Last I checked I was numero uno on the leader board. Whoo hoo!

I don't really have any real feedback as I love the look and gameplay of the entire level. I am tired of playing great looking levels with extremely stale gameplay. Gameplay makes a level and you have it. The great look is just icing on the cake.

:star::star::star::star::star: and a corazon gigante para ti.
