Player Housing

This is really weird, I know- it's just a game idea I've been CRAVING for, but anything that has it is some MMORPG that my computer can't run D:

Basically, what I want is a game that you have a house you. You do sidequests to get stuff for your house, and decorate your house with furniture you get from doing sidequests.

Not like the Sims- or Animal Crossing, where this is the focus- no, I want a game with an adventure, you just get furniture by doing other stuff and then decorating your house with it.

Weird, I know... but does anyone have any idea for something like this? <_> This is something I really want in a game... strange, I know

Sigh... ideas that don't include super high end RPGs where only the end game has this...? I doubt it seeing as how I've spent hours searching for this... BUT YES! D:

I think Ultima Online might have had some sort of option of buying a house in it. I haven't played that game, and I think for a while it was ruining the map and destroying the in game economy, plus it might have been only endgame. Seeing as I think it's 7 years old now though I don't think it would be too high end, and you would think they would have ironed out the kinks by now.

Another option to consider which is RPG but not MMORPG is Oblivion. Although buying and furnishing houses is not the key element, it does play a small part if you wish to be focusing on that aspect, with collecting enough gold to buy all the houses (and complete all the quests related to them) in each city. Just another one to think about. It's I think 2 or 3 years old now at least, and it also works on the PS3, but that version does not yet have every expansion avalible for it yet.

I don't know if Free Realms had any player housing, but it's a fairly low spec game with a large community. Lots of mini games to play! yay! No pvp though :'(
www.freerealms.com/
(I beleive you can play it on the PS3 as well)

Runes of Magic a Free to Play Microtransaction MMO had player housing. It's pretty much World of Warcraft, Guild Wars and Final Fantasy XI combined into one. You can also make your little garden!

If you're more into the Science Fiction side of things, then Star Wars Galaxies has a good player housing system. Although it was pretty much ruined because of CP and NGE. It's still a fun game for beginners.

Like Elbee23 suggested, Ultima Online is a pretty solid game too. Even after 10 years player housing still exists. You can even buy your own castles too! Problem is that most of the community are at the end game, and you might need to play some catch up to actually buy your first house

If you want a browser game then Habbo Hotel is the one for you!
The game has a very large community, and all you pretty much do in that game is design your own rooms, collect cool furniture, throw parties and just talking with random online strangers

www.habbo.com

There was also another browser based online game that was mostly about making houses, businesses and hanging out with people.... but I can't remember the name. The game had a better graphical interface compared to Habbo Hotel and is pretty new. I remember it was released in Korea and went into beta testing this year.... but i just can't remember the name....

Also finally, if you wanna go all LBP on your virtual houses then Second Life! is THAT game you always wanted.
Create houses from scratch, make gardens, motor vehicles, spaceships! out of digital 3D cubes!
Secound Life has it's own 3D graphical engine that allows you to create what ever you want, there is also a very strong communtiy out there and it's pretty much a game where you can do anything. Make a GTA 5 city, or just hang out with your friends in your new house. You can even start a flower shop!
