its hard to know how to help without seeing. what are your lighting settings . also are you using any lights or objects close by.2009-09-19 19:36:00

i have the max bright, 100% day-time set, 0 fogginess, regular color correction.
no light objects nearby. im also using front view, but that makes no impact on the issue

im standing on invisible dark-matter, infront of white rubber, but if i fly in mid air, i still have the same problem.

i was just wondering if their was a lighting combo that would eliminate most shadows in general (and keep my sackboys colors intact)

as for shadows, the inside of his legs, and undersides of his arms are all darkened.

You just have to play around with adding in your own lights to offset the global light as much as possible. There's no way to remove them completely, but you can reduce it greatly be adding spotlight and led's in the right locations.2009-09-19 20:13:00

Well, in create mode the best photo oppurtunities come from the front view which you can access fom the start menu next to the grid 2009-09-19 22:02:00

Yeah just as Incinerator says, change to front view and then take the photo. That goes for making stickers too. I make lots of custom stickers. I make them in game view because it's easier but always change to front view to capture it because that eliminates all shadows.2009-09-19 22:21:00

I think he knows.

well, it gets rid of shadows BEHIND the sack, but the lack of light under him is the issue still, so im just going to throw a fairy light under him, and adjust it till it looks natural2009-09-19 22:50:00

Could be the rubber. That sometimes throws weird shadow effects. When I take costume photos I stand on wood ( stickered or otherwise ) and have that white screen material behind ( not the illuminated one though ) and never noticed a problem.2009-09-19 23:16:00

Try setting the time to Noon ... at least the lighting would be more even since the sun is directly above.

You'll have to setup your own studio lighting setup.. get some LEDs, maybe 3, and put one on the left, one on the right, and play around with the other to try to get the lighting you want. Make sure they're white.

Use the "blue wood" material as it's the smoothest.2009-09-20 00:00:00

There will always be shadows on the legs to some degree.

A technique I used a few times is to start of in normal view then begin to take the pic. Press start and select front view. Unpause and take the pic before the camera settles in to front mode. You should have a pic where the shadow hasnt yet had the time to move from its normal view position to front view.

Adding lighting seems to just worsen the problem.
