sackhovens moonlight sonatarobalabob
title says it all really. its a music level with some fancy settings thrown in for good measure, first music level that i played with and a learning curve for sure but i am very happy with the result and response so far
all
this was my first music level, created around 6 months ago but i decided it should be ok to post as a new level as i am new to the site.

sackhovens moonlight sonata is as you can probably guess, a music level. with this i decided that i wanted to concentrate on the music more than gameplay itself. saying this, i had previously became very aware of how boring a lot of music levels were - a huge number of blocks with visible sensors whilst flying past on a block on wheels - and decided to spice mine up a little.

the background setting is only to please the eye as much as the portraits were made to inject some humour. if you are like me and like music levels but dont like looking at blocks whilst doing so, then give this a go.

all critisism will absolutely be taken into account as this has been a huge learning curve for me and has helped me progress my skills tenfold with the help of the feedback i have already recieved

This was really fantastic stuff. I'm not generally a fan of music levels, but I know great work when I see it. I've never seen a music level handled with such precision and care for the visuals outside of maybe Icey's Snow Queen music level. Really great stuff.

As I said in the visitor message, you might want to hide the motor bolts in the level so they don't make any noise.

I also checked out the level with working piano... Really awesome stuff, lol.

cheers for the kind remarks. i know about the bolts too, im affraid i have neglected this level and moved onto greener pastures, well.... other pastures at least. i do however plan to get back to this level in order to refine some of the issues - for instance, the noise from motorbolts, the getting on and off the chair - and decoration (the background is a bit samey i feel). i also got a great idea from basket snake too add some thunder and lightning.

i will have to check that level out me thinks by icey maiden or something...winter song.. or icey land song..... ill check what you wrote and check it out.

again thanks for advice

I had the pleasure of playing this the other day, superb job. Like comphermc said, it was a terrific level, with some nice scenery, or as he said "really great stuff" 2009-09-21 09:00:00

cheers lad, i was very pleased when i finally got to finishing this level but again i cant help but notice the whiring motors. ill let everyone know when i got the 'le onde' level finished. im excited to see what people think

other than that i am always looking for things that would help sackhoven a more relaxing experience because that is its intention, a music level that you can relax to without having to stare at wooden blocks
