THE TRIBE: PART 2Phife24/Phife24
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_45-1.jpgPicking up immediately after Part One, you're on the run from the tribe and looking for an escape. As you tread deeper into the tribe's territory, your chances of survival dim... This level was designed to play out like an action movie. After the first level's jaunt through the outskirts of the tribe's camp, this takes the player to the middle of their ruined city, a deadly fishing village, the hazy treetops, soaring towers, all leading up to a final mountaintop confrontation. I've cranked up the wattage on this one considerably, and I hope it feels bigger, better, and badder than the first!

Non stop action from the ground floor all the way up in this cool level. From the very first scene you know your in for a heck of a ride. From crumbling temple ruins, to an eclectic tribal village, through soaring towers and delicate bridges and up the tallest limbs of trees, there is visual diversity and style at every turn. Very movie like in it's cut scenes and especially so in the final boss battle. A very entertaining level guaranteed to make your pulse race and amaze your eyes.An awesome intro sequence sets the scene and tone for this level as the history pack comes to life in spectacular style. Ancient ruins and villages are yours to explore. Awesome characters too.The set pieces in this level are phenomenal, from the intro, to the final boss they are action packed, and superbly crafted, propelling you through another visually stunning and perfectly playable level. If you hav'nt played this level yet (or in fact both versions) then your missing out on some of the best experiences LBP has to offer. One of the longest, most enjoyable stories in LBP history returns! Phife?s ?The Tribe? series returns with another solid effort. The story picks up where you were left in the last level and quickly sees you travel from village to trees and then further. Phenomenal visuals and innovative gameplay are thrown in for good mix too.VAGRANT HERO (series of levels) GEK83/GEK83
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_48-1.jpgThis is'nt a single level but a series of levels divided in chapters! The story is the classic of 16bit age: if you are a videogame character,be sure that your girlfriend will be kidnap by demons. The entire series will be 10 or 15 chapters.

Top notch character designs in a compelling story complete with moments of laugh out loud humor make for great levels to play. This series has all that plus beautiful landscapes, innovative weapon usage and some downright awesome game play going on. RPG players and fantasy themed level fans do not miss these three levels.A brilliant story, great detail on the landscapes, enemies and characters make this level a joy to play. I loved the sword and bow mechanics, very well designed and perfect in there implementation. I can't wait for the next part. OH NO!!! THE PRINCESS!!! World 4: Big IslandCaptainCowboyHat/CaptainCowboyHat
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj119/tumorzombie/APhoto_16.jpgJourney to the very orange wilds of Big Island, the island where everything is big! Including... you?

The same quirky sense of humor and platform goodness presented in another fantastically fun but challenging level. Great colors, great game play, and a healthy dose of funny make this a must play level. Especially noteworthy is the big/little change up in the level. The 4th in a series always has the problem of staying fresh while remaining true to the series and CaptainCowboyHat manages this with aplomb. This constantly evolving series can takes its seat amongst the very best that LBP has to offer.Well, its another fantastic entry into a fantastic series by CaptainCowboyHat. Following the king, who at times is laugh out loud funny, through more taxing hazards only set on one plane in a hark to the older days of platforming games, its wonderful to play, and a joy to look at.Imagine for a moment you are no longer in your small physical state ? but instead could jump from island to island swinging on massive apples and pears. Sounds crazy right? Think again. This is the pretext of CaptainCowboyHat?s return to platforming gold with another Oh No!!! level. As you?d expect the platforming is brilliant, the humour is top notch and the annoying makes-you-lose-all-your-lives boss returns too.Melding Witchcraft BasketSnake/BasketSnake
http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/58/aphotor.jpgThe witch is on the lose again. The story continues where Northern Witchcraft ends. The witch has mixed all sorts of creatures and architecture together in this potato stew of a level. Breeze through. Try for combos....but I promise you if you look hard enough you will be rewarded with a cool easter egg.

Imaginative play among beautifully designed and eclectic characters what's not to love. Secrets a plenty and these are hard to find and even harder to get to even if you find them. Stunning bubble designs too which is a level of detail often overlooked by level designers. If you thrive on challenge and appreciate good design you owe yourself a play through this wonderful level.A bizarre and wonderful journey through the mind of BasketSnake. When I reached the scoreboard I had no idea what I had just experienced other than that it was an amazing experience!I was absoloutly blown away by this level by Basketsnake. The sheer amount of detail, stunning architecture and colour in the level is simply fantastic. The character designs and platforming sections keep to the outlandish and fantasy setting perfectly. When someone goes to these lengths to create something, you owe it to them, and yourselves to experience it in all its glory. What? Huh? Seriously? Questions rush through your head playing this level ? but you have no time to answer them because the fast paced action and your bubble collecting instinct kick in and show you that the crazy mind of Basketsnake is indeed both hilarious and disturbing. Nevertheless this level has beautiful visuals, great, if somewhat crazy, gameplay and a moving story! Must-play.Digitized Reality: The Labsteve_big_guns/steve_big_guns
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1283&d=1252372744Be the first participant to test the new prototype virtual reality system. The level starts in the media molecule laboratory. After entering the virtual reality program you get to enjoy media molecule intro themed platforming action. The level starts in the media molecule laboratory. After entering the virtual reality program you get to enjoy media molecule intro themed platforming action.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-x5BvsC4YA"]YouTube - LittleBigPlanet: Digitized Reality: The Lab by steve_big_guns

All the cute factor of the MM introduction level quickly devolves into a nightmarish scenario in this cool level. Great visuals with moderate difficulty platforming make this level broadly appealing and the paintinator action at the boss will give anyone looking to ace a run for their money. It's a fun level that may have you looking twice at your pod when you finally return. Some great sticker use (I think a monster arm is used as a rockface) and innovative and varied level design makes this my personal favourite of this Spotlight Episode. Judging by the plays and hearts, there are plenty of others who agree on the level's greatness! Awesome start to finish.I loved the sheer creativity of this level, from the normalness of the starting lab, to the weirdness of the virtual reality sections to the awesome design and ideas at the end (that I don't what to spoil). I have no doubt you'll be impressed by the scope and design of the level that Steve-big-guns has created. With the slight dip in the amount of levels set in modern times comes great responsibility to create a new experience. And yet somehow Steve_Big_Gun?s has pulled this one out of his proverbial hat and splatted it down in front of us. No idea what I?m saying? Just go play this simple yet challenging level and you?ll thank me. Sacky Potter and the Philosopher's SpongeNuclearfish/Nuclearfish
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=705&pictureid=6596Lord Voldymould is after the Philosopher's Sponge - a legendary substance which produces the Elixir of Infinite Life Checkpoints. Only the "Sackboy Who Lived" can get to the Sponge first and stop Voldymould from using it to return to power...

From the minute you step into this level you can see the love and commitment Nuclearfish has for the subject material. Amazingly detailed and full of wonderful movie references with a unique LBP spin, this is a level not to be missed by anyone. Seriously beautiful in places and always amusing, this is a great level for all ages to enjoy.I love Harry Potter, and a search on LBP a few months back yeilded pretty mediocre results so I was happy to hear that Nuclearfish was taking the subject on. In the end I was amazed at what he achieved. This, along with Julesyjules Star Wars show how movie based levels should be done. Loved this level so much that I stuck the movie in to watch it immediately afterwards! There is a staggering amount detail and care gone into this level based around the Harry Potter movies. Even though I'm no fan of the wizard himself, the level is a fantastic play. A visual treat and a cracking play all rolled into one magic little level.A simply magical experience from someone who must be a wizard in being able to whisk up such a great conundrum curse in order to fool us all into thinking this level is great. But wait ? look past the charm casted and you?ll still see a truly spectacular level created by the great NuclearFish. But do you have the courage to defeat voldermort in the ultimate showdown in LBP history?Castle of the Witch Queen: Part OneBercilak/Bercilak
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_46-1.jpgThe Witch Queen needs a hero! Depart from Sackville in response to her summons and descend into the deepest recesses of her castle. Your adventure takes you through a magic crystal mine, a Frankensteinian laboratory, and the Witch Queen's sensuous boudoir! Discover the castle's gruesome secrets and do battle with its imposing gatekeepers!

A wonderful fairy tale beginning that ends in a bang. Great character design inluding some awesome frogs, a suitably pretty Witch Queen and some less than normal frogs along with great gargoyle statues all set in a beautifully detailed landscape make this an eye candy extravaganza. Very fun and explosive boss battle action too. Great fun! This is the perfect LBP level. It's a great mix of platforming, cute characters, gorgeous scenery and most importantly, fun. Only has 24 plays and 9 hearts as I write this, which is an absolute travesty.I have to say, this level has some interesting puzzle ideas, blending frogs and pulling out dying creatures brains is certainly original, and its a whole load of fun to. Like Matt82 said, for a level of this pure quality and brilliance, the plays and hearts and criminal. Please play this and show an excellent creator some appreciation. Not convinced you want to play this yet? Well what if I tell you that there?s a a pervert in a tree, all the villagers seem sexually aroused and nobody knows much about the queen living in a castle that dominates the landscape. Now I've got your attention it's time for me to tell you how visually stunning, platformingly brilliant and just how amazing this level is. Don?t miss it!Cheese in the DarkAselrahc/Aselrahc
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_43-1.jpgPercy the Packrat has accidentally thrown you in with his collection of random trinkets. He feels awful and invites you to party with him in his cheese vault! On your way there, however, you make a wrong turn and find yourself in a strange subterranean world complete with a monster guarding a magical stone. As with most of my levels there are secrets to find and lots of score bubbles to be won!

A brilliantly lit (if you have an HD TV) level with some fantastic camera usage awaits players in this level. Great vignettes where I just stopped to look around and marveled at the great scenery. A cute story that has you hopping behind the walls, running past glowing mushrooms, sewerage tunnels and ending up in a cheese vault (I wonder if there's any Cornish Yarg in there?) What's not to love?!?Aselrahc has created a wonderful level full of nooks and crannies to explore as well as great scenery and use of the GLT. His original take on already created objects (those fantastic glass mushrooms that glow) must be seen. What an excellent idea for a level, a very original premise also offers some of the best platforming and lighting I've seen so far. Plenty of nooks and crannys to explore as you head toward the goal of the cheese. I'm just pleased it wasn't a lie, like the cake. The Lost Temple of the SunstoneAselrahc/Aselrahc
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_50-1.jpgSearch the jungle for the Temple of the Sunstone! Watch out for the many traps!

For those looking for the ultimate Indiana Jones type of jungle ruin adventure look no further! Great gameplay as you climb, swing and jump your way around booby trapped corridors and staircases. Amazingly beautiful details and lush jungle greenery made with excellent attention to material usage make it as beautiful to see as to play. An all around excellent level with some humour thrown in for good measure. One of my favorites for sure.Something that becomes apparent very early on in this level is that Aselrahc knows how to make amazing levels. These levels are not just gorgeous but expertly judged as well. Doors appear in layers you hadn't even noticed were there and everything looks like it has grown naturaly in create mode rather having been built. You owe it to yourself to give this a go.A level Indiana Jones would be proud to adventure through. This level keeps on you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. It has a very organic look, which is extremely hard to create. I have no doubt you'll enjoy this level, its quite an achievement that Aselrahc has two levels in one spotlight, and each one is a gem.A quick romp around the jungle turns into a full on adventure as you discover the lost temple of the sunstone, but do you have the courage to venture inside and brave the many traps ahead of you? If not, get your gaming head on and prepare to take on one of the greatest adventures in LBP history. The Temple of Energyhalomcap/halomcap
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1319&stc=1&d=125275964%20%200Legends whisper of an ancient place. A place full of life and fervor. The Temple of Energy. Inside many wondrous things can be seen and found. Even the ultimate treasure, sought after by tens of thousands before you... The Energy of the Universe.

A level with a high tech style and a very lofty story line that will make an impression. Material usage and lighting set this level apart and the combination is a visually interesting level full of color and movement that is both beautiful and technically impressive. You'll never look at plasma balls the same way again. Dim the lights for this light spectacular!Wow! Probably the best use of plasma balls since they were introduced to us. The end scene is actually breathtaking. This level does things that you've never seen before, what are you waiting for? Bravo!First, a word from Mrs. GrantosUK, who was actually intrested in this level as I was playing, "I thought the level is beautiful but sinister all at the same time". I have to congratulate you on grabbing her attention where video games are concerned. I was blown away buy the puzzles and the use of lighting and plasma balls, and like Matt82 above me said, the ending is fantastic, we both stood a while and tried to work out how you did it. If a recommendation comes courtesy of the wife, then you'll find get no better 00Sack - Revenge - Part I & Part 2v0rtex2002/v0rtex2002
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u180/v0rtex2002/LBP%2000Sack%20Revenge/APhoto_13.jpgIn part 1 we find our hero right where we left him at the end of 00Sack - Betrayed - alone in the middle of the desert. Follow along as he tirelessly tracks the double-crossing Octacon. Part two continues as our hero seeks his revenge. But is he lost or has he found the trail again?
Enjoy the scenery while it lasts!

Solid gameplay that you'll need to think through at points along with some technically impressive puzzles/challenges make these levels stand out. You may not notice how complex things are behind the scenes but when your playing try and imagine wiring up the forklift section or the triple rotating circle "boss" section and you'll have a new appreciation for what went into this level. Entertaining story line that will have you hot on the trail of Octacon is sprinkled liberally with humerorous LBP references. Let the plasma balls fly and stay on your toes. Its a been a long time coming, but its been worth the wait. Continuing the 00Sack series with great style, the two levels flawlessly lead into one other, and with a choice routes, great puzzles, plenty of secrets and some great design, you'll want to know how the story ends, and enjoy every second of your journey.Vortex has the coolest beard ever. Sorry about that ? but he also has one of the coolest set levels out there too. The 00Sack series has just gained not one but TWO new instalments. Both are worth the play through and if you?re not satisfied by the beautiful visuals, excellent gameplay and generally brilliant story then we may just have to kill you. These levels employs a system of lifts and elevators that is more complicated than most creators could manage. You'll have to think your way through these and they are perfectly judged from start to finish.Mars Attacks III: Unleashing The Beast BelowGrantosUK/GruntosUKhttp://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=540&pictureid=6655Hot on the heels of the captured General Cubbage, Sergeant Casper heads deeper into Mars's underbelly. Once there, and shadowed by and unforeseen beast, he is to find out the war for Mars is to take an unexpected twist. Theres all the usual, backtracking, secrets etc etc and some of the 3D glitch too... You have to find General Cubbage, and avoid the beast thats watching your every move. Theres plenty of platforming, a few puzzles, and I hope a couple of surprises towards the end.

Everything you'd expect from a GrantosUK level plus more this time around. Stepping up the visuals to add some deep and detailed backgrounds compliments of the 3D glitch, making your way back and forth through the obstacles and puzzles GrantosUK has deveised takes on a much richer visual experience. Great secrets that will have you checking every nook and cranny and will probably have you back again and again to find them all... or at least try. Really fun and rock solid gameplay - don't miss this!An old man once told me he was making a series of levels based in Mars and that the general would be named after a great forum member. Naturally I laughed in his face and called him old because that?s what I?m like. However that old man was GrantosUK ? and let me tell you ? you never doubt him. Two beautiful levels later and many hours invested wields this, the third in his ?crazy? series. Morale? Never doubt an old man named Grant?? Back on the trail of General Columbo Cubbage, GrantosUK has once again surpassed his already gargantuan achievements with part 3 in his Mars Attacks series. While I fear no contradiction when I say that this is the best level in this series, only a fool would doubt GrantosUK's ability to top this with his up and coming levels.

Gruntos had the same issue. It's a one shot so you need to keep hitting it. For some reason it wouldn't work with him, but when we did it in 2p, it worked fine. Have no idea what the issue is.2009-09-19 15:49:00

Congrats creators!
Wonderful levels.
I'm particularly happy that some levels that had very little interest in their respective threads got spotlighted.
That makes the spotlighter's work even more precious.

On a side note it points out that some creators doesn't promote properly their levels...and that's quite a pity.
