Leonardo da Stickerist ~ Art Contest ~ Round I ~ OVER! Winners on Page 5

Stickers can really change a level, they can make it look much more realistic, or give it a cartoonish feel. Take AntonioLadrillo for example, he uses stickers on almost all his levels, and it gives them a unique style that really tells you he made it.

So, to show what awesomeness can be made with stickers, I decided to make this contest. Create art with the many stickers at your disposal, and try to bring out interesting and unique art.

Without further ado, I present to you... Leonardo da Stickerist!



Rules:

1. No decorations! Only stickers!
2. The only tools you can is the sticker placer, and the selector so you can delete unwanted stickers.
3. The picture must be on a piece of cardboard. You can choose whatever size it is, but it has to be cardboard, and nothing else!
4. Stay to theme! Every round will have a theme, so stick to it, and don't make something completely off-theme!
5. Only two entries per round, and you can only win once a round. Also, if you win a round, you cannot win the next round, but you can still participate just for fun.
6. Judges can enter the contest, but they cannot win.
7. Post a picture in this thread when you are done!

Squirlin, I think there's a problem with the images hosting in this site.
I had the same problem when I arrived here :
some people (including me) couldn't see the pictures when they are posted in threads,
so I hosted all my images in another site, and just copy/paste the IMG code here and it worked perfectly!

Cog, just to know, are you on MAC?

Concerning your entry squirlin, It looks awesome!
But I just can see the small thumb, and when I click on it, it doesn't appear in real size...
Strange cause I can see all your others images perfectly
(and I must say that your artworks are quit impressive!! Just love the faces, they are beautiful!!!)

Okay - here it is. It's called 'Tears of Jealousy' and tells how the city was flooded with the tears of one jealous girl (you can see the object of her jealousy in the window to the right - with his love). Well, I wanted to enter this contest, but having found out about it just now, I don't think that's happening. I don't know if the original post has been completely updated recently, but it says that two more judges are needed. Seeing as how tomorrow is my birthday, what better way to celebrate it than by judging an art contest, right? I would need explaining on the way being a judge works, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Please don't let my forum status discourage you from choosing me, as I feel I'm more than acquainted with the workings of the internet. I haven't a single level to show for my artistic abilities, but a creator by the name of Super_Sonic5411 is currently using a remade version of the PSN's 'Orange Monkey' avatar as his own in LittleBigPlanet, which was made by me in Create Mode with the use of the photo-taking tool. The only problem I can forsee as of right now is the fact that I don't get home from school until 3:00 PM, GMT -7.2009-09-30 06:10:00

Really great and clever sticker work on that beautiful and "moody" picture.

Kipmonlin had a great use of silhouettes that really made this picture stand out.
The contrast between the sky and water and the objects was beautifully done, and the leaves on the tree really made this look like a peice of Japanese art. Great job!		2009-10-02 01:18:00

Wow, this was really cool, wish I had taken a look earlier on. The entries are gorgeous, and a very clever contest too, Cog. This was a cool little treat to look through! Looking through the entries, some amazing choices for winners, but I also gotta mention iiijujube's sweet ship shot (He's a regular Little-Big-Aivazovsky (http://images.google.ca/images?hl=en&um=1&sa=1&q=Aivazovsky&btnG=Search+images&aq=f&oq=)!) and Babydoll's cool sunken city. It actually reminded me of a scene from a freaking incredible animated short film called Joy Street by Susan Pitt. It's a powerful, sad, amazing little movie (with an insanely weird 3rd act that I'm not totally sold on), but who knows, maybe you'll like it. Here's the scene that your entry reminded me of, but you should really watch the whole movie if you're interested (it's a good half hour long though, in 3 parts on youtube).

I live in Vancouver, so I feel your pain.

Of course, for an accurate image capturing the mood of the Pacific Northwest, I find that this image (http://imgur.com/apZt2.jpg) will suffice.
